LAS VEGAS — The Warriors said that an MRI showed that third-year center Damian Jones has a Grade 1 MCL sprain in his right knee, which sidelined him for Monday’s summer-league game against the Dallas Mavericks and possibly beyond.

The Warriors have listed Jones day-to-day and did not rule out his return for the duration of Las Vegas Summer League. But it appears unlikely Jones will return for the playoffs, which begin on Wednesday and extend through July 17.

Jones missed Sunday’s game against Houston so he could return to the Bay Area to receive an MRI. The Warriors said Jones suffered the injury on Friday against the Los Angeles Clippers.
