12/6/2015 22:20:491. Talking to teachers to get ideas on how to boost achievement
2. Using several types of data to drive instruction
Barbara Griggs1. Look at my data to see what skills need to be retaught during whole or small group
2. Restructure my literacy and math station to ensure students have several opportunities to strengthen weak areas
It seems like a useful tool. I can see how it could be used as a "homework tutor" through our teacher webpages.
3
12/8/2015 12:34:10I think it is really important that teachers are looking at how questions are being asked on unit test because this is the type of speak we need to be using with students during mini-lessons.

I think talking to other campus is essential. I have 3 other campuses that I am in contact with because we are able to discuss best ways to teach a concept and share resources that have worked well.
Candace WilsonI will continue to use data a way to drive instruction.I think Movenote could be a great tools to use.
4
12/7/2015 6:01:54Track you students and work in small groups.

Work with other campuses that are doing better than we are and see what they are doing to get those scores up.
Christine RhoadesCollaborate with other campuses to see that they are doing.I like it. It helps focus on what you want us to do as a school and we can give you immediate feedback and we could meet less often or spend less time in a faculty meeting and more time tutoring students.

12/7/2015 22:07:19*Smith definitely needs to find ways to strengthen math skills and strategies in every grade from 1st-4th.
*There are opportunities to collaborate with other teachers within our school and at other district schools to gain new insights and strategies to help us improve.
Debbie Hill*Help my team look at data for specific TEKS to "hone-in on" and create a plan for implementation. (include student input, also)
*Look at vocabulary to use daily in our "content" discussions and make certain to use specific question stems in these same daily discussions.
*Think it's a brief method of communicating information using both visual and auditory learning styles.
* I also think it might be useful to use for reteach and at stations.

12/6/2015 22:37:34Planning/Collaborating with others not on our campus.

Finding time to visit other classrooms.
Diann PriceCollaborate with teachers outside of Smith as well as within Smith but at a different grade level. Innovative

12/6/2015 21:54:06different ways to answer questions not just paper/pencil

"investigate" vocabulary
Glennapossibly using this for homework or as a way for student groups to show workI like this mode of communication

12/7/2015 18:16:19Collaboration within our school and with other successful campuses was really powerful. Drawing on their expertise and successes to make ourselves, our kids, and our campus more successful.
Secondarily, focusing on the vocabulary of our learners like Mrs. Hill has been concentrating on. Having them use the vocabulary, search for it, refer to it and really know it.
Jenny HugheyI have been very fortunate to have Mrs. Wilson as my mentor teacher, but will definitely spread out and learn from other teachers on the campus as well. Hopefully at some point I can visit with others at different campuses, but realize Mrs. Wilson is my strongest source and most available and eager to share. I have found this to be an oddity among teachers (during the social studies district planning).Love it!

12/6/2015 22:58:49I find that leaders on the grade level teams are using practices that are producing results based on the beginning of our school year up to recent days.
In addition to paper and pencil, vocabulary can and should be learned through other methods. Acting, drawing, creating rhymes, songs, etc. will reinforce learning, understanding and usage of vocabulary.
Marian PryorI will communicate with teachers from different grade levels to find out how I can reinforce the vocabulary learning in their classrooms. Any specific suggestions?Much better than written communication, for me. I don't have assume the tenor of the information. Also, I love learning and communicating through visuals much more than emails and so on.

12/8/2015 20:53:51It showed me the gap as to how Smith is comparing to other schools in the district. We have to push harder and smarter! Melody BreyMore collaboration with my team and collaborate with other schools as well.I really loved it! Will you please make a video for us on how to make our own?
11
12/7/2015 13:29:311). observing other grade level teachers
2). collaborating with teacher's from other schools
R. WilsonI am going to observe Mrs. WilsonI think it was very unique. I like the convenience factor; allowing us to view it on our own time.
12
12/6/2015 22:42:55I want to focus on helping students progress this year through the use of data and collaboration with teachers and schools that are experiencing success in meeting students' needs. Rachel AndersonI will visit classrooms and collaborate with teachers who are seeing great gains both in our school and at other campuses. Through instructional rounds and conversation about best practices that promote student gains, I hope to encourage and help facilitate teacher's use of these effective strategies. I am particularly focused on providing support for teachers as they begin small group instruction. Additionally, I want to better use data to target instruction for my reading center students so that they will experience greater acceleration through our intervention time. I love it and see how useful this tool will be to create a professional learning forum without adding a meeting time. It's so efficient and yet allows for interaction. It would be nice to have a forum discussion feature so we chat about our learning following the movie. I also see how children would be highly motivated through this format and could be used as another direct teacher instruction station within a rotation. So many possibilities!
13
12/8/2015 12:34:491. Continuing to ask myself the question: "Are my students learning?" though the collection and analyzing of data.
2. How will I respond to the data and do something different to help my students understand the concepts better
Rebekah Williams- Setting up and Implementing my small group instruction
- Seeking out ways to really emphasize vocabulary through instruction and the learning/practice of the students.
I think it is different, and a very useful form of communication.
14
12/6/2015 22:57:08The data comparison for my grade level, and a goal I can implement to have continual process. Sharon MaloneI will take advance to checking with another teacher to observer
small group transition.
Visit with students to set goals for raising the bar.
This is the best I really think It's a great communication tool.
15
12/7/2015 16:52:17I felt that using the data to form our small groups is extremely important.
Also using the data to create a spiral for information through morning warm ups, and meeting with other teachers to expand our thinking.
Shelby BatemanI will print out the data sheets for my students and use the information to better form my small groups, as well as use the data to start filling in the gaps that my students had from the year previous.I like the set up of movenote, it seems fairly easy to use. I could use this to record myself teaching a lesson. Maybe this could be a way to still be in the classroom while we are out for training's.
16
12/7/2015 13:52:39I think that it is important to use each other's strengths so I enjoyed that you shared things that other teachers do well so that anyone who is struggling with that particular concept has a direction in which to go for help.

I also found the breakdown of the district data by campus to be important because, as you said, the same curriculum is being taught at each campus and this helps us to see where we are in relation to other area schools.
Tammy CooperI will continue to collect data on my students and use that data to drive my instruction. Although the district assessments do not apply directly to my students, I am able to use the process of data driven instruction in my own way.I thought it was an interesting tool and an effective way to send out information.
17
12/8/2015 14:18:30Seeing the data comparison to the district as a whole and then to the individual schools. Tara F. FergusonThis gives me schools and teachers who I can go ask what they did to assist their children that I may try with mine based on their assessments.I like the flexibility to fit my schedule.

12/8/2015 15:15:32reminder of Capacity, Connection, Cohesion, Collaboration
Use our data- talk to those who know- classes who did well
VondaRichardsonData reviewGreat quick, short to the point

12/8/2015 10:45:261. The importance of looking at data to see what the students needs are.
2.. Being open to collaborating with other campuses to see what they are doing to help their students be successful.
WandaContinue working with grade level teacher to see how we can improve instruction for our students.I love it! Teacher can use this as a teaching tools to communicate with students and parents by sharing how to work through math problems, the strategies to use.

12/10/2015 9:24:20My heart hurts. We worked so hard last year to be great and we really had the scores up and the students learning. We went from bottom to top!!

Time to collaborate and share. I wonder if the capacity teams are really breaking down and sharing what they are learning at District level and sharing with their teams/campus.
Lavina PadgettI would like teachers to know that I am resource to help them. I know how to unpack the standards and read data. I would like to meet with them more to help them get through this very critical step.Love it!! Used it last week to share with K-2.

12/10/2015 9:27:49The entire video was most important to me. The sense of URGENCY that it provides is very evident. It is my hope that the staff understands where we are and the suffering that we are experiencing. I also thought it was very important that the teachers who are doing well are praised publicly, and offered as resources, not as a means to leave anyone out, but as a means of "shining a light on it".Tiffany S. LittlejohnI will step up my intentional actions to grow teachers, so that our students will ultimately benefit.I love the idea.
22
12/10/2015 9:43:31The data and how we can improve our student's success.Kemistri TexadaContinue to plan with my team and develop new practices to work with my students.I think it could be really utilized with our staff, team members as well as students at home.
23
12/10/2015 11:51:031. The data from assessments for our campus
2. Collaborating with other teachers from different campuses
Kassundra TatumI will continue to assist teachers in Math in any way that I can.I think it is a useful tool, but I am concerned about the length of time someone may have to sit in order to listen to and read the contents of the video.
24
12/10/2015 15:09:00We are making progress.
There is more progress that needs to be made as we continue this year.
Natasha AlexanderSee how I can support our Math teachers more within my guidance lessons. It is an interesting resource.

12/10/2015 15:23:57First, it was helpful to see second grade scores compared to the district on a bar graph. We fell behind the district in comparison to a 24 to a 39 on Unit 3 Math scores. Mrs. Echols suggested taking a look at the questions and vocabulary and I agree. I think a lot of the 2nd grade students had trouble with vocabulary and understanding some of the questions. I'm eager to see will the scores increase due to Tabor Rotations and more small groups integration.

Also building our network with other teachers is a great idea! I do that now and it is very helpful!
Lakien Lawson I will be spiraling math vocabulary more frequently. I believe by doing a vocabulary recap and fluency facts before each lesson will help. Tabor Rotations is set up this way. We will also be doing more small group activities and have more time to pull our at promise students. I'm eager to see the next unit assessment scores. I love it! Just the fact that I can see a live, well recorded, video AND slides with information is so awesome! Very helpful and easy to follow!!!

12/10/2015 21:37:38Sharing the results, mainly kindergarten results, because it is the next level reflecting some of the students that were previously pre-kindergarten. Also, the overall results from each grade level and the districts expectancy for each grade level.Phyllis PolkI pledge to continue to do my best to assist in our future, the students to thrive to be there best, engaging their hearts and minds.I wasn't sure if this movenote was for paras or not,but it was very informative.
27
12/11/2015 17:19:51The comparison of the performance of our students with the performance of other students in the district.

Getting informed about the teachers on campus that we can reach out to for help and to get ideas of how to bridge the gaps of our students.
Krisonda Barge I will intentionally look at my data and plan based on my students performance. I will spiral and review the skills needed to close the gaps that have shown themselves. This is an excellent tool and new way to communicate. It is another way to keep the audience that you are communicating with engaged.

Analying data and making sure students are learning.
Tony Jenkins II
Identifying individual data to determine if individuals are meeting the standards and if not, spiral lessons to ensure student success.
I like it! I think it is very engaging.
