This book completely rocked. The reason I didn't give a full 5 stars was my confusion with Kate's character and her back and forth mood with Jon.

Jon and Evie run a private investigation company. The two of them and Kate have been friends for many years. Kate has been secretly in love with Jon. But, she has never openly flirted with him, because she knows that Jon crushes on Evie. After a short term relationship with Evie, Jon and Evie have realized and accepted that they should better stay friends.

Kate always projects a sexy image and embraces a 'slutty' identity. She always looks easy with men and sexually available. She's sexy, beautiful, mouthy and she is never afraid to say what she thinks. Jon is intrigued and charmed by her. After many years of close friendship, he doesn't hesitate to hit on her. And finally Kate gets what she's been craving for!

Before starting the PI business, Jon was a soldier and now bad memories during his time in Iraq are threatening his relationship with his friends and Kate. Kate will have to prove to him that her image to others doesn't reflect her true self and that she's trully in love with him. Jon will have to fight his inner deamons and treat Kate sweeter and fairer. The two of them will have to fight to give their friendship the chance to flourish and develop into real love.

I liked the writing style and the side characters but I couldn't connect with Kate. She was a real kicker and her relationship with Jon was one emotional roller coaster after another. One moment she was up, the next she was down! I understand that she tried to protect her heart from Jon, but her hot and cold gaming was quite frustrating.

If you fancy a sexy, light, entertaining read then this might be for you.

I first met Jon and Kate in Uncovering Love. Their constant bickering grabbed my attention and I am over the moon that these two got their own book.

Jon and their mutual friend, Evie, own a PI business that Kate helped them start. One night Jon and Kate’s bickering turn into a night of passion and after asbestos is found in the walls of Kate’s apartment building, her and Jon are forced to room together.

I liked Kate and her fiery, outgoing personality in the first book but I didn’t expect how much I’d love them both in this book. In Uncovering Love, Jon was quite judgmental about Kate and her choices and I hoped she’d bring the straight-laced ex-army alpha down a peg. And boy, did she ever.

Whilst Jon still doesn’t approve of her choices much of his knowledge about her is based on his own assumptions and the tough façade Kate puts forward. Through working together on cases, Kate’s crazy antics and their forced living arrangement he begins to learn there’s much more to her. Kate in turn has always harboured secret feelings for Jon but feels as though she doesn’t deserve a good man like him. Yet, they can’t deny the attraction they both feel.

The book is littered with the antics of friends and curious cases of clients that lend some humour to an already charming novel. Jon turned out to be such a sweet and thoughtful hero and watching the gruff alpha navigate his feelings, both for Kate and his own personal issues was endearing, adorable and at times incredibly sad. Kate showed a vulnerable side underneath her tough and extroverted exterior that only made me love her more.

The chemistry between the two burned off the pages and made for some seriously hot interactions. There were also moments so touching that I was reading blurred words through my tears. These two were just beautiful together.

With so much going on in this book, it’s a testament to the author’s abilities to make it all flow so seamlessly. Being a darker read than the first, I found this novel rich and quick paced with all the characters and action, some laugh out loud moments and extremely sweet moments. I couldn’t put this book down and it’s certainly going on my list of favorites.

The perfect blend of sexiness, fun, and humorful. Uncovering Desire was down right relatable. Kacey Shea's best work so far. The chemistry between the two main characters is off the charts. The story line was well put together it was unique and realistic. The story was hard to put down once you got into it, I read it in a day and a half but could have finished it in less than a day if people wouldn't have kept interrupting me.

If you're looking for a fun and laughable read than this is it. If you read Kacey Shea's book you will automatically fall in love the words, and the soul of the story. It just doesn't get any better than that. After reading this book you will feel like you just gained three new best friends. The author captures a lovable story that you will want to take it any place you go.

So please give this book and this series a chance and make Kacey Shea your favorite new debut author because she is pretty incredible. The way she has with words really touches your very soul.

This is the second book I have read by Kacey Shea and I never seem to get enough! I read it in one sitting and ignored life.
This story started with hilarity and it did it's job of completely sucking me into the story from then on. I read the first book, Uncovering Love, back in June and I found it surprising that even though it was months ago, I was easily transported back into the lives of these characters as if no time had passed at all. That is a talent I rarely see and I loved finding it in Kacey!
This book was told in Jon's and Kate's POV, people we were introduced to on the first book and it was a joy ride. I still got my dose of Tate (MY LOVE!!) and Evelyn and I must thank Kacey for that!
I found myself unable to stop smiling through almost the entire thing. This story was just too adorable and quirky that there was never a dull moment. But that's not all, we also find out more about what shaped Kate into being who she is and it's a serious issue. This book has it's serious moments and appreciated them as much as I did the funny ones. Kacey touches on real life experiences and it adds a unique and believable flavor to her writing. The characters are brought to life and I felt like I could hang out with them someday. With that said, the character developments of both Jon and Kate were satisfying and the best part, they are still developing, just like a real person would.
My favorite character in this book, besides the main duo, has got to be DREW!!! That man is a whole new level of hilarious and I found myself tearing up from laughing so hard at what came out of his mouth. I want to reread this book just to experience his quirkiness again.
Also, quick note, I fangirled when I stumbled upon my last name (Carpio) on this book!
Despite the length of this novel, the depth found in its pages was a blow to my heart. I sympathized completely with all of these characters and I can't wait for the next novel!
I also want to thank Kacey with the bottom of my heart for mentioning on her acknowledgements. It was a complete and utter surprise and I couldn't stop crying for a couple minutes. It's a surreal and fantastic feeling that I hope everybody gets to experience at least once in their lives someday!

I enjoyed the first book in this series but I absolutely loved this second installment. The amount of growth in the writing and character development was outstanding. This book was an emotional roller coaster throughout and had you trying to piece everything together and guessing secrets. Every time you thought that the HEA was in sight another road block popped up, from hot and flirty rock stars to pasts and losses coming back to haunt them. I was easily and quickly pulled into the story and was it held my attention throughout.

We got a taste of John and Kate in Uncovering Love and their back and forth bickering friendship, and I couldn’t wait to see their story unfold. I knew it would be fun and frustrating. John surprised me, he was so closed off at first but once you start to learn about his past and really get to know him, you can’t help but fall in love with him. Kate is sassy and confident, we learn what makes her the way she is and woah is it a dozy. This book is full of sexual tension, it was exploding of the Kindle pages. The two are hot together.

I highly recommend this book and the hot cover doesn’t hurt either. It’s a fun romance that shows that yes bad things can happen but with the right people and help you can move on and cope. I can’t wait for the next book in the series to see where the author takes us next. GO ONE CLICK!!!!

You meet Jonathan and Kate in book 1 of this series and you can't help but fall in love with them. You see them both struggle with personal issues while dealing with each other's issues. While they both move through their days, their sexual chemistry builds until it explodes, and in the true fashion of a romance novel they both say things that hurts the other and things go south quickly. Their jobs take them in directions that they both find hard to deal with. I loved seeing them both fight their battles secretly as you get to see them both on a deeper level. It was nice to see Evie and Tate from time to time and see their bond was still going strong.

Throughout Uncovering Desire you get to see Jon and Kate's push and pull sexual banter but you also see their I-stole-your-toy in the sand box banter. I laughed at the things they would say to one another but also something said would make my stomach knot, plus I wanted to bang their heads together on many occasions but that totally made the book. Great read.

As soon as I finished the first book in this series, I immediately purchased the second book. I loved Jon and Kate in the first book and couldn't wait to read their story. This could be read as a standalone but reading the first book definitely sets the stage for their story. Kate ends up having to temporarily move in with Jon at the beginning of the story. They have always been friends but bickered back and forth because they both have an attraction to the other they are hiding. They also both have demons they have to work through and watching them do that is captivating. There is a good blend of humor and angst in the book and you are so rooting for them to get their HEA. New characters are also introduced and I can't wait to read the next book! Kacey does a great job of spotlighting the main characters while still introducing secondary characters that are so intriguing you get wrapped up in their stories too. Great second entry into the series!!

We met Kate and Jonathan in Uncovering Love as they are Evie's best friends since High School. They all used to be close, but during his stint in the Army, he just stayed in touch with Evie but drifted away from Kate. But now they are back in close proximity due to him being Evie's new room mate and partner in a PI firm.

Jon and Kate are kind of a mess. They are antagonistic, have less than friendly banter, and sexual tension. One night they give into their attraction only to avoid each other. But due to unforseen circumstances she finds herself in need of place to stay. As room mates they find it much harder to avoid their needs and at the same time find more ways to both entice and inadvertently torture the other one.

Jon is a nice guy and wants to be in a relationship. He is handsome, charismatic, and protective. Due to his background he likes control and to be needed. He has had a history with both of the girls and at times wanted each of them, but never really got his chance. He is not the most eloquent speaker and often puts his foot in his mouth.

Kate is sassy, outrageous, tenacious, and his a reputation of being promiscuous. But she puts on a facade for others and guards her heart and secrets fiercely. She needs control to be able to deal with stress or pain. She works in a studio with access to models and rock stars and gains plenty of male attention.

They dance around their attraction, have a fear of intimacy and opening up. They have serious sparring skills, sexual chemistry, and fight or flight tendencies. Their biggest problem is communication. Jon is very talented at saying just the wrong thing at the wrong time. And Kate has hidden vulnerabilities that he seems to be able to hit her with when she least expects it. She keeps her past pain hidden from most, but it affects her choices and life often. And Jon has his own demons he is fighting. They both are afraid to trust, open up, and admit that they want more, and both feel unworthy. Sometimes their needs seem to be the same and other times directly conflict. He likes to feel needed, but she does not want to have to rely on anyone. He's emotional, and she has her heart locked down. He likes control, and she also needs control so that puts them into a battle to win control at times. Throw in the mix some jealousy, angers, fear, and misunderstandings and it just gets more complicated.

We get more with Evie, Tate, Carly, and Melissa from the first book. And we get to meet a new band Three Ugly Guys: Trent, Derek, Sean and Austin, Jon's adorable friend Alex, and also more with Kate's studio co workers Jason, Teagan, and Marc. Her job allowed a bit of rock and roll and the art world to come into play. While Jon and Evie's brings in PI and police work, and military issues. I like the whole dynamics with the groups of friends and how they added more humor and sometimes complications to the story.

This was sweet, funny, heartfelt, but a bit frustrating due to their frequent push and pull. I liked the characters, but sometimes wanted to lock them in a room together and demand they talk. It was told in both Kate and Jonathan's points of views. It was a easy flowing read full of sexual tension but does not rely on long sex scenes to get it across. Kate's past was the big mystery in this one and it was slowly unraveled. I did not feel like this one had as much drama as the first book. There were some emotional situations mixed in with the humor and romance. But none of it was very in depth or too heavy. I am intrigued by Tate's sister Carly's book in Uncovering Hope.

3.5-4 stars

Jonathan is plenty busy now that the PI business he and Evie launched has picked up and the police department has noticed his skills in the form of additional contracts. His free time is limited, but after 8 years of civilian life things are looking more positive than they have since his return from active duty.

Kate is forever positive, outgoing and energetic, and suddenly needs a place to stay while her apartment is unlivable. Her best friend Evie offers to move in temporarily with her boyfriend so Kate can stay in her room. The only problem Kate can see is Evie’s roommate Jonathan. Evie doesn’t know Kate and Jon slept together one night and now things are tense between the two former friends.

These two seem like they would be opposites. Though they grew up together, Evie was really the glue that kept Kate and Jon around each other. But there is a heat between them that they allow to spark one night. Jon would love nothing more than for that one night to turn into a relationship, but Kate keeps herself unattached and guarded, putting up a promiscuous front to keep everyone at arm's length.

A lot of drama could have been solved by sitting down and having a conversation. Or at least finishing thoughts that were started but never completed. This aspect of the story rather frustrated me. I think I’m at a point where I like my drama to come from outside the relationship rather than from the characters themselves, which plays into this frustration.

There were times when I couldn’t really figure out why Jon and Kate weren’t working out as a couple, except for the fact that they never talked. How they could live together and share so few conversations baffled me. During those times I found my interest in the story wavering, but somewhere around halfway through the book, things started happening that pulled me back into the story and the characters. When pieces of Kate’s past start affecting the present, the outside source of drama definitely perked my interest back up.

Overall, this was sweet and funny. While parts may have not been my favorite, there was enough that I was entertained with this quick read. The additional scenes from Evie, Tate, and Carly have me interested in Carly’s story, especially with the excerpt from Uncovering Hope at the back.

Jon Beltran is slowly adjusting to civilian life after having served eight years in the Army. On a drunken whim, Jon started a PI firm with his best friend and things are going well. One of Jon's complaints is his love life. Evie, his best friend and business partner is now in an exclusive relationship and she long ago put Jon in the friend zone. Then there is Kate Bryant. Kate lives life to the fullest and she loves getting Jon riled up with her sharp tongue . When asbestos is found in her apartment,  Kate and Jon become temporary roommates. Will this unlikely pair find love?

I loved everything about this book! Shea writes a great romance. Her plots are well developed with characters so real you feel like you should be able to call them up and have dinner with them. Shea's love scenes have just the right amount of heat in them as well.

Kate was a total surprise to me. In the first book she came off as a loveable flake with a very active sex life. Looks can definitely be deceiving. Kate really opened up in this book and a lot of her was nothing but a facade to cover up her heartbreak.

Seeing Jon with Kate was a hoot. She forced him out of his comfort zone a few times. I don't think things would have turned out okay for Jon if Kate hadn't been there for him when he needed it the most.

Uncovering Desire is the second book in the Uncovering Love series  (but it can be read as a standalone ). Shea writes a solid contemporary romance with amazing characters that will leave readers wanting more. I can't wait to read the third book coming out next year.

So Uncovering Desire is finally here and the wait was SO worth it! Uncovering Desire shows off Shea’s growth and talent as an author, resurrecting Jon from Uncovering Love and giving Kate, the Queen of Sass a stage to shine.

As readers continue to be captivated by Jon, his beautiful heart will have readers invested in his happiness. Following his hearts needs and wants, Jon shares in his desire to have Kate; his annoying but gorgeous best friend. But what does Kate want? With her own secrets and an extensive list of insecurities, Kate is determined to deter people from knowing the real her.

Uncovering Desire has a perfect blend of wit, humour, chemistry and passion. With boisterous and significant secondary characters, Shea shows off varying storylines and hints at future relationships.

With significant bouts of drama Jon and Kate face endless amounts of setbacks. Wondering if anything more then friendship can eventuate between the two, readers will be calling upon large supplies of patience – waiting for a well deserved happy ever after.

I need a Jon in my life! I loved him in book 1 but in this one we got to see a softer side of him with Kate. Even when he had a serious case of foot-in-mouth with trying to speak to Kate!

Kate is normally the kind of character I dislike. the ones that deny their feelings and push the loved ones away. but there was something I really connect to with her. she's funny and feisty.

this book pulled a lot of emotions from me. and I won't spoil it for anyone but this book is so worth the read.

I'm really excited to get more from Kacey and these characters.

In Kacey Shea's second book, we get to know Jon, Kate and Evie even more. They're interesting characters with a lot more depth than you might expect from a "romance" genre. There is pathos here and plenty of story. Oh, yeah, the sex scenes are great, too. Highly recommend and eager to read book 3!

We met Jon and Kate in book 1 of this series. Jon came back from the army and crashes at his friend Evie's place and they end up starting a PI business together. Evie is best friends with Kate, and although they're kind of opposites, they're cute together. Anyway, Evie finds her match in book 1 (no spoilers here- go read it to see who she ends up with and how).

Evie, Kate, and Jon hang out fairly often (they grew up together- two are bffs and two work together- makes sense). Kate says outrageous things around Jon, goading him, and Jon reacts. There's obvious chemistry between these two that ends up really sparking when Kate ends up needing a place to stay for a few weeks. Jon ends up putting his foot in his mouth more times than I can count, and Kate flip flops between hot and cold with her feelings towards and treatment of Jon. At the end of the day, both have issues to address before they can ever have a good start together.

While this book can certainly stand alone, I think that knowing more about Jon from book 1 (and his friendship with Evie) is beneficial. 3.5-4 stars for a match between a hot-tempered, protective veteran and a provocative, emotionally closed-off artist.

Uncovering Desire by Kacey Sheais book 2 in the Uncovering Love series.

We meet Kate and Jon in the first book of the series and now they have their time in the spotlight with this book. I really enjoyed getting to know Jon and Kate better.

This book brought out all my emotions. I managed to laugh out loud, cry my eyes out and I was wrapt from beginning to end. It was raw and emotional but fun and snarky and sweet and sexy.

Kaceys writing is engaging and easy to read. I look forward to reading more of this series and meeting with some of the other characters.

As the wife of a US Marine, I love to read stories where one or more of the characters is or was in the military. Of course, when I met Jonathan Beltran AKA Army, I was thrilled.

This is the first book I have read by Kacey Shea but it will definitely not be my last. I truly enjoyed her realistic characters, plot and story. Uncovering Desire is the second book in this series but one that I think can be read as a standalone. I was able to follow the story along just fine.

Uncovering Desire is a love story. The characters are fun, feisty, real and sexy. Jon and Kate, the main characters have this love/hate friendship relationship going on. They have known each other for many years and it is clear that although they argue and bicker, there is much more going on between them.

Jon served in the US Army and now works as a PI with his friend Evie. Jon is sexy hot and I’ve added him to my list of book boyfriends. His friendship with Evie is honest, relatable and enjoyable to read about.

Kate is their mutual friend. She’s a sexy and vivacious woman. Jon can’t keep his eyes off of her. An asbestos incident in her building leads to a temporary housing change for Kate. This dilemma finds her with a temporary roommate, Jon. This arrangement turns out to be intense and “desirable. “

Both of the main characters in this story have their own back stories or traumas they are still coping with. They both need to heal. Learning about their past brings them closer together. Passionate moments as well as some deep emotional moments make this story one that kept me hooked.

While some of the story was predictable, I enjoyed it immensely and recommend it.

This gem has love, passion, friendship, healing and a conclusion that left longing for the next book in the series.

As I mentioned, I started reading this series with book 2 but will go back and read book 1 for sure.

I enjoyed this realistic cast of characters and their passionate story.

I gave this book 5 stars!

WOW, this book was amazing! I loved reading about Jon and Kate so much! Kate has been kicked out of her apartment for a couple of weeks and has nowhere to stay; Evelyn decides she will stay with her boyfriend Tate and Kate can stay in her room until she can move into her apartment again. This doesn’t sit well with Evelyn’s roommate Jon, he loves Kate but they don’t really get along too well and can’t be in the same room for more than five minutes without bickering.

I really enjoyed this book, the bickering between Jon and Kate had me laughing out loud and there is so much tension between those two. I loved how Kacey still involved the characters we met in the first book; I loved seeing what they were all up to especially Evelyn and Tate, those two have a special place in my heart. I also really enjoyed the way we were introduced to some of Jon's and Kate other friends, there is just this way that Kacey writes her characters that you can’t help but fall in-love with them. I loved to see the character development Jon and Kate go through, Kate is such a strong women and it was nice to see her bring her walls down and open up to Jon; those two complement each other so well. It was also really nice to see how much Jon cared for her, he comes across as a little overprotective but he means well. As much as this book had me laughing with all the craziness that is Kate towards the end I was an emotional wreck. I loved that Kate and Jon got their own story, I loved reading more about them and seeing how their relationship developed. I can’t wait to read the third book! This book can be read as a stand alone, but I recommend you read the first one too because Tate and Evelyn's story is equally as amazing.

This is he second book in Kacey Shea Author Uncovering Loving Series. After reading the first book in the series, I could not wait to pick up this second one in the series. I loved how all the character from the first book are still present and we get to find out how Evie and Tate are evolving as well as watching Jon and Kate develop. In the first book I was so heartbroken and hoping for good things for Jon, and this book delivered that to him! He is a much deserving veteran who only wants to find happiness through the heartache. I love reading Kate and Jon’s banter back and forth. They have a push a pull type relationship. Things get sticky when they are forced to be roomies for a while and their boundaries are tested. Many times I wanted to yell to just make them stop being so stubborn and talk everything out and lay it all out there. They go back and forth more times than I would have liked but I still loved it. I couldn’t wait to see if they got the happy ending with each other that they both deserve. I would have liked to see more of the investigating parts like they had in the first book. The suspense of that is one of my favorite parts of this series. Sadly I was let down that we didn’t get to find out more about the detail he was doing for Kate’s mom/the police department. Everything was just getting good, and then it ended. There was no closure as to what was going on at the club he was looking into for the police department, or how Kate’s dad was tied to it. I thought for sure the guy following Kate was going to be related to it, but that also fell short. Other than that I loved this story! I just would have liked more details and how everything tied together. Cannot wait to start reading the next one in the series!!! Let the reading begin!

I was so impatient and anticipating the release of this book after meeting Jon and Kate in Uncovering Love. From the moment they were introduced they had this spark that I just knew that their book was going to be epic. After receiving and devouring Uncovering Desire, I can say that they are incredible together. Jon and Kate are explosive, sweet, sensual, and an all around entertaining read. They do everything from breaking and entering, crashing cars, rooming together, and everything in between.

Jon recently moved home after the military and started a private investigation business with his best friend Evelyn. The only problem he has is dealing with the alluring, seductive, Kate who grew up with both of them and is still close friends with Ev. She makes both his temper and body boil which drives him crazy! Kate is sassy, gorgeous, knows how to turn on a guy and make him mad at the same time. Being able to avoid Kate is going to be impossible when a situation arises and they are thrown together as temporary roommates.

I highly recommend for the heat, heart, as well as the fun. Kate and Jon are sure to spice up your evening and leave you heated and in need of a tall glass of water. This by far is my favorite in the series and can be read as a standalone but I would still recommend reading the first book to experience more of these characters. Kacey Shae does a fabulous job of entertaining the reader with funny and steamy scenes along with bringing a new reader up to speed.

Uncovering Desire by Kacey Shea

Uncovering Desire is book two in a three book series, but can be read as a stand-alone book. Kate and Jon are the two main characters and the story centers on them. Evie is bests friends with both of them. She also shares an investigative agency with Jon. The friendships in the book were done well.

Jon is ex-military and a tough guy. He tries not to show his softer side. The book starts with him a little jealous about his friend Evie’s romance with someone else. He quickly shifts his attentions to their other best friend Kate, who he had known in high school but had lost touch with when he was in the military.

Kate is a party girl who tries to act a lot tougher than she is. Throughout the book, she tries to make people think she is slutty by her actions and the way she speaks and dresses, but then gets upset when Jon calls her out on being that way. They both have major issues and don’t deal with them very well. They are mean to each other but then they are sweet to each other at times. The romance between them seemed a little forced at times and more like lust than love.

I liked the fact that the character was ex-military and had to deal with issues related to his service. I especially liked that one of the character’s had extensive war injuries that did not deter her from having a great life. The writing is a little choppy and some of the character’s actions are a little over the top.

Broken but.....

Life is good

Great job

Great friends

Doing well for yourself

Your coping.

Kate works for a photography studio she loves her job she is doing well for herself and has come along way. She has her coping mechanism.... yoga when things are getting her down or she is stressed she runs for her yoga mat it keeps her centered it calms her it keeps her focused especially when things aren't going to plan. Kate likes control she needs it she craves it.

Jon is back from the army and is living with his best friend Evie. He has issues from being in the army, his dealing with them himself.

He likes her.

He wants her.

She infuriates him.

Shes sassy.

He needs her.

Kate and Jon go around in circles they want each other but there scared of the commitment. Kate doesn't think she is good enough for him but he needs her but doesn't think she wants him.
Will Jon and Kate ever get themselves together enough to be together?

We liked Jon and Kate's story it held our attention most of the time. Some parts we just thought for gods sake just get together but other parts were a bit sad.

We liked there story but we were just waiting for something to give us that wow factor or that twist or turn it was pretty predictable but was just lacking the stand out.

Well written by Kacey will be interesting to see where her writing leads to.

This story can be read as a standalone, but I suggest you read the first book in the series called ‘Uncovering Love’ <3

With Uncovering Desire, the series continues with Kate & Jon, which are both Evie’s (book 1) best friends.

Kate: out going, tenacious and is known for having a bit of a reputation with the fellas. But that’s just Kate, and it’s what I love about her. She doesn’t apologize for who she is… My #1 girl.

Jon: God, where to start with him. I need to be honest… He wasn’t my favorite. Since book one, there was something about him that I didn’t like. I honestly think it was the way he would insult Kate and say the wrong things at the wrong times. And I wasn’t having it. Like I said, Kate’s my #1 girl. But I need to be fair, he knew what he wanted when it came to being romantic with someone. When he settled down with someone, he wanted to make sure it was with the one. And I can’t blame him for that. So he got a couple points there from me

But God, these two. The push and pull and sexual tension. Drove me crazy!!! I just wanted to lock them up in a room… NAKED! So they would be able to work through their demons and find a way to make it work between the two, because it was obvious they were meant to be.

Kacey, really had me pulling my hair out with this book. I’m looking forward to reading book 3 in this series.

This was a fantastic book. I didn't realize it was the second in a series, but the great thing was that even without reading the first book I didn't find this one lacking. I will however go back and read the first book because I'm interested in Evie's story.

This story is about Jon and Kate, friends since high school who bicker and argue like crazy!!! However underneath they are both harboring feelings for each other. They hook up on what they both believe is a one night stand, but neither can get the other out of their heads, even though they would never admit it. Well then Kate hits a string of bad luck and ends up as Jon's room mate for a couple weeks. Throw in a sexy rock god, Kate's smart mouth , a small accident, secret and not so secret pasts and it makes for a great book!

This is the first book I've read by this author and I'll definitely be keeping my eye out for more. I love friend to lover romances, even though sometimes I just want to scream at the characters to just talk things out (but I guess that would make for a short, crappy storyline) This book had just the right about of steam, drama, comedy and suspense to keep you interested and reading to find out what was gonna happen next!! Highly recommend !

I received a copy for a honest review

This is the second book in the series and I have to say not reading book one I wasn't lost.
Jon and Kate are two people that have known each other since they were kids. Jon is ex military and has started a PI Firm with his best friend, Kate works for a video studio and loves to take photos on the side.
These two DO NOT get along, but you know the old say "Thou doth protest too much", Kate has secretly like Jon since they were kids but didn't feel like she was good enough.
Jon just wants someone to call his own, no way did he think it would ever be Kate.
Kate is out there and doesn't care what people think, at least that's what she shows the world.
These two have issues, both need help and if they get it and learn to trust each other they can be good together.
I like these two, I like them together and separate. I wish there had been more though, and maybe if I had read the first book I wouldn't feel that way, but I don't think so side it wasn't about Jon or Kate. Both are good strong characters and like in real life they stick their foot in their mouth, but once they figure things out they work.
I will be going back and getting the first book and I will be getting the next one when it comes out.

** ARC provided in exchange of an honest review **

This series just get better and better with each book that gets released.

I again found myself hooked on this book as soon as I started, and if it wasn’t for life and mummy duties getting in the way I would’ve finished reading this in one sitting.

We first meet Jon and Kate in Uncovering Love and straight away you are intrigued what journey they would take us on from all the bickering they did when getting together.

I wanted to knock their heads together constantly through this book because seriously, they needed it. Especially Kate. The constant hot and cold vibes she gave Jon was giving me whiplash. I liked Jon, although touch on the outside he was a huge softie on the inside. He didn’t hide the fact he wanted Kate and although he did lash out now and again which resulted in him saying the wrong things I couldn’t blame him.

With a brilliant storyline, loveable characters, witty banter and off the charts chemistry this is one book that you will want on your book shelf.

Kacey has delivered yet again. This can be read as a standalone, however I would recommend reading Uncovering Love first to get a feel for these characters and the sheer dynamics of the series as a whole.

I just finished Un covering love and was looking forward to reading Jon and Kates story.
These two have so much pent up frustration and anger, but when they gave off its explosive.
After serving his county, Jon had returns to civilian life. Starting a PI business with his friend Evie, keeping him busy and mind occupied.
When Kate is unexpectedly homeless, a vacant room allows these two to become roommates for a few weeks and the sparks are explosive.
With harbouring feelings since high school and secrets she hasn't shared, can Kate overcome her fear and let Jon in?

When these two were together it was amazing, when they weren't fighting it was entertaining, but Kates hot/cold and secrets became a bit much and I think would have been good revealed about earlier so we knew why she is the way she is.

Though Carlys story I am so excited to read, she seems so sweet and those two adorable boys.... aaaaahhhhhhh
