“Fast Five” had a phenomenal opening weekend pulling in over $83 million. Last week, we brought you an exclusive interview with one of the stars of “Fast Five,” Tyrese Gibson and now we’re giving you even more from the hardworking star!

EXCLUSIVE: Tyrese Goes “Fast Five” On The Illuminati And Cults

Tyrese recently finished his album, filmed 2 movies and wrote a book at the same time. We asked him out of all of his talents and all that he’s got going on, which one gives him the most joy. Check out his answer is below in its entirety:

“Nothing has moved me in 10 years the way releasing this book has moved me. I have a problem of what people don’t know. There’s a lot of people out here that are clinger oners, groupies, coat tail riders, droppers, desperate for credibility and then you have the other side of the spectrum of people who are like, ‘Look, I don’t have it right now but I have some dreams and ideas and I just need some information on how to get it done. So I’m gonna go to college.’

Employees hanging out with employees is just going to further your career as an employee. You start hanging out with bosses, you’ll eventually become one. So when I first came into this game I was in the mindset of an employee. I was just so happy to be making money finally.

Spending over $50 a month, I didn’t even know what that looked like. I used to steal clothes off the clothing line just to have new clothes to go to school with. I stole this one shirt and this dude had his name in the back, it was air brushed and he ran into me. ‘That’s my shirt!’ ‘What you talking about, this ain’t your shirt.’ ‘Dog, my name is on the back!’ (laughs) So it’s one of those things.”

“I was born and raised in Watts, Martin Luther King Hospital in ’78, look at me now. Nobody gave me shit though. I grinded it out. I deal with politics, racism, I deal with people who just decide that who you are, where you’re from, what your energy is like, I’m not going to give it to you.

Just because you have your resume, I’m supposed to give it to you. You still gotta work for it. And to be honest, it’s one thing to make money and get nice things, it’s even harder to keep it. It’s one thing to receive the blessing, it’s another maintain it. You can do a photo shoot with your nice body, but are you going to stay in shape getting ready for your other photo shoots?

But all in all, there’s nothing I’ve done that others can’t do. They just got to want to meet a better version of themselves, step up to the plate and get it done. This is not just another celebrity writing a book. I don’t even consider myself an author. I didn’t write a book, I wrote life. Detail about my childhood, drugs and alcohol abuse, rapes, attacks and murders and everything else I experienced growing up. I decided I didn’t want to be any of those things around me. I decided I want to be my own man, I wasn’t born a Siamese twin, so my brain and my thoughts aren’t connected to yours. My chest cavity don’t share the same heartbeat. I’m my own. So how we gonna get it? There’s gotta be something better than this.

So by the grace of God I’m still here, opportunities are still coming, phones still ringing, and I’m just trying to show up and be the best version of me that I can.”
