Deanna Kahler

Deanna Kahler was born and raised in the Detroit, Mich., area. Her love of writing began as a young child, and she was often found writing poems, short stories and plays. She laughs whenever she remembers an elementary teacher asking if she copied a poem out of a book. It was, of course, her own original work! In high school, she earned a Detroit Free Press Commendation for feature writing. She then attended Oakland University in Rochester, Mich., where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Communication Arts and graduated with departmental honors. Deanna has worked professionally as both a writer and editor. Her work has been published in numerous corporate newsletters and magazines across the country. For Deanna, writing is not only a form of self-expression, but also a way of reaching out to others and making a difference in their lives. Her goal is to inspire, encourage and enlighten readers.
