Hey folks,

Another deprecation warning, this time for BuildbotOutputFormatter. We've broadly moved away from using buildbot-format output to using chart JSON[0] which we recommend as a supported alternative. We'll plan to remove it on Feb 29, 2016.

Some users on the infra side are still using the old telemetry.py[1] script that depends on --output-format=buildbot. We're working on removing it as well. Please avoid using it: if you're using recipes, you can instead use api.chromium's[2] supported mechanisms for running perf tests.

As always, any questions, please speak up.

Thanks,
Ethan

As external contributer, I cannot access the internal cloud. So I've used --use-live-sites flag.
e.g.
tools/perf/run_benchmark smoothness.key_silk_cases --browser=release --use-live-sites --also-run-disabled-tests

Will it still work for external contributer?

It should.

Yes. This announcement does not affect the workflow for using run_benchmark locally.
