Sometimes the one you never got over is just a friend request away ...

There were no cell phones or internet or google when she left me and I never knew why she walked away from our relationship. I loved her, like head-over-heels crazy loved her. And when she walked out on me at the end of our freshman year, without even a goodbye, she broke my heart.

So, I got a surprise gift the other night at my birthday party, an old college friend casually mentioned he saw her on Facebook. Best present I've received in over twenty years. Now, I'm finally going to get my answer. She owes me an explanation at to why she left ... Damn, I loved her.
________

I was having such a crappy morning at work and then his email arrived. It was a friend request and to say I was shocked would be an understatement. A lifetime has passed since we were last in contact. But just seeing his name on my computer screen, made me react in a way I thought I was no longer capable of, you see, I have never gotten over loving him, even though he betrayed me.

And so begins the saga of Schooner Moore and Mia Silver, lovers separated after their first year of college and not reunited again for over twenty years. But two decades was not long enough for their flame to be extinguished and reuniting could cost them everything.

I had "Searching for Moore" in my online library for a couple of months and for some reason never got around to reading it. Boy did I kick myself once I finally started it. I immediately fell in love with Mia and Schooner. I finished book one in like two nights. I immediately purchased the box set that night just so I could read more that instant.

I laughed and cried so many times through this series. I absolutely love the banter between Mia and Schooner. The characters are well developed and I felt drawn into their lives.

I hate to give away plots and story lines, so trust me when I say this book was absolutely wonderful. It was well-written and every page was begging to be turned. I couldn't get enough. Well done, Ms. Julie Richman!

OMG - This was one of the best stories I have ever read. I totally fell in love with the characters and the storyline was incredible. It is one of those series that captivates you from the first page and keeps you enthralled until the very end. Unfortunately when a series is that phenomenal, you don't want it to end. Way to go Julie! I can't wait to read more from you.

Needing More series was the three part series by Julie Richman. It was written as three books. However, I bought the set and read it as one; therefore, I've reviewed it as one.

Book One: Searching for Moore
Part One: Schooner Moore's version of his freshman year at college when he fell in love with Mia Silver and then she just left without a trace. I knew I would hate it - not because it wasn't well written - but because it was all about heart ache. I hurt when he hurt and at the end, even though I didn't know the rest of the story, I knew CJ had destroyed his happiness. I hated her from the moment he laid eyes on her and it only got worse as the story developed. Part one started off in the present, then took us back to fill in the details. It ended with Schooner sending a Facebook invite to Mia.

Part Two: Mia's version but it stayed in the present. She accepted Schooner's friend request and the long journey of discovery after two decades began. They were together but CJ didn't make it easy and they had some challenges to overcome. Book one ended with a semi-tragedy and left the readers wondering if they could actually make it work.

Book Two: Moore to Lose
More to Lose had three parts with Part One as the most significant. It was Mia's version. It started in the present, then moved to the past. This time, however, it started with the semester after she left Schooner. Richman began catching us up on the years in between. To say it was an emotional ride was an understatement.

Parts two and three were short versions and appeared to be more of a bridge to Book three, Moore Than Forever. Richman left us with a cliff hanger and wondering how Mia and Schooner could possibly make life work in the long term.

Book Three: Moore Than Forever
More Than Forever started where the last book left off and remained in the present until the conclusion. It was a really long story but I enjoyed it and felt it was the perfect conclusion to the series. Rather than end the series with them getting together and showing a quick HEA; Richman took us through several years in detail, which included adjustments, healing, growth, expansion and fulfilling their realized purpose. Although there were challenges, it was a sweet story, my emotions were still overworked, but it was a pleasant experience taking the journey to the end in unexpected ways.

Overall Summary
I thoroughly enjoyed this series. It was well written, well developed, had very few editing errors, and had a fabulous supporting cast of characters. Zac's story in Bad Son Rising is next for me and I can't wait!

I have read these books 4 times and I know I will read them again! This is the best series out there! I cannot say enough great things about it. I loved that the main characters were in their 40's. Yes, we go back to their college days, but the main part of their love story happens when they are older. That was very refreshing. I also loved that he (Schooner) was never hesitant when he finally found her (Mia) again. You could tell he was all-in. It is so beautifully written. I promise, you will fall in love with their love, you will hope, you will laugh, you will be heartbroken, you will get pissed, and you will cry (I mean ugly cry). You cannot read these books and not be effected by them.

SHOWTIME!!

I love it when a great friend recommends a new author to me. When that new author knocks my socks off with an incredible trilogy of love lost and found again?! I am going to tell every friend I have that they MUST read the books. I am in that zone now and if they only read one series the entire year it has got to be this one. The emotion that fills these 250,000+ words will wrap around your heart and stay with you long after you read the last words. Thank you Julie Richman for giving us Pretty Boy and Baby Girl. They will be inside my soul forever more. You are amazing and IT'S SMOOCHAL.

This is the best book series that I've read! If you want to read about a love that lasts decades, this is your book. If you want a book about a broken heart, this is your book. If you want a book on second chances, this is your book. If you want a book about mature people still making stupid mistakes & still wanting to make things work, this is your book! Julie Richman has encompassed that & "Moore" in this series. There are so many characters that you will fall in love with & never want to leave. In fact, there are 2 spin offs for this series that you will want to read after. Beautiful characters, beautifully written. Thank you for this love story that I can not stop thinking of, EVER!

Each book showed how true love never dies.

Schooner & Mia where miserable apart and a brilliantly hot team together. The story teaches you sometimes you never get over your first love, no matter how hard you try. However, Sometimes you get back what you thought you might have lost forever.

This box set has a bit of everything and Moore!

This series will forever hold my hearts number one book spot. I can't even begin to explain all of the reason why. It takes your heart on a roller coaster ride and you never ever want to get off! Just read it and you'll understand why as soon as you start. Love. Love. Love! Did I mention that already???

In the unforgettable category.

Some books and series will be remembered forever. This series belongs there.
Excellent writing, original story line and full rich characters. I loved Schooner Moore and Mis Silver. I was in the story with them and all their friends and family.
My heart was filled with love and my eyes with tears. This series touched my heart on so many levels and I felt happy in my life while reading. Some stories just don't give those good feelings.
Another book will be out soon that picks up with one of the most intriguing characters from this story. I so can't wait.
I'm now on the hunt for any more books by Julie.
Thank you for the top reads ever, and I read hundreds of books.

Emotional rollercoaster!!!!

I laughed, I cried, I got angry and sad. This was by far one of the best series I have read. Schooner and Mia's story is romantic, heart wrenching, and they way a love story should be written. I was sad to see it end but am looking forward to spin of books possibly :) Zac and Hollys stories especially!!!

A couple's journey of love over 25 years from first love to despair to finlly finding love again is contained in thus trilogy. Mia and Schooner meet the first day of freshman orientation at a California college and find love but ars torn asunder by two manipulative friends. Searching For Moore is written from Schooner's POV. Moore To Lose is written from Mia's viewpoint and dtails her 24 years away from Schooner including one disastrous relationship and one tragically heartbreaking one. Moore Than Ever has Schooner and Mia reunited working through the ghosts of the past, starting a family, changing directions in their careers and finally marrying.

I truly enjoyed this series. Mua and Schooner are such dynamic, strong and resilient characters. Their story is by turns both heartbreaking and heartwarming. I admit to shedding tears several times while reading some powerful scenes penned by Julie A. Richman.

Reviews for each individual story:

Searching for Moore -Fall in love with Schooner...that is what I did. He is the most romantic book boyfriend and yet the most exasperating. How could he NOT see what CJ was plotting? All those years wasted with this Barbie Doll wanna-be. You must read this book. I do not want to give anything away, but this is a story that will grab you and will not let you go. Be forewarned... massive, and I mean massive, cliffhanger at the end of this book. Do not despair... book 2 is out now and you will be able to continue reading and not have a heart attack. By the way, this is not your ordinary romance trilogy. This is fine literature at its best!

Moore to Lose - Schooner!!!!!!!!!!!!! You make me so aggravated with you... but I will still love you if you do the right thing!! I feel like I am in labor and the pains are going to last for the next 3 months at least... Must have the last book soon! Loved this book. We get to find out what went on with Mia during those 24 years without Schooner. Julie Richman, you had me in tears during that fated phone call that lasted just long enough for a sad goodbye! No spoilers here! You must read this book. I you loved Searching for Moore, you will just be blown away with Moore to Lose. This is not just another romance trilogy... this is literature at its best!!

Moore Than Forever -When we last closed the chapter on Mia, she was on her way to the hospital, alone in a cab and in labor. I felt so conflicted with Schooner not being there for her, I was crying. These are fictional characters, I kept saying to myself. The problem is that Julie Richman has the gift of writing such real characters, you cannot possibly separate fiction from reality. You become immersed in the story to that extent and a full range of emotions are engaged. Now the final installment of Mia and Schooner has been be told. If you have been following this series, you will not be disappointed. Like any new couple, Mia and Schooner need to find their balance. With a baby in the mix, this is not so easy to do when the obstacles that separated them before still exist. Schooner needs to settle his personal demons so he can freely love Mia the way she deserves. I have enjoyed this journey. I love the writing, the plotline and the characters who are so real to me. To Julie Richman I say Bravo! You hit this one out of the ballpark, lady! For me, it felt like coming home to a warm fire and the security that is implied in the word HOME. Thank you for sharing this journey with us. It was well worth all the emotions and waiting for the final outcome.

4.5 Fabulous Stars!
Review by Lisa Kane
I loved this series! Schooner Moore and Mia Silver are such vibrant, colorful characters. I am a sucker for second chance at love books-and this is a whopper of one! Back in college (and Mia was 16 when she was a freshman in college) Schooner was the golden boy, the hot tennis player with a Barbie like girlfriend, CJ. But when he is thrown together with Mia, he finds he can be himself, and not live up to the hype of his personna.

But after he tries to break up with CJ, he does something so stupid, that he can't face Mia again. Leaving her broken hearted, he knows he has made a huge mistake. When fate puts a devastated Mia back in his life, he is the one to comfort her, to help her pick up the pieces. Women like CJ know how to manipulate a situation and she succeeds in breaking them up for good. Mia flees, leaves Schooner in the dust and they don't see each other for 24 years.

No internet, no cell phones, no social media to try to locate someone back in the time this story takes place. But on his 43rd birthday, now unhappily married to CJ, with 2 children, he finds out how to track Mia down on Facebook. And that folks, is how they reconnect!

I adored this series, the angst, the unresolving determination to be together, to get it right this time. Schooner is one hell of an alpha, and Mia is his equal in every way. They have hurt themselves over and over throughout the years in an effort to try to forget each other. But that is the one thing they can not do.

This is one series that does not disappoint!!

OMG this series has stuck with me and took me awhile to write the review I felt very emotional about the series of three books.
Schooner Moore is a California Boy who is so good at masking who he is to everyone the only person that has ever saw the true him is Mia Silver who he met freshman year of college when she was 16 and he was 19. She disappeared the last day of school and broke his heart. 24 years later thanks to Facebook Schooner finds Mia. He married the California Barbie CJ but never loved her. He does have 2 children who he truly loves Hollly and Zac. I love when Schooner and Mia reunite but by the end of "Searching for Moore" its hard to tell if they will have their Happy Ending.
Moore to Lose- Schooner and Mia continue to fight their former lives and find their way back to each other as their journey continues.
More Than Forever- With a new baby Mia and Schooner must fight for their Happy Ending. Truly a beautiful story spanning 24 years. I loved the 80's references when they met as well as the progression thru social media. Excellent Series Wonderful Characters. Had to get Bad Son Rising- Zac's story.

This series is truly amazing, one of the best I have ever read. Julie Richman is a very talented writer; I love all the detail that goes into all her stories. All 3 books in this series are amazing in their own way. Searching for Moore is where it all began and it's Schooner's story. Moore to Lose is Mia's story; her internal struggle between holding on and moving on. Moore than Forever is the story of Schooner and Mia growing together.

This series is an emotional roller coaster! I laughed and cried....and fell in love with all the characters. A very unique group of characters who are all so well developed throughout the 3 books. A very powerful and emotional series from beginning to end.

I've read each of the books in this series several times and each time I fall just a little more in love with the characters! It's a story that will forever stick with me and I'd highly recommend it to anyone!

Great series!! Loved all three books!! I Loved all the characters in this book. Mia was a strong heroine. Schooner an amazing book boyfriend! The supporting characters of Yoli, Seth, Charles, Holly etc. were terrific also.
Schooner and Mia fell in love in freshman year of college. Schooner had a girlfriend but he was not in love with her. Mia was his soul mate. After a mis-communication and interference from CJ (the girlfriend) Mia left without a word. This was before cell phones and internet. Schooner had no way to find her.
Twenty four year later, with the help of internet and social media, Schooner is reconnected with Mia. In the last twenty four years a lot has happened in their lives. Can they just pick up where they left off. Schooner married CJ and had two kids with her..will she give him up without a fight.
A must read!!! Hoping for more books with the other characters!!

I absolutely LOVED this trilogy!!!! I went through so many emotions while reading; fear of what was going to happen, anger at how some things played out, sorrow for the losses (innocence, time, people), pure happiness for Mia and Schooner in the end. The characters were like real people. I felt like I was right there with them throughout the years. I laughed and cried throughout and I couldn't put the book down. The passion and connection that Schooner and Mia had was amazing. The fact that they thought about each other at the same times and as often as they did was both heartbreaking and inspirational. Schooner was right when he said that Mia had his heart and soul. They are a part of each other and it seemed so real.

I must say that this series is one I will read repeatedly! I read the entire series in one weekend and it left me wanting even more! I LOVE second chance romance stories, but this is the best of the best. I have yet to find another second chance romance book that comes close to the emotional rollercoaster this book takes you on. The author did an amazing job telling the story of Schooner and Mia...how they met, where life took each of them and where they will go together. I absolutely fell in love with Mia and Schooner and as well as the secondary characters in the story. This book will make you run the gamet of emotions...and it is worth every second!

I received this suggested read on my facebook. I bought it blind and thought it would be a good change of the mill for me. Boy was I wrong. This book invoked so many emotions for me. The more I read, the more I loved. Schooner was swoon worthy and Mia was the perfect mix of brainy, tough and somewhat damaged. The back ground characters that were in their immediate circle were all great. They each have their besties that are their rocks. I love the depth with wich Julie gives each story and how they became so important to each other. I want more.

Loved this series !!!!

This book made me Laugh, cry, and love. the things this couple went through tore me up. So many people played such important roles in their lives, I adored so many Charactors in this book, Love and friendship all around, then the not so nice people plotting to keep these two apart only to find their way back, their journey was so great to read and there were also parts that were hard to read because of certain events that took place.
I adored this couple and loved these books.

Wow, this is one is another for my favorites. Bottom line, READ THIS SERIES!

I love every single character, babies too! I want to know what happens with all of them. The chemistry is amazing. You will laugh out loud, cry hard, smile and fall in love. New York and every other destination is depicted just as a native would describe, simply amazing. Well written and the attention to detail makes you proud of this author.

Well done.
