Drywall is 1/2 single ply. I really wanted double drywall w/ green glue but it just wasn't in the budget
All walls are filled with standard R-13 kraft faced insulation
Lighting consists of 4 sconces, 12 4" eyeball lights, 3 vented isle lights & rope lighting above the soffit
Soffit dimensions are 12"x6.25" with a 3" gap to the ceiling
The riser dimension is 7.5' x 6' and leaves a 32" isle by the entryway and 26" isles on the back and far side
The first row of seats is 11.5' and the second is around 17'

These transducers, when dialed in properly, provide a nice tactile addition to the subs. The trick is not to overdo it. Get a cheap headphone mixer to dial in each channel separately. Another thing I love about these is they provide that subwoofer feeling after hours when the house is asleep and sound levels need to be lower!
SVS PB2000 is placed diagonally across from another 12" 350w sub to give an even bass response.

The cylinder sub also makes a perfect place to display knick knacks and collectables.

I also made acoustic panels for the inside back of the stage figuring that absorbing some of the rear reflective sound is probably better than not.
Front grills for the stage are magnetically attached with dowels to aid in alignment.

This is a good shot of the plywood stands I built for the Sierra 2s. L & R are toed in and all three have been angled to direct sound toward the primary listening position. Ideally I would want an acoustically transparent screen with the L C R mounted behind it at ear level but that would be quite a bit of work. Maybe one day!

It features a Custom RAAL True Ribbon Tweeter combined with a Proprietary 6" SEAS EXCEL Curv™ Woofer and a Remarkable Low Resonance Layered Bamboo Cabinet. The RAAL tweeter is known for it's amazing detail and when paired with the new EX woofer, this speaker is more musical with rather shocking dynamics. JVC RS540 4K HDR10 Projector. Excellent picture with amazing contrast and black levels.
It runs software called HSTouch from a company called HomeSeer. I love this option because it is extremely flexible and I can design pretty much anything we want. Touch each light in the picture to turn it on/off.
that's amazing will have to look into it thanks so much for the answer i thought i would get an email from blu-ray.com so sorry for the delay in the appreciation i was looking at the mono price thx in wall speakers for my Atmos height channels and had heard that pointing was best but i had hoped that it wasn't a big deal so this info is helpful i will try to install them facing down and if i think it needs it will build a angled box and that should do it i have been looking at your theater for quite a few years and have gotten a lot of inspiration from it so thanks again.
Hey danmanhd, no I don't think pointing them at the MLP would have been any better. Atmos content (even with the matrixed content in those speakers) is not obvious enough to point the speakers. Also, the HTM-200s dispersion is really good in all directions which means the sound comes down in a cone shape.
With that device in the chain, it's fooling the source (in my case an Apple TV and NVidia shield) into thinking the projector can do Dolby Vision. It decodes LLDV, which is a version of DV where the source pushes DV content instead of the projector receiving and decoding it, and sends it along to the projector in HDR mode. It basically converts DV to HDR but still retains the frame by frame analysis. What's more, if you are using the ATV4k, it can even do the same for SDR content! Crazy I know and the picture looks fantastic--much more like HDR than your best SDR picture setting. Hope this helps!
Question 1 do you think it would have sounded better if your Atom speakers were pointed at an angle towards the MLP
Question 2 what does it mean when it says the HDfury Dolby Vision since no projector can do that does it just mean it will do Dolby vision the best it can? Or just except the signal.btw love the new upgrades I got a rs600 about a year ago and love it that's why I'm so interested in the HDfury see if there's anyway to make it better than what it already is.

Thanks RodChester! I lucked out a bit on these recliners as far as the transducers are concerned. I asked the manufacturer/reseller the best place to mount them and they sent me a few images of the stock shakers mounted. There was a board across the back so it was pretty easy to do the same. My last seats didn't have anything like this. I had to screw 1x6 boards into the existing frame and attach the shakers to those.
Great looking setup. I’ve got a transducer that I need to get an amp for and get set up. I have a power reclining love seat with a console area in the middle, and I’m still not sure the best way to mount it without it getting in the way of all the moving bits.
Thank you for the comments TK !!!!! The "candy dispenser" is just a cabinet to store concessions. The doors open up and have shelves built in to it. Got it from Marshalls a few years ago on clearance for $20. The star ceiling was a steal, it is a USB plug in device from Amazon for $20. Once again thanks TK.
Another update with new pictures. This time I finally got the upgraded seats I've been saving for! Seatcraft Viennas with power everything. People may never see me again and I'm not even joking! haha
Updated the gallery with a few new pictures. I lowered, upgraded and repositioned the side and back surround speakers. This creates more separation between the bed layer and Atmos ceiling speakers which I've wanted to do for a while. Also recently upgraded the video to 4k HDR. I think we are officially done folks, with the exception of a few more decorations! Cheers!

Thanks so much for for the kind words novoice2008! This room is in our basement and the Mitsubishi spit unit has been awesome. That’s actually not an outside wall—instead, it opens to a crawl space that’s about 4ft high and runs the width of the house below an addition we recently had put on. So the insulated pipes run out to a condenser unit on the side of the house. I can’t recommend these enough. This one is whisper quiet and adds heat or cold in the room without needing to cut a large return vent in the wall. Awesome looking home theater. Could you say what room this was in your home before you crafted this awesome looking room? I see what appears to be a Mitsubishi A/C system on what I can assume is an outside wall and I have to ask, have you had any maintenance issues with that unit? I don't know whether you are answering any questions anymore, and if you are not, that is fine as well, as my main point was to congratulate you on putting together a beautiful room (I wanted to say awesome again...with good reason).
Great theater. Here is somethings I would personally change if it was mine. Note those are meant as ideas and suggestions and do not take from the great work that you did:
1. Your screen is on the small side for the back row for immersive viewing and your front row does not have an optimal seat (you have left / right and no center). If it was me , I would have the three seats in the front and use the middle seat as my MLP.
2. Your setup screams for an Acoustically Transparent screen. You can put your speakers behind the screen and they will sound like they are coming from the center of the action rather than from the bottom. The way you have it, all three front speakers are compromised by not being at ear level. Having an AT screen also will make your screen closer to the seats which will make the image and the viewing angle larger which is better for immersive viewing.
3. You could benefit from high sensitivity speakers and better subwoofers and you can hide them behind the screen.
4. A 4k or pseudo 4K projector will make a world of difference. I recommend the JVC brand for their excellent black levels and they are starting to be more affordable in the used market.

My train of thought is having 2 of the ribbons closer then the other side. Might not make a difference but maybe stand all 3 of the fronts up You can make the stand angle up I am sure!

It's been a long time coming and now that I've finally got room treatments and Atmos/DTS-X taken care of, the last few things are to upgrade the side and rear speakers to match my mains and then a new coat of paint. I'm looking at a slightly darker base color that still matches the burgundy. It's still going to be relatively light--probably a shade of khaki.
Heya Crazy. The goal with laying them on their side is to elevate them as high as possible off the ground (which the center woofer wouldn't be if I stood it upright). I decided a while back that I wanted to hide the speakers so I built the stage--unfortunately, an AT screen was not all that feasible in my setup or I would have gone that route. The good news is the stands I made allow all three speakers to be tilted upward slightly.
TK ~ Have you ever thought about standing that center speaker upright rather then laying it on its side? You have made the stands from what I can tell & it looks like standing it upright would be possible
I really like this. Some of these theaters look way out of my budget and space contraints. Your looks exactly like I would envision mine looking like if I ever took the plunge.
