Online voucher code site reports that shoppers still choose to use cash and cards

New research conducted by DiscountVouchers.co.uk, the money saving website, has revealed that British shoppers are not yet at home using their mobile phones to pay for shopping and goods. Brits would still much rather use cash or credit and debit cards says the specialist website.

Of UK shoppers polled, in excess of 70% of people confessed that they do not like to use their phone as a payment mechanism, still preferring cards and cash – the security aspect of phones being cited as a major concern.

Doug Scott, managing director of DiscountVouchers.co.uk, says: “People obviously still do not feel at home using their phones as a tool for shopping and paying, though this need not necessarily be the case. Security levels on phones are now quite high so people don’t really need to worry quite so much.”
