Sierra Simone strikes pure gold with American Prince. Embry's story has set the standard for top of the line, beautifully written, smart erotica. This is the one I'll measure all the others against. It's filled with heartbreak, lust, sacrifice, and above all else, love. It's perfect. As I always say, romance readers are smart and we should read books worthy of our intelligence. This is the book we've been waiting for.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! American Prince, book 2 of 3. How Embry Moore became the second most powerful man on earth while earning the love of his King & Queen!

“Embry holds my husband’s heart in his hands and he doesn’t even know it. He’s too busy looking at the details of Ash’s faces to see the expression, too busy being in love to see how loved he is.”

Books in trilogy should be read in order:
Book 1: American Queen
Book 2: American Prince
Book 3: American King

“I’m not asking either of you,” my husband answered sharply. “I expect you to mount her. I expect you to fuck her. I expect you to make her come. And I expect her to let you.”

This is an unconventional epic love saga between a king among men, President, former Lieutenant and war hero, Maxen Ashley Colchester, Ash, his best friend, lover, military comrade and Vice President Embry Moore, Prince and the girl who would grow up to be their queen, recent college graduate, professor and First Lady Greer Galloway, Princess.

Publicly they will face world crisis, political discord, scandal and tragedies. But it’s the battle they must fight behind closed doors that will define them and consume us. Through secrets, lies, greed, lust, betrayal, jealousy and conspiracy they will struggle to hold on to each other and that which is most sacred; An unapologetic and extraordinary love triangle that transcends time!

American Queen, book 1 is Greer’ story detailing her life, upbringing, first love, first kiss, first lover and how she came to marry the most powerful man on earth while earning the love and commitment of his best friend.

American Prince, book 2 is Emery’s story. A candid glimpse into the enigma of a man who would capture the heart of a king and a queen though he never felt worthy; The demons that plague him, the secrets he kept, the inner battles he fought and the sacrifices he made…

“The little prince in the book is so wise but so sad. Has so much to offer this world and yet he can’t stop pining for the one he loves.”
Colchester looked right into my eyes and I could not look away.”

Maxen Ashley Colchester, Ash is hands-down one of the best heroes I have ever met. Unapologetic in his love, his lust and his commitments he will drive command the story. Twelve words to describe Maxen: Imposing, powerful, ruthless, devious, manipulative, focused, enigmatic, irresistible, honorable, unforgettable, vulnerable, and larger-than-life.

Twelve words to describe Embry Moore, Prince: Private, loyal, secretive, noble, brave, nurturing, conflicted, complex, reckless, intense, suave and aloof.

Nine words to describe Greer Galloway, Princess: Smart, naïve, impressionable, submissive, good-hearted, resilient, trusting, confused and strong.

American Prince, told mostly from Emery’s POV, is a masterfully complex and interwoven tale of seduction, lust, sex, jealousy and love boosted by themes of political intrigue; power, greed, betrayal, scandal, conspiracy and danger.

Alternating between unfolding current events and flashbacks, Embry must step up for his country while villains stir, enemies plot and his king and queen remain steadfast in their love for their prince. It ends with earth-shattering revelations leading right to book 3, American King from Maxen’s POV for the conclusion to their saga.

All-consuming! Magnificent! A forbidden love triangle like no other! 6 stars!

“It was the purest heavens in the midst of the worst hell, and I loved every minute of it, even though it was all underpinned by a lie--my lie—and I knew one day it would burn down around me.”

top pick

Unbelievably brutal and beautiful, AMERICAN PRINCE was on a WHOLE OTHER LEVEL! I've never felt this much POWER from a romance in a VERY long time. I'm a mess. After finishing it last night, I was absolutely worthless the next day. I found myself walking around in a daze, wondering, hoping, and dreaming of a happily ever after that seems so far away. Sierra Simone, you made it HURT SO GOOD. I love AND hate you for it.

I'm not going to share anything about what happens in AMERICAN PRINCE, because I don't want to risk any spoilers, but just know that the shock and surprise you experienced in AMERICAN QUEEN, has NOTHING on this book..NOTHING! I had my suspicions that getting almost an entire book in Embry Moore's POV was going to be heart wrenching, emotionally draining, and completely intense, and I was right, but it was still 150% more than what I was expecting. Sierra Simone has already pushed my boundaries as a romance reader. She has taken me places that I never thought I would go, but she did it with such grace and beauty, that I couldn't help but follow her writing wherever it goes.

Embry, Maxen, and Greer - this beautiful triad has been through so much and they still have more to go. My heart hurts for these amazing and complex characters. Each one brings something to the table that I've never experienced before. We are experiencing them grow and struggle as individuals and as a group. There are connections where you never thought there would be connections. There is an unyielding love at the precipice of all this and I'm dying to get to the end. I wanted to savor Embry's story, but there was no way in hell I was putting this down once I began. AMERICAN PRINCE was SO MUCH MORE than what I expected. After AMERICAN QUEEN, of course I expected the emotional upheaval that it would bring me, but I had NO IDEA that it would affect me this much and this hard, that I'm still thinking about it a week after I turned the last page.

So prepare yourself for some deep shit. Prepare yourself for heartbreak. Prepare yourself to fall even harder than you have before. I don't even know what I'll do when I get Maxen's book in my hands. I'll probably just stare at it for days, not wanting to rush the inevitable.

This story of an American Prince...well, it's unlike any story you've ever read. It's a story that will change you. It's a story that will hold you hostage long before the last page is turned.

"I couldn't breathe. Actually couldn't breathe; the air twisted in my chest..." That sums up how this book left me.  It’s utterly breath-taking!  If you haven’t read this series yet…WHY?!  Trust me; you need this in your life.

Here’s the breakdown:  American Prince picks up where American Queen leaves off.  Greer has been kidnapped.  It chronicles the events during and after her rescue.  And SO MUCH happens.  But most important, there are flashbacks that give us an intimate view of the relationship between Ash and Embry.  It’s a complicated story of love, sacrifice, ambition, and loss.  It’s a stunning portrayal of the many facets of love.  You can’t choose who you love.  You can’t always control the circumstances of your relationship, but how you respond and deal with those truths is the core of this story. It’s poignant, beautiful, raw, sometimes heart-breaking, but perfectly rendered.

 photo So-good-Its-so-good-Good-Awesome-So-Awesome.gif

Here’s what I absolutely loved:
The writing is above reproach.  The characters are flawed, but flawless.  This is imaginative storytelling at its best!

Ash and Embry’s connection.  Embry and Greer’s connection.  And most importantly, how they all interweave and connect.  Embry thinks of himself as the bad guy, the lease deserving of the trio, but he’s so wrong.  He’s such a brilliantly complex character.

The Arthurian connections – The whole cast of characters show up in one way or another.  From Percival to Kay, Sierra packs in the connections to the various tellings of the Camelot myth.

The concept that love is love, but it also means sacrifice. The use of that theme throughout is heartbreaking and we see the impact of the sacrifices that each character makes. It's very touching. You will FEEL ALL THE FEELS with this one!

 photo myemotions.gif

Overall, this is my favorite book of the YEAR.  Yes, it’s only March, but I’m so impressed.  I fell so hard for Embry in Book 1 and struggled even harder waiting for his story to publish.  I’m beyond pleased with the outcome.  I was blown away and am completely under the spell of Sierra Simone.

 photo man-daydreaming.gif

She has set the bar inconceivably high with this series.  It has my highest recommendation and is a TJ TOP FAVE.

Sometimes I am so glad that I can swear on Goodreads reviews because I want to swear (remind me to untick the Facebook link so my boss doesn't see me all sweary).

Fuckety, fuck, fuck! Fuck the world. Fuck Abilene. Fuck Morgan. Fuck Merlin. Fuck Achilles. Fuck Patroclus. Fuck my Little Prince.

Life is unfair and I am going to sulk and sulk and sulk forever. Even getting tickets for RARE 18 (London baby) won't stop me sulking. Even a trip to the great gin God in the cupboard won't stop me sulking. Even a snog from Adam Levine won't stop me sulking...hmmm that might work actually. Send Adam and send him now!

Sierra Simone you are a little temptress of magicness. You lady, you deserve to be spanked, HARD! You have had me sweating and swooning. I haven't eaten all day. My kids haven't eaten all day with the exception of a bag of jelly beans and marshmallow mushrooms - that's two vegetables right?

I'm dead! Want to know what happens in this book? Buy it and guard your heart or it might beat itself right out of your chest.

DEAD!

P.S Facebook unticked.

Second read completed ready for my King. I want to be sick. I want to do all the swears. I want to kick a puppy. Livid. Fuming. Still dead. I'm convinced there is a plan. There has to be. Please Sierra, please don't do this to me. I'm begging. I promise to read all the Chaucer tales. I'll memorise them and recite them. I'll send you bluebells from Yorkshire every spring. Just please, please let there be a plan.

Update 14/03/2017

At chapter 24

I've suspended disbelief.

Scandal, the TV show, appears more realistic than this book. That scene at Melwas's fortress, when Embry agrees to have sex with Greer has to be the most nonsensical plot manipulation ever. Of course, we KNOW now why the author wrote it as such.

Pure, unadulterated, BS.

At chapter 16

This book will not pass close scrutiny. There's a good story there I'm sure but it's lost in the narrative, and being in Embry's head is disturbing.

Considering he was my favourite character in American Queen, I find it hard to reconcile this version of him to whom we met in the first serial.

Additionally, it's a bit alarming that the FLOTUS could be so easily taken. There is no way that the President, his Vice, and the First Lady would not have perimeters of secret service protection.

With so much going on, the amount of space dedicated to the sex scenes is disproportionate and distracting. In fact, the many smex scenes left me unmoved and disengaged.

Would someone please explain how Greer turned into a TSTLF?

American Prince wrecked me in the best way possible. That ending… I can’t even. Seriously, you all who read this book when it was first released…. how did you even function? I am so grateful I waited and I was able to jump straight into American King.

This book was not an easy read. I loved it, but it broke my heart and tore me up. These books are super steamy, but also incredible angsty and emotional. This review will be short and sweet because I’m reading American King now, and I need to finish that more than I need to review this LOL!

LIVE! GET IT!!!

➦But in all honesty, I guess what I'm trying to say is that

➦If you thought the first book in this trilogy was hot... then this... I can't even. I don't even know how to describe this book to you. This was like American Queen on steroids. lol One thing I do know for sure - this is the best erotic novel I've read to date. I'm blown away and speechless, Sierra Simone:

➦If you are like me and you love in depth character development and complicated plots with whole lot of scorching scenes in it then you will love this one. You have to be a fan on M/M & M/M/F, as I've mentioned in my review of the first installment of this series.

➦The storyline develops both in the past and in the present and I loved that so much. It gave me a much better understanding of who these three main characters are and what makes them tick. Embry is the star of the show here but Greer gets an occasional POV and Ash is very present in both of their thoughts.

➦There is a balance to every aspect in the story and, even though the book is on the long side, it was never dragging and I found myself devouring it at the speed of light.

➦Ok, yeah, but only about the reading speed. Everything else I swear by. The sex scenes in this book are all unique and refreshing , passionate, dirty and absolutely exhilarating! You get glimpses of Embry with Greer and Embry with Ash in the past as well as all of them in the present. Some scenes might surprise you. I had no clue where this book was going and I'm simply amazed at how active Sierra Simone's imagination is! lol Cannot wait for the third book in the series!

OH MY GOD! I... I can't even put into words how I am feeling right now. I'm shocked. I am blown away. I did not see that coming. I had an idea of how this book would go, but no. It went into a complete different direction. I'm speechless. This book was EVERYTHING. Full of unbelievably hot moments, but also heartbreaking moments. I would go from screaming "NOOO", to having to take a moment to gather my wits because whew, talk about a girl overheating reading those sexy scenes. This book was a roller coaster that I did not want to end!!

I can't even express the love that I have for these characters. I don't think I've ever felt so emotionally attached to characters before, but I seriously cannot stop thinking about them!! I thought I loved Embry in American Queen, but the love I have for him now that I've read American Prince doesn't even compare to then. To see what great lengths he goes to save the ones he loves, but doesn't feel he deserves that in return is heartbreaking.

Sierra knows how to captivate you with her writing. It's unbelievable. I am so IN LOVE with this book and I cannot wait for the next one. Believe me when I say this book is a MUST read!

Sometimes when I'm reading a book, I find myself slowing down my reading pace as the end gets closer. It's weird: I both desperately want to know how it ends, yet I desperately don't want it to end.

Such is the case with American Prince, the magnificent second book in Sierra Simone's erotic, intrigue-filled romance trilogy. This review will contain spoilers from American Queen, the first in the series, so if you haven't read that, I suggest you do and then come on back here.

We last saw Ash and Embry tangled in the sheets, having celebrated Ash and Greer's wedding night. The bride, however, was abducted by an evil middle east dictator in cahoots with her duplicitous cousin. The good news is that Simone gets you through that scenario fairly quickly, but don't celebrate too much: the repercussions of that kidnapping play out across the rest of the novel.

Whereas American Queen was told primarily through Greer's eyes, this one belongs to Embry. You still get Greer's POV, but Embry takes center stage. As he should, quite frankly. Embry is the Lancelot to Ash and Greer's Arthur and Guinevere, the man who loves his king and queen and would sacrifice anything for them, even his own happiness and contentment. He believes he is a "bad, selfish man;" yet he can't see that he loves so purely and selflessly and is loved purely and selflessly in return.

As you read this book, you sense that Embry will be forced to make a sacrifice that will break his - and your - heart. You will worry about him. You will worry for Ash and Guinevere. You will end the book feeling frantic and sad and anxious, and very, very worried. Simone leaves her characters in perilous conditions, their futures and happinesses uncertain and wobbling. You will revel in the intimacy shared between Greer, Ash, and Embry, particularly that between Ash and Embry. Simone takes you back into their relationship, from the first time they meet to her stunning cliffhanger. You watch them fall in love, and you will lose yourself in their sex scenes. Sierra Simone packs those jewels with the perfect amount of detail, making you squeeze your thighs together as she delivers the quiver.

Never fear, though: you will also revel in the intimacy shared between Greer, Ash, and Embry, particularly that between Ash and Embry.

This is a love story, first and foremost, albeit perhaps an unconventional one. Ash, Greer, and Embry love each other. It isn't always perfect - Simone does not hide jealousies and insecurities - and it certainly isn't safe. It's interesting that Simone never puts you in Ash's head, treating him instead like a mysterious, magnetic leader of two impassioned followers. "I'd be dead before I stopped loving Ash," Embry says. "I will break from loving him, I think. I will split with it, burn with it."

When you finish this book, you will feel the same way.

Title: American Prince
Author: Sierra Simone
Release Date: March 7, 2017
Book 2 of 3

After reading American Queen, I couldn’t wait to read American Prince. I was hoping and praying that American Prince would be just as good as American Queen. Well, I’m happy to report that I was just BLOWN AWAY by the second installment in this series! I binge read this book in one sitting. Embry’s story is nothing short of incredible. American Prince is not your average erotic romance. It’s so much more. Sierra spun a wickedly sexy and smart heartfelt web of love, lust, lies and sacrifices. Embry and Ash have a lot of history leading up to their relationship with Greer. This emotion-packed journey of the heart and soul will melt your e-reader and captivate your heart. There are so many smart and sexy twists and turns in this erotic rollercoaster romance, and an ending that is going to leave you breathless. I need American King now, please.

Wow. This was a journey!

Let's see...

The previous book worked us through Greer, the heroine's story.

This one shows us what happened with Ash and Embry during their time as soldiers before they even met Greer, through Embry's POV, but Greer's story still continues in the present as do all of theirs as well.

The previous book ended with a cliffhanger and we immediately pick up from there.

The men have to rescue Greer without breaking the news to the nation and then the three will have to deal with a scandalous sex scandal, someone gets pregnant and someone else gets shattered with a big secret.

The sex scenes steam up the air, bringing even more tension between our protagonists.

But despite all of these conflicts piling on top of each other, the story still keeps my eyes glued because no one can deny the chemistry and the love between the three protagonists.

In this story, a prince will become a king and you will be begging for the next installment of this series.

I, for one, am burning with anticipation!

4.5 stars!

Thank you for reading my review!

Happy reading!!

Good god what do I say about this book. Anyone who knows me knows that American Queen was my favorite read of 2016. I really had no clue where American Prince would go. I just knew I had to get my hot little hands on it as soon as possible. Let me start off by saying Sierra Simone writes with such depth and detail. You are fully emersed in the story whether before or after. Because you will see this story is told from 2 povs and from 2 different periods of time

If you think you have an idea of what going to happen in this book let me just tell you right now, you don't! Because soooo much happens. You will see so many sides to your favorite characters that you never knew existed. If you haven't read American Queen stop right here reading this review.

One thing I remember making notes of...we all know from the last chapter of American Queen that Greer is kidnapped. And I happened to note that I loved how Sierra wrote Greer during this in American Prince. She was clear minded, smart and thinking about doing all the right things to escape. Often authors write a weak minded character and I liked that Sierra didn't write her that way. I almost felt like all women should take notes in case they should have be in such a situation. Why I mention this I don't really know but it just stuck out to me while I was reading.

Beyond that particular scenario there is so much going on in this book. So many revelations. So many things you learn just from seeing the story told from a different pov and a different timeframe. You'll see Embry in a different light as well as Ash. You see their relationship in a completely different light as well as the triad.

And if you are wondering if Sierra can once again bring on the heat we'll have no fear. I've decide this author had the ability to build a scene like no other. She just has a talent not just for sexy scenes but just such a story telling talent. I feel like I'm rambling...probably because I just finished this book and am in hangover stage. I really need American King now!

There are stories that you think you know from the beginning. Stories that are always predictable. Boy meets girl. They fall in love and live happily ever after.

This. Is. Not. That. Story.

I thought I was ready for my American Prince. I had it all planned out in my head. I met him when I read American Queen and fell in love. What I got from American Prince was so much heartbreak, pain, and SEX!! So much SEX!!! All the SEX!!!! Did I say SEX!!!!! Dirty SEX!!!!! Passionate SEX!!!!!!! HOT SEX!!!!!!!!! I NEED MORE SEX!!!!

Sierra Simone has consumed my heart for all eternity with on name. EMBRY!!!

Embry is rich and spoiled, yet dreamy and sad. Simone writes his character so that we fall in love with him, heart first. We bleed and beg for his touch and his words. She gives us his past and his present clashing together like two gladiators looking for victory. He lives hard and loves harder. No matter how he tries to convince himself, he is worthy of nothing in his life he is worth everything. Embry is the character we have been craving for in books since Shakespeare wrote Hamlet. He is a good man. He is a good leader. I see him becoming more than a prince.

I'm a M/M virgin. Sierra Simon has popped my cherry, and it felt so toe-curling good. When I started American Prince, I was ready for a beautiful M/M/F love story. I wasn't expecting to have my entire psyche gutted open like a fish. I honestly felt like a voyeur spying on a couple of lovers clawing at each other's hearts all in the name of love. I was so horny reading all the sex scenes with Embry and Ash; I had to take one (ok six) for the home team and flick the bean.

You aren't ready for this kind of lover affair. Hold on to your tits my friends. This ain't your grandma's kind of love story.

5 I NEED MOORE STARS!!!

I want to be Embry Moore's everything. #INeedMOORE!!! I'd let him do all the things to me. ALL. OF. THEM.

But HOLY CHRIST. What did I just read? An epic journey. An experience. A mind fuck. Oh god. I don't think I can handle everything I read. It was brilliant. It was beautiful. It was BEYOND sexy. Oh and the FEELS. So many I can't even think of them all! I'm a mess! And god almighty, I loved every word. HARD.

OK. I'm just going to get right to it. NEVER. EVER have I read sexy scenes like what I have read in this story. Holy Hell. I may have needed some alone time. Not gonna lie. But these scenes were so much more than that hotter than hell sex. The love that Ash, Greer and Embry feel for each other is just beautiful and soul searing and I just can't. *sobs* These characters have come to mean SO MUCH to me. They are a part of my heart and soul.

I thought I had experienced the time of my life with American Queen. I really did. And then came our little prince. Embry Moore is EVERYTHING. He is now my top book boyfriend of ALL TIME. I read this book months ago and I am STILL not over it. I find myself thinking about it daily. That's what Sierra Simone's writing does to you. And you never know what your heart will have to endure when you read her stories until it's too damn late. I don't think I will EVER get my heart back. Jesus. Don't think I'll get my soul back either. Embry has stolen it. And I damn well love it.

The journey Sierra has taken me on with American Prince is BEYOND anything I could have ever hoped for and SO. MUCH. MORE. *clutches heart* I am DYING all of the deads waiting for American King. Oh. God. Is it August yet?!

My Name is Amie, and I SERVE at the PLEASURE of the VICE PRESIDENT!!! OMGWAD!!!

The WORDS that come to mind for AMERICAN PRINCE would have me banned from ALL OF SOCIAL MEDIA... I will say that EMBRY MOORE ( and you see were ALREADY MARRIED) has got my WHOLE HEART... Never has a male character in a BOOK took me away as EMBRY has.. This man is COMPLEX in all the right ways, LOVING from the depths of his SOUL willing to make whatever sacrifices to ensure that the ones he is most devoted to feel as if they were his EVERYTHING... His purpose for LIVING. His Love and Devotion to Greer and Ash knows no boundaries, but it is his lack of Love for himself that gives you ALL THE FEELS.... Sierra Simone has a way with words that draws you into her story, making you feel like these characters are every day people... The people YOU KNOW. ... She had me grabbing at anything near by to keep my balance, losing my mind at every single writen word... This is what Sierra's writing does to MY SOUL.... she keeps you coming back for more... begging for more.... hoping beyond hope for that next fix.... Embry Moore will always be my number one. This BOOK is MUST READ. 2017 BEST READ...

All's fair in love and war and this does not necessary need to make sense.

In love and war most of the times the actions have absolutely no reason or logic behind them. They are what they are.
If there is love and lust at the same time, the effects are intensified.

Thus forgive me, but I will not review a marvelous piece of unblemished art. I never liked this kind of books anyway.

What I read is a beautiful example of a mainstream (by its irregularities) story. What I read is a heartbreaking, breathtaking love-story with its flaws, its exaggerations, its mythology and its uniqueness.

After the author has set perfectly the scene in American Princess, we get here the perfect middle book in the trilogy.

American Prince is the book that leads to the absolute destruction piece by piece of
a) Ash, Greer and Embry's relationship which had been magically tight with promises and oaths.
b) The relationship dynamics between Ash and Embry, who have started questioning who is the King and who is the Prince, who is the boss and who is the loyal servant.
c) The long last friendship between Ash and Embry which used to have the strongest foundations and the most intense feelings.
d) The myth of the flawless, perfect Queen with the unreasonable, unrealistic expectations by everyone.

The book has so many loose threads in the end. I am not sure how the author will bring everything together in book 3. There is so much devastation and drama. I finished the book yesterday and I still feel feverish.

It is so very clever the way the author entwines the old story of the two men that have fallen in love during a war and the new story of the two friends who are trying to achieve happiness with their Queen while everything seems to be against them and they even doubt themselves and their love.

I absolutely loved the war scenes that were associated with some of the oldest unattached mysterious places in the heart of Europe. It has the quality of an old fashioned story. It almost felt that it is a novel based on the Second World War.
And it is a nice change the fact the bad guys are NOT Muslim terrorists.

Anyway, those are my thoughts. I will try to read something completely different now because I need to calm down.

Final remark 1: If you are not familiar with books that include the following, please be prepared before you start this book:
-scenes with humiliation in general
-sexual acts that include humiliation and/or physical pain
-rape fantasies
-intense dominant/submissive MM sex scenes,
-strong unpleasant thoughts and images which the process of catharsis brings
catharsis: Greek word that means the purification and purgation of emotions (e.g. fear and self-pity) through extreme techniques like bringing repressed feelings and memories into consciousness.

Final remark 2: F@ck you Morgan! F@ck you Abilene! F@ck you Melwas! And a special one F@ck you Merlin! I am tired of him warning the wrong people at the wrong times.

Final remark 3: Since I am fuming right now, I expect my HEA in book 3. I want a few major twists. And I want my King to speak finally and give every two-faced, manipulative bitch some hell.

Well, that happened!

description

It is obvious that this series is based on the King Arthur legend.

I really enjoyed book 1, this one was 50/50.

This Embry, is not the Embry i loved in book 1. Embry took on another personality, a personality meant for soap opera twist. The author succeeded though. It was too soapy. I am told that Embry deserves to suffer, but i am not shown. I was frustrated by that.

It was good to know how Embry and Ash met, their history made their bond stronger. I felt their connection more, these two got mad chemistry, the sex between them was filthy, dirty, demanding and so hot. The rest? Ugh! WTF Embry?

Greer became that Heroine. TSTL. Ugh!

Good thing the sexual chemistry was still there, i felt like Greer was added to this to make it more mf friendly, she sometimes felt like a prop. It should have been just Embry and Ash.

The hotness between the MMF scenes in book 1 took a back seat here. Ash and Embry stole the show every time. Ash love for Embry is stronger than his love for Greer. I believe Ash can learn to live without Greer, but he can't survive without Embry, that is how strong their love is. It kept me going, otherwise, i could have DNF this one.

I will not go into a rant about the whole Abilene plot. And Lyr.... And Morgan...........

Anyhoo, i will be listening to book 3 because this ends with a freaking cliffy and i need to know how this series ends. Oh and Ash just became my favorite.

“Do you taste that?” I ask, pressing the pads of my fingertips onto her tongue. “That’s the taste of the pussy I’m about to fuck.”

Okay, I'm full! Ash and Embry, thank you very much for this delicious meal. I look forward our next meeting... :D

OH MY GOODNESS! What an amazing story is this? I literally devoured it and you have no idea how much I enjoyed it. :D This was one of the hottest book I have ever read. Trust me, I have a lot of wet panties to prove that because my laundry box is full of with them now... :P

Anyway if you're okay with FMM/ MM books and also with kinky stuff, I highly recommend this series to you... Just make sure to that you're all alone when you read this books... :P

Annnnd I'm agree with Joey. I FLOVED Ash and Embry. Can I have them both? :D

“Then Ash kisses me, then the three of us find ourselves in a joined kiss, a breathless, teasing exercise. I begin to forget whose lips are whose, which tongue is which, which cock is taking its pleasure in my ass and which cock is taking its pleasure in my cunt.”

2* unpopular & spoiler STARS!

American Queen left us hanging with Greer's kidnapping on her wedding night. A bit recap, Greer Galloway is a grandchild from ex-Vice President of United State. She married Maxen Ashley Colchester aka Ash, the President and became First Lady. Those two involved in forbidden love relationship with Embry Moore. But there is more than love... Anyway, I was curious to read this story but the reality sucks. Let me explain...

description

American Prince told from from dual POVs, Embry (past and present) and Greer. But the story focused on who is Embry for real. He's like the main course while Greer as a dessert and Ash only side dish.

⇒ What surprised me is Embry's past has similarity with someone I know. Who is he? . Yup, I might say the resemblance is uncanny. Embry is a manwhore, came from rich family and enjoy sex very much. He's also entered military service; still immature until he met Ash there. Embry has a step-sister who came and fooling around with Ash.

⇒ In the past, Ash is still the same like now. He has dominant aura yet still arrogant and complicated. Hate-to-love. What they have back then was really magical and unexpected. I kinda loved their chemistry than with Greer. Pft. Together, Ash and Embry has something raw and passionate with all the non-existent romantic acts. More acceptable, somehow.

description

⇒ Back to the present, Greer's kidnapped by the enemy was predictable yet unbelievable. It was really silly from a leader of the country. Foul play. He wants to fuck her because Greer intrigued him. Gah! Then, Embry and his team came to save her in time. Too coincidental.

⇒ I didn't know what's wrong with Embry. He confused with himself. With their hidden marriage also his love-slash-jealous for Greer and Ash. When Greer asked for something ridiculous, he didn't think clear even careless. I couldn't find what's hot in the scene except really disturbing.

description

⇒ There are lot of sex scenes happened. Between Greer and Ash. Greer and Embry. Ash and Embry. The most memorable scene is when the three of them doing it together, again. Yup, I admitted it was really freakin' hot.

⇒ In the end, it turns into TV drama. It isn't about politic anymore. But love, jealousy and sacrifice. The dark secrets revealed and the blackmail happened. Really cringe-worthy. Embry went to martyr route. Ash feels useless like always. Also Greer seems to have magical honey pot who attracted all the bees.

description

Overall, try to suspend disbelief when you decide to read this. It was okay at first then everything went down to hills. I found it is not memorable enough for me to write this review. Will I read the next book? As a masochist, I really need answers for the all the fucked up over-the-top drama.

I really liked this book.

This story is so frustrating. It hurts to see the lives of this characters now, lives that could have been so much happier, lives that have been affected so fundamentally for the decisions made solely by one person. Sacrifices that should have never been made, secrets that should have never been kept.

I can honestly say, I was not expecting this book to go this route when I finished American Queen. The lives of the characters at this point feel tragic, and I can’t help but pity them. Maxen and Greer found their happy ending, but not really, because then, there is Embry.

Embry, out of a misguided heroic sense of love and duty towards Maxen and Greer, made decisiones that took their lives into a single direction were they got no choice or say because they didn't know that there could have been another direction, that they could have have more choices.
For years Embry has been a martyr, enduring a life he himself have shaped with his decisions, reassuring himself in the idea that he has done, is doing and will keep doing the right thing by the two people he loves most in the world, and that everything is for them, for their well being, when in reality he acts dominated by fear and taking onto himself, selfishly in my opinion, all the heavy weight, a weight that should have been shared with Maxen and Greer, who should have been involved since the very beginning in what was going on behind them, they should have know.
How can you reach the desired happiness when you are blind to half of your life? when you don't know?
It is so frustrating, it makes me so mad. COMMUNICATION, please!

I can’t wait to read the last book.

FEELINGS COMING IN 3, 2, 1….

If you’re looking for a story that makes you say, “I LITERALLY CANNOT EVEN. I CAN’T EVEN, I AM UNABLE TO EVEN, I HAVE LOST MY ABILITY TO EVEN, I AM SO. UNABLE. TO. EVEN.” Well then this is the series for you.

Click HERE to read my review of American Queen (American Queen Trilogy #1) if you’d like to read that before reading my review of American Prince.

Commencing feelings…

American Prince is the book that will make you feel EVERYTHING you could possibly feel when reading a great book. Book 2 picks up right where book 1 left off, and if you’ve read AQ, then you know how it ended.

*cue the intense blushing and the heartache*

But this time around we are blessed to dive into sweet Embry’s mind. His POV (with the occasional Greer POV) for me, was glorious. I have yet to read a male POV sooo, god what word can I possibly use to describe Embry’s POV…? I can seriously say that the bar has been set pretty high, and it’s going to take a lot for any male POV to reach that standard for me. Being inside Embry’s mind broke my heart over and over again. He truly believes he is a bad selfish man, and maybe to some capacity he is selfish, but aren’t we all? To me, he has one of the biggest hearts out of Ash and Greer. The sacrifices he endures for the ones he loves just goes to show how much of a selfless man he really is.

We get a chance to see when Embry and Ash first meet, (and nothing was able to prepare me for all the Embry and Ash Scenes.) **ANGST CENTRAL** as well as when he first encounters Greer. ALL THE FEELS.

I felt a deep level of love from these characters as well as hate, betrayal, empathy, remorse, jealousy, JEALOUSY, Gahhhh, I was jealous!!! As if I was a character in this book and had a reason to be jealous about. I couldn’t even begin to understand what these characters must have been feeling half the time. Suffice to say there was a lot of head banging against the wall. It was that good.

Sierra Simone knows what the hell she is doing, and she isn't here to play games. I didn't even know that American Prince was going to come with a deep level of Mind F*ck, but it did and I barely survived. But in all seriousness, I really love the way Sierra Simone can twist words and tell one hell of an unconventional love story.

I NEED BOOK THREE LIKE MY LIFE DEPENDS ON IT.

Be ready!

This story picks up right where American Queen left off and it is full steam ahead. Besides having to address the major cliffhanger, this book is really the meat and potatoes of the trilogy. It is told in past and present events and the full extent of Ash and Embry's relationship is brought to life.

The backgrounds in stories can be very important. They set the tone and the direction for the present. You are able to understand things in the present that otherwise might not make sense. Ash and Embry share a very special relationship. There are many facets of their lives that drive the story. It is beautiful, passionate and heartbreaking. Each man is dynamic and magnificent in their own right. And more fascinating is their own specific connection with Greer.

Ash, Greer and Embry share a fiery, dominant, submissive bond. They truly all love one another. Their love.... Ash-Greer, Ash-Embry, Embry- Greer, Ash-Greer-Embry is fueled with deep carnal passion. Sierra Simone writes these sex scenes with vivid, sensual and erotic words that will leave you panting and very hot.

But alas, the past comes back to rile it's ugly head. Evil forces simmer all around and threaten to break up Camelot. This story ends in a cliffhanger but really more of a "OMG....this is a game changer and I really need the last book NOW"!!!

This is Embry's book and to be honest, I'm not sure how I feel about him. He went from ~sort of~ being endearing to I just felt he needed to get over himself especially towards the end. I really hated what he put Ash through even if he felt he was doing the right thing.

There's a lot of history about him and Ash meeting and what went on when his step-sister, Morgan, came into the picture. (Okay, my heart did go out to him on that one.)

Then, Greer comes into the picture and again, I'm feeling a bit ambivalent about it all. Would there have been more Ash and Embry without Greer? It's hard to say.

description

And I really wanted more of all that dynamic but the story took a different path, a really different one. Not so shocking about the who but extremely shocking about the why. I sure didn't see that coming!

However, I was disappointed at Embry's less than cautious behavior upon returning to his house...especially when he knew who was behind things. Ugh...I understand something had to be done for the plot but I don't like it when things are illogical/unrealistic.

All my disappointments from American Queen are basically still the same...and I'm still waiting for answers - even more of them now.

Off to American King I go...

I had some issues with the previous books hotness level but American Prince definitely picked up the pace some. Not only did we get more scenes between Ash, Embry, and Greer we also got the added bonus of seeing more of Ash and Embry's past. I really liked that this story went back to when they first started their affair because it let me connect to them more than I had before.

There's also a lot more drama involved in this one which actually turned out to be a good thing. It kept me intrigued with wondering what was going to happen with these three. I'm calling this one my favorite in the series and that is a well deserved statement.

What an ending. I couldn’t help laughing cause the story was just all over the place in the last couple of chapters. I liked American Prince but I didn’t love it. I was definitely entertained but I think I would have enjoyed it more if I could feel a connection between the characters. I felt the sex overshadowed the story and don’t get me wrong I love steamy sex scenes but it just became to much at times. I felt every interaction with Ash, Embry and Greer was resolved with sex and it became a bit repetitive.
I thoroughly enjoyed Embry and Ash’s history. This is their love story. No question about it.
Sierra Simone can write! She weaves a story together beautifully. Although American Prince didn’t impress me as much as American Queen I’m definitely reading the final book just to get closure. I have to.

It’s no secret American Queen by Sierra Simone is one of my favorite erotic romances of all time. I’m drawn to dark, taboo and boundary-pushing romances that break the mold and step all over it and Sierra Simone delivered that in spades with the first book in this intoxicating trilogy. To say I was eager to read American Prince, is a gross understatement. I’ve been stalking Sierra’s social media like a ravenous dog, eager for any scraps from her writerly table. So was American Prince what I craved and longed for?

Yes and no.

Sierra Simone’s signature writing style with it’s myriad literary references and its rich, descriptive language is still present. Every single description is stark and vivid and the countless sex scenes (MM and MFM) are both exciting and so delicious to the senses, they linger and penetrate the mind. So yes, I very much enjoyed this book. I cherished the chance to get Embry’s POV and truly understand his side of the story.

Embry Moore as we know, is the “Little Prince” in this story where Maxen “Ash” Colchester is the President of the United States (and a metaphor for King Arthur), while Greer Galloway gets to be a modern day Guinevere (both a Queen and a “Little Princess” as she is refered to many times). She is a First Lady with a secret. She welcomes both Embry, the Vice President, and her own husband into her bed.

It’s clear there are feelings between these three characters that run deep. But this book does a fine work of explaining everything that happened pre-Greer when it was just Ash and Embry. And boy, is there a lot of history between them. Feelings, emotions, turbulence. This was already alluded to in American Queen, but we get to experience it all here in its full glory.

I loved the scenes during the Carpathian war years when Ash and Embry served together in the front. Not only were these scenes titillating, they were so beautifully written, I can only refer to them as spellbinding. The first time between Embry and Ash, sharing their bodies with each other, was raw and bloody and primal. And this is a theme that continues throughout the entire fourteen years of Embry and Ash’s tumultuous relationship. There is a great deal of sacrifice, pain, love and torment. It’s as prevalent in the pre-Greer years as it is after Greer comes into the picture. It was amazing to experience how the pieces moved towards the opening scenes of American Queen, when Greer gets to meet both Ash and Embry afterwards.

This time around, the book starts with the kidnapping of Greer which occupies the first 20% of the book. I’m glad this scenario wasn’t protracted unnecesarily. After that segment, a myriad of complications ensue. I predicted there would be jealousy and a constant emotional tug of war between these three characters. And there was. There were also external conflicts, political intrigue and evil machinations also tried to split this trio. The ending contains a twist or two I never saw coming. I was elated for the possibilies ahead for the third and last book. I normally spot plot twists a mile away but Sierra did a beautiful job of holding her cards close to her chest until the very end.

I adore this trilogy and I’m addicted to everything about it. It’s one of the most original and well written erotic (actually erotic) series out there. In a sea of mediocre trashy porn romances masquerading as erotica, this is the real deal. This is quality writing with characters that leap from the pages and an atmosphere that heightens the sex scenes so they’re more than just insert tab A into slot B.

I only have a couple of minor qualms. Embry’s self-deprecation through large portions of this book is one of them. He seems caught in a web of low self-esteem that makes him think of himself as fundamentally flawed. It made me wonder if his submissive relationship towards Ash, who is both a dominant and a sadist, isn’t born not just out of fated love and admiration but out his a desire for punishment. Does he seek Ash’s strong, brusing discipline out of a self-destructive streak? Does he punish himself by loving a man that is always fundamentally out of reach? I would hope that Embry’s dark self-image isn’t the real reason he’s so drawn to Ash.

Menage romances are always a tricky proposition, both when dealing with MMF and MFM. It’s hard to buy into the idea that feelings are perfectly reciprocated all around in equal portions. Unfortunately, American Prince does give the sensation at times, that Greer may just be another “obstacle”, (even if it’s a beloved one), in this long passionate affair between Embry and Ash that spans so many years. After finding out everything that goes on between them, the way they are with each other alone, Greer feels almost insubstantial at times. Sierra tries hard to establish how much Embry and Ash both love Greer but it always pales in comparison to everything between both men. So in essence we have Merlin, Morgan, Jenny, Abilene… Melwas and Embry’s own hang-ups… coming between them and now also Greer, in a way. Ash has always been unabashedly devoted to Embry after all, willing to give everything up for him and it’s only after Embry’s continued retreats that he’s forced to let other people into their lives.

But this is just a minor qualm because these books are spectacular. I’m sure the final installment will blow my mind. I have faith in this author’s ability to awe and seduce me. I’d highly recommend this series to virtually everyone. It’s just such a well done modern fairy tale and so rich and provocative it deserves to be devoured and reread.
