Granite State Division SAF Winter Meeting 2018 

This is the annual winter meeting of the Granite State Division of the Society of American Foresters. Please join us!  You do not need to be an SAF member to attend.  A soup, salad, and sandwich buffet lunch is included in registration.  A head count for lunch is needed on Feb 2nd.  Those who fail to pre-register by that date are welcome to register and attend but may have to seek lunch elsewhere.

1:30 pm Shining the Light on LiDAR

LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) is a relatively new remote sensing technology that can capture precise (~1 meter) three dimensional measurements of the earth surface, including stonewalls and cellar holes. It has shown promise for a number of forestry applications including inventory and management.  Most of New Hampshire (84%) has been mapped with LiDAR and the data is now publicly accessible. The presenters will discuss how to access and potentially utilize this data.
