From the Head

It has been lovely to see so many parents at our Christmas events this year: the excellent EYFS and Lower School Nativity performances and the Upper School Carol Service last night. I feel very proud of the children: their enthusiasm, willingness and skills. It was a privilege to see the children perform and participate, be it singing, reading, demonstrating their excellent grasp of the French language or playing in the string ensemble. A big thank you to Miss Beacom and all the staff who worked so hard to put together such wonderful opportunities for our children to gain confidence when performing.

I am grateful also to parents for your generous donations to Demelza, our chosen charity, in the retiring collections. The school has thought about others and shown generosity and kindness, which is fitting for this Christmas season.

I wish you all a peaceful and joyful Christmas season and every good wish for the New Year. Thank you so much for the cards and gifts you kindly gave me.

The Spring term begins for pupils on Tuesday 8 January at the normal times. I look forward to seeing you in the New Year, have a wonderful, relaxing break with your families. See you in 2019

Kind regards, Miss Holloway

FRSC NEWS

Match Funding

Many large companies offer match funding benefits to employees - where they match a figure your chosen charity raises - up to £700 per time. We'd love to hear from anyone whose company offers this benefit, as we are a registered charity and could therefore increase the revenue from the events we run enormously. If just a handful of parents stepped forward it would make a massive difference. Your HR department will be able to confirm if your company participates in the scheme - most large banks do, as well as other sectors.

Volunteers Needed!

Please see any member of the FRSC or Mrs Farrell on the gate if you would like to find out more. Anyone willing to offer help, services or donations, please see Mrs Farrell for further information.
