The sparkling isn’t over yet.
Six screenplays for short films featuring characters from the Twilight universe have been chosen as part of a project called “The Storytellers: New Voices of Twilight Saga.”

Each script had to focus on one character from The Twilight Saga: The Official Illustrated Guide and take place before Bella (Kristen Stewart in the films) arrived in the town of Forks, Wash.
The scripts were selected by Twilight author Stephenie Meyer, Lionsgate, Women In Film, Facebook and Volvo. The project will now select directors to turn each of the screenplays into a 5-10 film to be released on Facebook.
One character who proved particularly popular among the contest winners was Alice Cullen, played in the successful film franchise by Ashley Greene; the adoptive sister of Edward Cullen was featured in three of the selected scripts. Among the other winners, one script focused on vampire Benjamin; one chose Edward’s adoptive father, Carlisle Cullen; and one used Volturi guard Jane.
The writers had to be female and at least 13 years of age. The screenplays can be downloaded here.
