descriptionThis cover is OK. It's pretty generic in that it doesn't really represent the story in any way. I guess the model could be the heroine. I do like the blending work at the bottom, and I LOVE the typography used for the title. So a little bit of a mixed bag with this one.description

descriptionThis is one of those reviews that is going to be a bit bipolar. On one side of the fence, I enjoyed this one a lot. It was well written and nicely paced. The plot was interesting. There were some twists and turns. A tiny bit of angst. No OW/OM drama. Some hot sex scenes. A great cast of interesting secondary characters. Two (relatively) likable main characters. All wrapped up in a sweet epilogue.

description

That being said I did have a few issues with this one as well...

One, why in the hell did this heroine need to be a virgin? I am a bit tired of the whole "virgin-manwhore" trope. These two share a kiss and maybe one hour of conversation before the hero leaves town for eight years. Of course, during those eight years, he is whoring his way through bunches of women (even married ones). And of course, the heroine stays a shiny virgin. Now she didn't appear to be pining for him or saving herself for him. So why couldn't she have sex as well??

Two, the hero. I actually really liked Chase for the most part. He was pretty much all in from the start and was sweet, sexy and alpha. My issue is that the author kind of tarnishes him a bit with the introduction of details about what he has done for the secret brotherhood. Of course, you can't seduce someone unwilling to be seduced...but eww. It kind of brought my love for the hero down a few notches.

Three, the whole "secret brotherhood" thing was a bit cheesy.

So like I said above even with those little annoyances I still found myself sucked into the story. I'm interested to see the other two brothers get a book and I would actually LOVE to see Luke get a book as well. One thumb and one pinkie finger up from yours truly.description

Emily Bowie is a new author to me, this was my 1st book I have read of hers ... and let me tell ya it will not be the last ... so hooked now. I love the romance, chemistry, off the charts hot steamy scenes, suspense, action, danger all wrapped up into this little book here, I love the cover. Do guys do this lie girls ... find a bad boy (girl) and just get all wrap up in their style, their bad looks, tats, know they are not good for you, but yet that attitude pulls ya in and you just can't knock it? I recall a few bad boys that had my interest in my younger years. lol! memories. any who??! This is the sort of book that will grab you up, pull ya in and make you never wanna put it down until it is over. Can I say when it was over, I was kind of heartbroken 'cause I wanted more from these characters.

Good read

Average read. Sucked me in quick at the start but kind of just drifted off after that. I see so much potential for more but still enjoyed it.

There are two words that Chase never wants to hear again, they hold too many bad painful memories for him of the time of his life he had there. But now Chase was having to take an unexpected trip back to the small town of Three Rivers forcing himself to deal with his past that he thought he would never have to face again.

With the buzz going around the small town about the boy that ran away, Katheryn is literally knocked off her feet when she runs into Chase again. He is scruffy, sexy and covered in tattoos, he just screams bad boy. Upon the encounter, he appears to have forgotten who she is, but Kat could never forget. Unknown to others when he left all them years ago he took a piece of her heart along with him.
But as they start to reconnect, Kat is sucked into his world that is full of secrets, lies and corruption. But when things turn bad Chase is forced to choose between love with Katheryn or the life that he worked so hard to be able to achieve himself.

Recklessly Mine is book 1 in the Bennett Brothers Series a new series from author Emily Bowie, and my first read from this author.

This book has had me captivated from the start till the very end, I couldn’t put it down and read it in one sitting. I was on the edge of my seat wondering when something was going to happen, because you knew it was only a matter of time. It is packed full with suspense, love, romance and action.
We got to read hot sexy scenes, romantic scenes, heart pounding moments and moments where you would be sitting there thinking, can she go through anymore bad times. This book was filled with twists and turns, and things that you never expect to happen, you will be hooked just for that reason alone.

This to me was even better because we got to read it in Dual POV’s, so we really got to know what the characters were really thinking and feeling. I also think that this also helps us as the readers connect with the characters as well.

I really liked these characters in this book, even before the 8-year time difference you could see that the two main characters would have a connection, it’s just a shame they missed 8 years of being together, but at least we got some action when he arrived! But along with the great main characters we have some really brilliant secondary characters that stand out just as well in this story such as Chase’s two brothers, Kat’s best friend and even Jewel (or Ruby) maybe even a cheeky little story from Luke. I’d love to read their stories and see what we learn about them.

Chase’s early life was something he couldn’t wait to be away from. The night upon hearing his fate of whether he would finally get away, he spends it with Kat. After helping her get away from school Jock, who pushes himself onto her. Kat and Chase immediately feel a connection, but that ends the moment he leaves. We get to see Chase as two different people in this book, we see him as Powerful, confident CEO. A place in which he has earned and got himself there and didn’t fall into the bad footsteps that he learnt from his parents. He gets love, and support from his aunt and uncle, and cousins, which to him are his parents and brothers. They help change him and stop him from becoming his Parents, so he changes his name legally. But once Chase comes back to Three rivers, even though he is still confident and sexy as ever, he walls slowly start to break down especially when it comes to Katheryn. She makes him want things he never wanted. He doesn’t want to share her, he wants to protect her, love her and hold her and would be willing to bring her into his life, and trust her unconditionally. From the moment, they reunite you can see the calm that comes over him just from being in her presence.
Katheryn, was new to the town of Three Rivers but has always loved it there. School life changed for her the night Chase rushed into her life and then unexpectedly left, but him coming back made something spark inside her again. Kat loves her job and what she does, but her dream is to start a beauty school in the continually growing town, but funds are stopping it from becoming a dream come true, but she is determined to do it on her own. Chase brings out a side of her she never knew existed. Together they are hot, and their connection is undeniable. But threats are being made, and unfortunately Katheryn has now become the main target. Can chase protect her enough so no harm comes to her, or will it be too late? With everything that Kat goes through she only seems to get stronger and more confident in herself and her love for Chase. It brings them closer and more determined than ever to be together.

I’m so glad these characters get a HEA, and that we get a brilliant epilogue that ties everything together!

This has been a brilliant story full of, action, suspense, romance and love and has you hooked from the start. I cannot wait to read Book 2 in the Bennett Brothers Series Recklessly Forbidden

Chase is just the best hero! I totally feel for him. He’s had such a crappy upbringing with his parents. I love his bad boy vibe but that he isn’t the popular one. He isn’t the guy that everyone likes and wants to be which is a HUGE difference from most books. Books are normally about Mr. Wonderful… the quarterback and head cheerleader type of thing. With Recklessly Mine, you should expect the unexpected!

I love seeing small town living through the characters eyes. Kat is such a sweet, southern girl. The bonfire on the farm just brings me back! Kat is a fantastic main character. She’s honest and loyal, yet, she is just a country girl so she can have fun with the rest of them. She’s innocent but still naughty. She has dreams and really tries to achieve them. Instead of crying and saying she can’t do something, she ponders ways around that. I just think that’s a really admirable trait in a person.

Kat and Chase have some pretty intense chemistry. They meet pretty much right when Kat needs him the most. I can see Chase as a bit of a hero due to this. They might only know each other for a short amount of time but sometimes that is all you need. Their scenes were hot and strong! I just loved how sweet Chase is. After he knows what he wants, he goes for it! He’s relentless.

Recklessly Mine seriously shocked me! I got to that ending and did a double take! I did NOT see that coming! It was so much more suspenseful than I was thinking! I love a good romantic suspense!

I am a beta reader for Emily Bowie. Even though I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I will leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions. I would never give a false or inaccurate account of a book. These are my thoughts!

This is the first book I have read from this author and I am blown away. This book is the first in the Bennett Brothers series. This story had me at the edge of my seat the whole entire time. This book is so addicting. This story has it all love, suspense, betrayal, and very hot romance. It only took me a full day to devour this amazing story.

This amazing love story starts off when Katheryn and Chase were just in high school. She was the new girl to the town of Three Rivers. She found herself as one of the popular girls. She also is sweet and very beautiful inside and out. She goes to a party with her friends and she runs into the most handsome guy she has ever seen. He helps her up and she instantly feels a connection with him. Her new friends tell her that his name is Chase and to stay away from him. Katheryn’s night turns for the worse and Chase is there to rescue her. They share a kiss and then he disappears without a trace. It has been eight years and now Katheryn has made some major changes since she was in high school. She now has a job that she loves. She is also saving up her money to start a new future for herself. When she thinks she has her life on track she runs into a hard wall of a man:Chase. She feels that connection again but he is not the same guy she remembers from high school. He is rude and covered in tattoos. Katheryn still believes that the guy from high school is still there somewhere. Can she bring him back? She wants to know why he is here after all these years and she starts to find the reason and she might be in danger. Will she find the Chase that she has deep feelings for or did that Chase leave for good?

Chase had a very hard life when he was a child. He wanted to get out of this horrible town and start over. He goes to a party to crash but instead he crashes into the beautiful Katheryn. He could feel she was different from the other girls her knew.
He could see something in her eyes he could not explain. He finds himself spending most of the night with this gorgeous girl. He now feels like there is a reason he is here in this crappy town. He heads home happy and wanting to get to know Katheryn more and then all of a sudden his life changes in an instant. Chase is now been gone from that town for eight years now. He has everything that he has ever wanted. He is the CEO to a very popular company. He has worked really hard for what he has and he does not take it for granted. He also finally has a family that loves and supports him. Chase has a new life that he has dreamt about when he was a boy. When he finds out that he has to go back to that town he is very reluctant to go. He has to go back to his hometown Three Rivers for a job. This town stirs up old memories and he wants to get out as soon as he can. He is walking the streets when he runs over a beautiful woman. He is shocked when he finds out that it is Katheryn. He instantly feels that spark he has eight years ago. He is scared of what Katheryn makes him feel so he tries to get rid of her. The heart knows what it wants and his wants her. He ends up falling for her once again. Will his new life be too dangerous for Katheryn? Can Chase protect her from his new life or will it be his old life he needs worry about?

This story is brilliant and had me speechless at certain parts. This story had me hooked from the start. I love that this book is duel points of view. I love reading the man’s point of view through a relationship and see what they go through as well. Also it helps you connect with the characters more. You will fall in love with this couple from the start. Even when they were teens they had a strong connection. Katheryn had a lot of things that happen to her and she gets stronger with each problem she has to face. Also you can feel that their love for eachother grows through the book. She is a beautiful character that will do anything for the people she cares about. Chase is the hero and I loved how much he loves Katheryn. He is the type of man that would do anything to see her happy and safe. The ending of this book had me shocked and I loved it. The epilogue was my favorite and how it all tied together in the end. I can not wait to read the rest of the amazing and addicting series.

Recklessly Mine (Bennett Brother Book 1) by Emily Bowie is the first book in the Bennett Brothers series. This story is about coming home and facing the past head on. This story has a little bit of everything in it, from suspense to mystery to of course, hot sexy romance. You will love how this author has created characters that are real to life and will pull at your heart strings. You will love how this author has a way of taking these characters and bring them to life and making you feel like you are right there with them. These characters will take you on a roller coaster ride of various emotions that will leave you wanting more for them. Chase Bennett is a man who has not always had the easiest life. He has worked hard to change who he was and not he is the CEO of a business. Coming back to Three Rivers wasn't something that he wanted to do but when his brothers calls him in, he can't refuse. What will happen when he is forced to deal with things from his past that have been buried long ago?

Katheryn Torres is a young woman whose dream is to open her own hairdressing school. What will happen when she starts hearing gossip that the boy who ran all those years ago is back? When she runs into him, will he recognize her? Seeing him now brings back memories she has tried to forget. Chase and Katheryn's relationship has been one of attraction at first sight. But they do seem to fight it. In the beginning, she is not sure what they mean to each other but as the story goes will it become plan as day to her? What will happen when she is slowly sucked into his world of corruption? Will she run from his family secrets and lies? When he is forced to chose, her or the life he has fought for, what choice will he make? These two characters are strong characters from the beginning to the end of this story. You will fall in love with them. She knows what she wants and is willing to do what she needs to get it. He is strong and confident, he knows that he doesn't want to go back, he has fought to hard to get to where he is. But there is a softer side to him that only she seems to be able to bring out. Is it possible that they have a second chance? Will his past keep them apart? Find out what happens to these two as they take you through many twists and turns throughout this story. You will never see some things coming. Just when you think there might be a happy ending, you turn the page and bam, you question will they ever find their HEA.

This is my first story by Emily Bowie but it certainly won't be the last. I love how she is able to create a story that will hold my attention. Emily lives in a small town in Western Canada with her husband and two children. When she is not writing, you can find her being physically active, reading a good book and making digital scrapbooks. You will love how this author has created a story that you will not want to put down. It is a fast paced story that will keep you engaged until the end and you will not want to miss what happens. The twists and turns make the story flow right along with the characters. I highly suggest this story as I know you will love reading about these two characters as much as I have.

Recklessly Mine is book one in the Bennett Brothers Series by Emily Bowie. In this book in the series we follow Chase and Katheryn as they suffer love and loss under the Texas sun.
Katheryn is a character that really screamed independent to me. She did not want to rely on anyone if she could handle it herself. Most the time she seems timid, but when you make her mad her inner strength really shines. Even when having to rely on someone else to make her dream come true, she wants to make sure everyone knows that she is not just getting something for nothing. The writer really did a splendid job with this writing and outline of the character and put a lot of thought into how she needed to be portrayed.
Chase Bennett, oh man what to say about Chase, there is nothing hotter than someone who can kick butt in business and for love, but in the same story be doing jobs like habitat for humanity. Not to mention when he steals your heart by being hung up on the same girl from years ago, but also make you want to smack him for the things he does that he doesn't necessarily mean in a bad way. I do not know how these authors do it with getting into the right mind set of a guy, but I completely applaud this author!
I absolutely enjoyed this book. Everything pulled me in, from the way they fight so hard to be together to the suspense of seeing how it all plays out. This author certainly knows how to put together a great book and keep you hooked from beginning to end. Everything in the writing is put together just right to get you the most out of every situation. I can not wait to get more from this family and especially the brothers, who had a field day ribbing their brother for falling in love. I have a feeling the next in the series will be even better! Now go out and get this book or you will regret it!

Recklessly Mine – Emily Bowie

5 Stars Review

Recklessly Mine by Emily Bowie is a fabulously written story. Chase is an incredibly sexy tattooed bad boy, every woman’s perfect fantasy boyfriend, and he doesn’t disappoint! This book is very original and tells a story about a love that is ever lasting and that can conquer anything. Chase and Katheryn have one intense journey and it was definitely a fun read!

Chase and Katheryn met at a high school party where they instantly connected, hoping to continue to get to know one another but Chase disappears after that night. Katheryn has never forgotten him or the time they shared together after all these years. Now 8 years later he’s back. And in that time they have both changed so much but one thing still remains, their connection.

As they get reacquainted they are able to catch up on what they missed out on, Chase really turned his life around after leaving and Katheryn was able to open up her very own salon. However, Katheryn has bigger dreams, which require money, and she ends up finding herself in a sticky situation. Thankfully much like in the past she has Chase, her knight in shinning armor to save her. Will their love be able to withstand all life has to throw at them or will they succumb to all the pressure?

I found myself really invested in this story from the beginning and I honestly couldn’t put it down, I had to read it in one sitting. It’s intense, complex, emotional, and unexpected. It keeps you on your toes waiting to find out how it all plays out. I look forward to continuing the series with Recklessly Forbidden once released!

Recklessly Mine (Bennett Brothers Book 1)
By: Emily Bowie
5 out of 5 stars

The story Recklessly Mine (Bennett Brothers Book 1) by Emily Bowie is a romantic suspense book. This is the love story of Chase and Katheryn. They first meet the night before he left the town of Three Rivers. When he left he took a piece of Katheryn’s heart with him. Now he's back and Katheryn’s life may never be the same.

This is an amazing story. It has action, danger, and romance all bundled up in one. It is a story I loved reading and has awesome characters. Katheryn and Chase’s story is complicated by both dangerous situations and people. Katheryn is a hairdresser that wants to start a new business. She is someone who is determined to make her dreams come true. Then she bumps into the man that caught her attention years ago. Their meeting is not what Katheryn would have hoped for however once they start spending more time around each other their relationship grows. Then strange things start to happen. Not knowing the source Katheryn doesn’t seem to take things too seriously. Then a situation arises that has Katheryn sucked into a world of darkness. Will she survive? How will she react when she finds out the secrets Chase has been keeping?

Life had a way of trying to knock down Chase however with the right support he was able to turn his life around and become a successful businessman. When he returns to Three Rivers he quickly begins to feel the same emotions of long ago when he first met Katheryn. With each meeting he finds himself drawn to her and is very protective of her. Chase, however, has secrets. His life is sometimes not his own and is called upon to help others with problems. Now his world has started to effect Kathryn. What life will Chase choose, the one he dreams of with Katheryn or the one that he has worked so hard to achieve? How far would Chase go to protect her?

This book takes a lot of turns down roads that are dark, however, the love that both Chase and Katheryn have for each other is like a beacon of light, showing the way out. This book had me on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen next. It also tells a wonderful story how two people realize that they were always meant for each other. You will be rooting for Chase and Katheryn to get their HEA! This is the first book I have read by the author and can’t wait to read the next book in this series. This story does have violence and adult situations which include steamy love scenes. It would be for those 18 years of age or older.

Recklessly Mine followed two individuals, Kat and Chase, who lived in a town in Texas. They were different in every sense. From the way they grew up, family treatment, and friends. But they were not easily swayed when it came to their opinions. Chase was the rebel of the town who was always picked on for being different. Kat was the new girl in town. She was friendly and her approachable personality lead her into the popular clique in school. At a party, she was supposed to get set up with the infamous Luke Rogers. But falling into the arms of Chase was fate. Their connection put fire in fireworks.
description

However, other's opinions including her best friend Cassy tried swaying her in the opposite direction. Years later they fell back into each other's lives. Kat and Chase owed it to themselves to find out where their attraction would lead them all while dealing with family troubles, a new brotherhood, and financial struggles.

Emily Bowie is the queen of romantic suspense. She is able to attract readers with hard not to love characters while having readers guessing what could possibly be next. Just when you think a happily ever after is near, there is another obstacle. Emily proves that love isn't easy, so if you want it be prepared to fight for it!

"Maybe I deserve a scar, as a reminder of how I felt before, to serve as a reminder that love is precious and not to be taken for granted."

This second chance romance was nothing short of fantastic. It gets your attention by the first chapter and gets you right in the feels. It's sexy, suspenseful, and seductive.

Recklessly Mine (Bennett Brothers #1) by Emily Bowie
Rated 5 stars

Chase grew up in Three Rivers, a small town from the wrong side of the track where nobody likes him. He only had one encounter with a girl who he never forgot. Then he left town. Eight years later he is on top of the world. He is CEO of a construction company and lives life as he sees fit. He Is very grateful his aunt and uncle took him in and away all those years ago. He was able to move on and loves his new family. Now one of his brothers ,Tyson, is asking him to go back to Three Rivers as a favor and look into his rival, Luke Rogers. No reason or explanation but he calls in a favor. So Chase goes back. Everything and everyone is the same. He's treated the same or worse than before. He runs into HER on his first day back. Now he isn't only there for his brother he is there to protect her from Luke. Chase does have secrets he cannot share with Kathryn and his life isn't in this small town anymore. Should he still pursue her?
Kathryn moved to town in high school and met her best friend, Cassy. They have been best friends ever since. At a party one night she met this guy, Chase , and has not been able to forget him. Now she owns the beauty shop in town. She is looking to expand to a school. It is struggling getting funding. Like Rogers offered to help her but in return she does him a favor. She sees Chase that same day and now her life is being changed

I Really gobbled this book up. It was interesting at the beginning then really picked up once I got to Chase and Kathryn meeting again. Chase really grew as a character. He made many changes and they are for the better. I wish he would have explained to Kathryn about the society. I feel she just blindly accepted whatever he told her and he skimmed over what the society is. I just wonder if she would accept that. I love the relationship between Chase and Kathryn. He is so gentle with her and it awesome when he gets all googley-eyed at her. His brothers sure do love to hassle him especially about Kathryn. Reading that puts a smile on my face. Brotherly Love! Great story with lots of love, a bit of humor, some intrigue and family craziness.

Recklessly Mine (Bennett Brothers #1) by Emily Bowie

5 out of 5 stars
This is a Romantic Suspense and is told from both characters POV. But Due to mature subject matter, such as explicit sexual situations and coarse language, this story is not suitable for anyone under the age of eighteen.

This is the first book that I have read by Ms. Bowie and it’s also the first book in the Bennett Brothers series. I really enjoyed Ms. Bowie and she has a unique way of telling her story that has you stepping into her world and the characters are well developed and intriguing.
Chase never wants to hear two words again Three Rivers. The place holds far too many painful memories of the life he had. But when Chase has to take an unexpected trip back to the small town, he is forced to deal with parts of his past he thought he had buried forever.

Katheryn’s heart skips a beat when she is literally knocked off her feet by Chase. She is pulled into the buzz around town about the boy who ran away from town all those years ago. He’s scruffy, sexy, and covered in tattoos that scream bad boy, with an attitude to match. Although he appeared to have forgotten about their brief encounter, she never could. For when he left all those years ago, he left with a piece of her heart.

As they fall in love, Katheryn is slowly sucked into his world of corruption, family secrets, and lies. Forcing Chase to choose between Katheryn and the life he fought so hard to achieve.
I highly recommend this book and I can’t wait to see what happens next in this awesome series…

Recklessly Mine is book one in the Bennett Brother series by Emily Bowie.

Chase Bennett was happy when he left Three Rivers, glad to see the back of it, he had the worst childhood upbringing. So, when circumstances bring him home he is less than impressed, he is now surrounded once again by all the town gossip, he was the boy from the wrong side of the tracks, with the worst parents and the runaway that no one thought they would see again.

Katheryn has made a name for herself in Three Rivers, built her own business, loves her life, so one day when she bumps into a blast from the past, her whole world is shaken up. Wanting to know why this handsome man has come back to town but wanting to keep her distance at the same time, Katheryn is torn, this boy left with her heart and she does not know if she will ever get it back.

As these two get to know each other, secrets are coming out and danger looms. Chase must make a choice does he choose love or everything he has built since leaving this forsaken place? Will love survive? Will secrets tear them apart? Why did Chase come home?

Emily Bowie has written a brilliant book full of twist and turns that you will not see coming. She has given us two strong characters to get to know, Chase, has turned his life around and doing well but he always remembers that girl from the past, but he does not want her tangled up in his life of dangerous and corruption. Katheryn, knows what she wants in life and will do anything to get it, she has given her heart and wants the man that has it. I want to read more about both these two but also get to know the other Bennett Brothers as I think that all have an exciting story to tell. I rate this book five stars.

Recklessly Mine by Emily Bowie
Five Stars

Recklessly Mine is the first book in the Bennett Brothers Series by Emily Bowie. This is the first book I have read by Emily Bowie, but it will definitely not be the last. I love how descriptive the characters are. Ms. Bowie grabs you by the heart strings and has you rooting for Chase and Kathryn. I was hooked from the very first page. I didn't want it to end.

Chase Bennett left Three Rivers when he was young. He made something of himself becoming CEO of his construction company and the last thing he want to do was return home. He had left that life behind and never wanted to go back. Eight years after leaving town his brothers asked him to come help them out, so he feels he has to go.

Kathryn Torres moved to Three Rivers when she was in high school. While in high school she went to a party with her best friend, Cassy. At the party she met a guy, that she has never been able to forget even though she only seen him once. Now eight years later she owns her own beauty shop that she is looking to expand into a beauty school.

Chase literally runs into Kathryn and she knows he's the same guy from that night long ago. Will he remember her? He looks different now with his tattoos and bad boy attitude, but she could never forget this incredibly sexy man. The attraction between the two is instantaneous. What will happen as this relationship starts heating up.

You really need to read this book if you are looking for hot and steamy with twists and turns added in. I loved this story and look forward to reading future books by Emily Bowie.

Recklessly Mine (Bennett Brothers) written by Emily Bowie
5 stars

I absolutely loved this book and couldn't put it down. It had such unexpected pieces throughout. I loved that it wasn't predictable and that it kept you on your toes trying to piece it together and figure out who was behind the mystery. I'm usually hesitant with small town based stories, because a lot of them have the same premise of everyone knowing one another and having the gossip of the town playing a big role. I loved the familiarity of the characters in the close knit , small town of Three Rivers, but was thrilled it wasn’t based on a lot of the town gossip.

Chase had a horrific childhood growing up. He was always known as the poor kid that was pitied from the wrong side of the tracks. His anger and temper was known to many and once he was finally able to rid himself of Three Rivers he swore he'd never willingly return.

Katheryn aka Kat is working hard to make her dreams of owning a salon school a reality. She finds herself approaching her deadline and running out of time getting the financial backing she needs. When she is deliberating her options she has no idea it will also lead her into a web that will have her facing a past she can't run from.

Should they have left the past in the past? Will they be able to avoid the pain and heartache that is lurking around the corner? Will the lies and secrets destroy them from ever finding happiness?

I'm anxiously awaiting the release of Recklessly Forbidden ~book two of the Bennett Brothers series. I know who I'm rooting to be the lead characters in this book.

Recklessly Mine by Emily Bowie was a dramatic and incredibly brilliant novel. The first novel in The Bennett Brothers series is sexy and dramatic. It will definitely keep you on your toes!

The story is set in Three Rivers, a small city in Texas, and embarks on the story of Chad Bennett and his love interest, Katheryn. The author will take you on a journey from past and present, all the way to the future. The story is rather fast-paced, but it still is am incredible read. If you read this novel, you will not be disappointed!

Katheryn is a local of Three Rivers, and has been in love with the city ever since she was sixteen years old. She’s also had feelings for a certain outcast called Chad Bennett. Her life changes when Chad enters into her life, and you see her flourish and defend herself as a woman. Katheryn is a realistic and relatable character, and is also beautiful on the inside and out.

Chad is one hot alpha! He is strong, powerful and protective of the people that he respects and cares for. Three Rivers treated him like an outcast before because of his childhood, but he has come back stronger and fallen for Katheryn all over again. He will not let anyone or anything stand in his way when he wants something, he is ruthless and determined. I love seeing his character showing his vulnerable side, and his loveable side. I love Chad so much. Such an amazing character.

Emily Bowie did such an amazing job on this novel. It was fast-paced, but it was full of drama, action, and plenty of twist of turns. I simply loved the love between Katheryn and Chad. Five Stars! Brilliant!

Recklessly Mine

By Emily Bowie

Five Star

Recklessly Mine by Emily Bowie is my first book by this author who I definitely fell in love with her writing. I enjoyed it so much!

You get to meet Katheryn aka Kat, and in the beginning of the book she is new in town when she is with her friend, Cassy.  I loved how you got to see the small town feel when it comes to Three Rivers. Katheryn runs into Chase and from the very first second there is a connection. Instant connection. Each of them is wondering about the other.

Fast forward to years later.

Chase in the mind of the people in Three River’s is still that boy who is from the other side of town. He is no good. But they do not know who he is any more. He has changed into a business man, he changed his life and did some good things in his life. Not that he is bragging about any of it. When his brother asks him for a favor he goes back to Three River.

Never in a million years did he think he would see Katheryn so quickly as he comes back and their connection is stronger now. Even with the things they have been through over the years they still have the sparks they had when they were in high school.

I loved this book.

I hated Luke. He can like go somewhere else. I am sure there are going to be other people who feel the same way when it comes to him. You could just tell he was not a good person and you wanted to hate him.

I want to know more about Chase’s brothers. The Bennett brothers were kind of amazing.

Recklessly Mine, book one of the Bennett Brothers series, is written by author Emily Bowie. This is a romantic suspense story. It is the first book I have read by this author and it has sucked me in. This is truly a great start to what I anticipate will be a captivating series.

This story is the possibility of second chances – a chance to know what would happen it different choices were to be made. I liked how the author set the back history for the main characters before delving into the current story. The allure of something else occurring in the background is ever present and truly intriguing.

Katheryn has dreams of something more, but knows that it is just out of grasp. She will do what she needs to do in an effort to succeed and capture what she is seeking. Her character comes across as a strong and goal driven individual.

Chase knows he wants more in life, as presented in the start of the story, and change occurs – but at what cost? He's brought back face-to-face with Katheryn and the feelings are still there, but can he pursue it? Is it worth it?

The way that Emily Bowie ties everything together in this story is well done and had me wishing I had more and more chapters, as I just could not have this story end. I loved it. I cannot wait to see what the next book(s) in the Bennett Brother series hold.

A second chance at having what could have been. What could have been happened the one time they met, sparks flew and an attraction began to form, but he ran. Chase left the town he grew up in, started a new life and was taken in by a family that treated him like he belonged. Now Chase Bennett is at the top.
Katheryn now grown up and trying to open up her business is given a chance to do so, by getting into something she shouldn't. Can love bring the close when everything else is trying to pull them apart?
This book is sexy, suspenseful and incredibly exciting. I love Chase and how much he loves her. I love her strength. together they make an intoxicating story that will have you begging for more.

Recklessly Mine by Emily Bowie is the first book in the Bennett Brothers Series and it's amazing! I could not put the book down once I had started it. This series and these brothers could be the next best thing! I can't wait to see what happens next!

Recklessly Mine starts with Chase and Kat who honestly have chemistry that is off the charts! The two quite literally run into each other in town. Kat is the simply sweet southern belle, and I absolutely loved her! Chase is one of the town bad boys who left and is now back in town, and now that he's seen Kat, he realizes how dumb he's been. She's always held a special place in his heart, but he didn't realize how special that place actually was. He's ready to make her his, but is Kat ready to be Chase's? Does she even want to be his? Chase's family has other ideas though, will his family be able to destroy them and their relationship before it even starts? What happens when some secrets are finally out in the open? Can their relationship handle it?

I'm so looking forward to seeing where this series goes! I love everything about it! The characters, the story line, and even the town are what amazing books are made of! I can't wait to see which Bennett Brother is next!

In A small town like Three Rivers everyone knows everyone else’s business. Chase is known as a boy boy with a bad upbringing. His parents are trash so he must be. Katheryn is new to town and when Chase saves her from a bad situation at a high school party. They have an instant connection, little did they know that would be Chase’s last night in Three Rivers.

Eight years later Chase is a wealthy CEO of his own business and has to go back to Three Rivers to do a favor for someone that he can’t say no to. When walking down the street Katheryn walks right into him. They feel the connection instantly and start seeing each other. Katheryn owns her own salon and wants to open a cosmetology school but is having trouble finding the funds. Once again Chase is is saving Katheryn from bad situations, but it may be her connection to Chase that gets her into trouble.

Recklessly Mine By Emily Bowie (Bennett Brothers book 1) is a romantic suspense. The author did an amazing job writing about characters that you will love in love with and a storyline that keep you guessing what was going to happen next. I look forward to her next book.

Chase Bennett hasn't had the easiest life, his parents reputation in his small town of Three Rivers follows him around. He's always unfailry judged because of who they are and not by his own character. Fortunately as an older teenager he moved to another town where he gained new parents and brothers. Chase worked hard and eventually became a wealthy CEO, a far cry from his days of wearing old clothes and walking around with holes in shoes. He never thought he would step foot in Three River's again until his brother asks him for a favor.
Katheryn Torres is a hairdress with a dream is to open her own hairdressing school. Problem is banks aren't giving her the loans that she desperately needs to fund this dream. Will she turn to the man who tried to attack her in high school or will the town bad boy who saved her that just resurfaced in town be her knight and shining armor?
I loved Recklessly Mine! Chase has a huge heart but unfortunately a lot of people dont see it. He's incredibly sexy and mysterious . Katheryn is sweet and innocent and I enjoyed their chemistry. This is book 1 in the Bennett Brother series and I can't wait to read more.

This book has so much potential, but it hit some of my pet peeve that it sort of tick me off.

Chase grew up in Three Rivers, a town that has never been good to him. But he had left it all behind and became a made man. Rich, successful and influential as well as hordes of women wanting to get into bed with him. But one favor shook his world, as he had to return to the town that held painful memories as well as secrets that felt like betrayals.

Katheryn is new in town when she met the guy that she felt the one that got away. The one person she considered she connected with, the person whom she felt a jolt of electricity whenever they touched.

So, it might have not just pet peeve but these are the things that didn't sit well with me.

The Suspense
The brotherhood felt like old for me. *eye roll* It's just a bunch of favors that started out simple and escalates as time goes by, but that the favors are were never easy but not too complicated. However, I felt that it would be something more, but the investigation was just so easy. It never made me feel I'm on the edge of my seat or that innate feeling that makes me antsy to satisfy my curiosity. Everything was laid out for me to see.

Chase
The troubled guy that makes you fall. It's just that all I read was he came from a difficult home, but I would rather feel it. Plus, the whole CEO thing. Yeah, big shot. Whatever. I've read it the first time. I felt like reading it second and third time feels like shoving it in my face. I know, so what? I've never felt he was one, though.

Katheryn
She met the guy for a night, and really, I don't get the whole virgin thing. It's just that she lived a boring, average life before Chase. No excitement, no nothing. And to think she was the normal, sweet one.

It's just that the things that tick me off didn't make me enjoy my reading journey. It also made me think of a blog post I needed to write soon. I mean, ah, is there a formula a sex scene should follow? It's just not this book though, but that it made me feel 'should I skip this part or not because I might miss something.

Yeah.

P.S.

Recklessly mine by Emily Brown This is a new author to me great recommendation.

Yet again Chase finds his life in bits again wondering what will happen now he literally runs into Kat.  Unable to forget her or the feelings she has stirred up inside him.  He goes to a party he’s not supposed to be at to see if he can see her again.  Hearing a scream  he goes to the woods to see what happening only to find Kat in a position she not best happy about. After saving Kat he offers her a lift home they get to his truck and moments occur but cassie comes to take her home.  Something deep inside Chase tells him to follow them, the train tracks are ahead and there's a train coming Cassie and Kats car doesn't slow down.  Do they make it?  Chase only has seconds to glance at their car before he's blindfolded. Who has Chase and what's going to happen?

Kat comes from a massive family frustrated she can't get some time alone in the family home she heads to her friend house. Getting ready for the party at one of the most popular boys in the school's farm house, Cassie explains that Luke is going to ask Kat out tonight.  Wanting to ask Cassie about the other boy she has seen but doesn't know his name Kat goes for a walk with Luke.  Not expecting events to unfold as they do Kat gets scared and screams for help,  Not expecting the one person she can't get from her mind Chase saves her.  After expecting a lift home from him she finds she can't get in the truck just yet so asks to sit on the tailgate.  Feelings stir her head starts to make sense again she gives Chase a kiss on the cheek to thank him.  Her tummy goes funny feels stir then all Kat can hear is Cassie shouting her name then she shouting things at Chase.  Kat ends up going home with Cassie but she can't stop thinking if Chase,  but will she ever see him again?  Will she ever find out what happened to him?  Will he ever see her again?
