Description Provide a second level of escalation (L3 support) for Vodafone Group Enterprise applications. Proficient on supporting any application based on Linux, and VMware and virtualization either clustered, and or load balanced. Works on assignments that are extremely complex in nature where a high degree of independent judgment, initiative and technical knowledge are required to resolve problems. Works independently and has ability to handle most unique situations. Own various technical projects in the application management space across multiple services (VTM, VDM, VSDM, etc.). Participates and provides inputs towards implementation of various hardware and software policies and procedures / support and maintenance. Involved in performance analysis, capacity analysis and configuration management for servers.
Qualifications
*Bachelor of Engineering / computer science or related discipline *1-2 years IT Support, system administration, web/software development experience *Technical skills: *Some UNIX/Linux administration *Technical knowledge in IT infrastructure technologies and connectivity techniques *Continuous integration *Workflow best Practice *Experience in LAMP stack would be desirable, particularly in MySQL and PHP *Understanding and experience with Cloud based systems such as PaaS or AWS would be extremely beneficial *Development skills using(shell scripting, PERL,) *Hands on experience for Revision control systems like SVN,GIT *Working knowledge of monitoring and alerting systems (NewRelic, Nagios) *ITIL Foundation certification is desirable.
