Workshop Leader Application: Expanding Your Horizons STEM conference
Thank you for your interest in being a workshop leader for next year's Expanding Your Horizons (EYH) conference April 20 2019!  At this conference, middle school girls will come to campus to be engaged in hands-on STEM workshops.

We are looking for excited and passionate UK students (undergraduate and graduate) to work in groups to design and lead this workshops.  To be a workshop leader (and to be considered for enrollment in the accompanying EXP course) please complete and submit the following application form by Dec 20, 2018.

Workshop leaders must also enroll in a 2-credit class component (through the Experiential Education program) to recognize the time and effort you will put into designing and leading the workshop.  This class will meet for ~2 hours/ month in the spring semester and credit will be given based on your completing the workshop and writing a reflective essay.  If you want to lead a workshop but can not register for the course let us know and we may grant an exemption to this requirement.

Please keep in mind that you don't have to know the answers to all these questions. If you are accepted you will work on this throughout the semester with a mentor.  But, please answer them thoughtfully so we know that you are serious about being a workshop leader and what you are interested in doing.

If you have any questions, please contact Carmen Agouridis at carmen.agouridis@uky.edu.
