Is there any way to order the movesets for each mon by EPS (fast) and DPS (charge)? For example if one looks at Vaporeon now 1, 2, and 3 are in the order they appeared in the code, but what would be super useful is the order.

Not all: My old Dewgong knows Ice Shard+Blizzard, which is about 115% of the best possible (new) moveset Frost Breath+Blizzard.

Is there a chart with weave DPS for each moveset for each Pokemon somewhere?
Why do you say blissey moves don't matter? I get that the hp is her greatest strength, but mine got psychic, which appears to be far worse than dazzling gleam (same damage, but is a one bar move instead of two)
Well, they matter, I guess, that wasn't quite fair. Some moves are definitely better than others, maybe even by a good bit, but I'd max out my Blissey even if she had Splash/Struggle. Her stats are good enough that I don't think I'll regret it.
For some (probably most) people, a gym defender is rated on the time it takes for it to faint over damage dealt. A lot of places have plenty of Pokestops to fund the potions for damage, but players may be disinclined to fight a gym if it is going to take a while.
Looks like Psychic is a Legacy move now. Lucky me got my 1st Psycho Cut/Psychic 2 days ago!!! And Psychic is now a 1-bar move.
Yeah but it sucks compared to the new moves he can get. Every single Gen 1 pokemon I loved is now trash. I'm pretty close to just saying "screw it" and quitting:
Dragon Breath / Dragon Pulse dragonite is now significantly worse than dragon claw instead of just slightly worse. Both are worse than the new charge moves Hurricane and especially Outrage.
I had 7 Lapras with over 1000km walked. They are all junk now.
My 2770 Psycho Cut/Psychic Alakazam is now crap compared to the new moves it can get. Confusion now has a higher DPS and so does Futuresight
My 2600 Muk with poison jab/sludge wave is now significantly worse than one with gunk shot.
Now that I'm done bitching...
Question Has anyone measured DPS as a defender with the new gym mechanics? Is it the same where a fast move with higher DPS isn't good on a defender?
Example: Pound on Blissey has a DPS of 9.61 (with STAB). Zen Headbutt has a DPS of 7.74. Is the faster move now indeed better?
Don't forget that BS for Snorlax is three bar now.
Actually body slam is better than heavy slam somehow (??) Almost identical DPS but body slam is much spammier. Body slam = 32.89 DPS with STAB. Heavy Slam = 33.33 with no STAB because it's a steel move.
Dragon Breath / Dragon Claw Dragonite is still pretty dope (in fact, any Dragon Breath Dragonite is better than the new moves). If you were lucky to get a Dragon Breath Dragonite before the update (I wasn't my 2 got Steel Wing, and I had 140 candies before generation II hit)
2x DragonBreath / Hyper Beam D'Nites on deck. Never got a Dragon Claw or Dragon Pulse one however...

That's such a shame, it seems our play style means that the above changes have only affected me positively:
I have not walked or powered any of my 5 Lapras, including my 100% IV one.
I have 260 candies, 2 useful Abras; one at 98% and 2 Alakazams. One with with Confusion / Psychic. Win.
My Muk has Poison Jab / Gunk Shot.

Yep. I was too quick to think I'd been lucky. Turns out in terms of DPS Psycho Cut/Psychic is the worst Alakazam moves legacy/current combined. How great is that? Totally worth pouring 75k stardust on that Alakazam just two days before move rework.

They're learnable in all the games even in the new ones. Niantic is doing what the trading card game does, make past cards obsolete as new sets come out. That way people can keep buying new cards.
Are the new cards (or moves) usually better than the old ones? Or are the old ones coveted and people begin to hoard cards with every new set?
You don't buy new pokemon though... well, I guess you keep playing and thus buy items for playing.
They'll Re-release Pokémon with higher HP. Back then, Charizard used to be king with 120 HP, now it's in the 300s. For moves, they'll use same moves or similar type moves but increase their damage. This is called "power creep". Usually a set will last you at least a year. But then the Pokémon Company will release another set and shake things up. In fact, they're even more strict than Niantic. They don't even allow older sets to be used in official competitions. Only the new ones are allowed.

Have I not looked at enough examples or is this basically a DPS nerf to almost everything? Most quick attacks doubled their cooldown but not their damage. Energy gained per use stayed pretty much the same and in some cases actually decreased (Dragon breath went from 7 per use to 5 per use, but doubled in cooldown so its EPS went from 14 to 5 .... ouch!) meaning EPS was basically cut in half.... How are we supposed to deal with Blissey now?
Not to mention Dragon Breath is now legacy and Dragon Tail is much slower at 1.55 seconds with much worse energy generation, 6 per use.

Not really, Dragon Breath is better. You can use two between dodging. Dragon tail lasts 1.55 seconds so you can use it once between dodging or you get hit on the second use.

Lapras with water gun/hydro pump is going to be fairly useless. No place in gym due to low CP, also crappy Dragonite counter due to Not effective. Sad outcome for a such a rare pokemon.

One WA/FB and one WA/FT, both at level 34.5 :(
So this is basically to balance out gym AI. Since now every quick move is ~1 second and gym AI attacks every 2 seconds, but gets double the HP.
Yep, and the way the rearranged the damage of charge moves, pretty much every single charge move now is worth using. Whereas before you had plenty of examples where the fast move had a better dps than the charge move.
That's a significant step up, I must say. I mean, a Bite/Twister Gyarados probably still sucks, but you're not just plain better off not using Twister at all.
If I got Dratini before changes then evolved Dragonite still can get dragon breath?
If previous moveset changes are to go by, no you can't. I'm afraid Dragon Breath Dragonites are a really precious thing right now since their DPS (regardless of Charge move) is highder than all the current Dragonite movesets.

Just got my first Gyaradose with dragon tail and crunch. No idea if that's good or bad.
Worst attacker (only better than legacy bite/twister). At first glance it looks much better on defense. We'll have to wait for the game press move rankings to be released to confirm that, though.
