A Medieval Encounter by Aubrey Wynne
I enjoyed this Merlinian tale. The story is so interesting, easy to follow, very vivid, and wonderfully written. I was transported right into the story. I could feel every breath, caress, flutter in my heart, and the warmth of love right along with the characters. I cannot wait for the continuation of this story! At the end, I exclaimed my happiness. You will fall in love with Rolf and Melissa and wish for their happiness and for Merlin’s curse to be broken. I LOVE ROLF!

I've only read P.C. Zick's "Behind the Altar," in this set, but if all the books are like this one it has to be an amazing collection!

Here is my review of P.C. Zick's, "Behind the Altar."

Leah Bryant has a perfect life. Engaged to the local minister, Jacob Davis, in the town of Victory, Florida, Leah spends her spare time running "Soup's On," where she feeds and cares for the local homeless people in the area. When the church board votes to stop funding the charity, Leah's life is thrown into chaos. Leah's passion is fueled by the knowledge of what it was like to be homeless. Jacob's mother, Geraldine found Leah on the streets as a teenager and welcomed her into her own home years ago. For all appearances, Leah has been truly blessed.

The same day Leah learns of the decision from the church board prohibiting the use of the church kitchen to cook for the homeless, Leah meets Jacob's brother, Dean, as he rumbles into town on his Harley. Leah finds herself inexplicably drawn to Dean. Between his muscles and tattoos, there is an intensity that overwhelms Leah, leaving her breathless. Jacob has never had this effect on her.

Dean feels the attraction to Leah also. Her natural goodness and compassion for people are a tonic that feeds his soul. The harder they struggle to stay apart, the more they are drawn together experiencing a passion neither has ever known.

Nevertheless, there is a dark secret that threatens to derail the Davis family just waiting to explode this lover's triangle into a million pieces!

Recommendation:

I don't know about you, but I adore a romance that is filled with magic, especially when it is obvious that the two characters belong together. "Behind the Altar," explodes with sexual tension and sizzles with passionate ardor.

There is just something about a man riding into town on a Harley that gets a woman thinking about romance. Of course, you know he is a bad-boy from the start. He's riding a Harley! With very little imagination, I could picture "Dean," being played by the handsome, Jeffrey "Dean" Morgan, who is the good-looking private investigator, currently playing on the television series, "The Good Wife." I can't help but ponder if P. C. Zick had the same image in mind when she created the character of Dean. One can only hope.

This story revolves around small town America, with all of the incongruities and biases that exist in society on full display. The book is not suitable for younger readers as there is sexual content present. However, I found the love story between Leah and Dean to be real and honest. I thought there was a moral to this love story, about never judging a book by its cover, that was woven throughout the story line, but I will let you be the judge of that.

I look forward to following the life of these characters as they evolve and heal from the tragedies and rewards of true love in the upcoming Behind the Love Series. Book 2, "Behind the Curtain," is the next book in the series.

My Rating:

Character Believability: 4
Flow and Pace: 5
Reader Engagement: 5
Reader Enrichment: 4
Reader Enjoyment: 5
Overall Rate: 4.5 out of 5 stars

Conflicted On 5th Avenue
Author Abbie St. Claire
I was given the honor to beta read this book for the author. In return I would give my honest feed back and review.
Abbie St. Claire has done a beautiful job once again with her new series. This book is wonderfully written and I loved it. Ian is a widower who is living his life day to day . He lost the love of his life. Now a new opportunity is presented him. He is conflicted to take it. How will this affect his son? Chelsea is a wounded soul. Betrayed by the one who you should be able trust with all your soul. As this story progresses these two learn they have to let the past go in order to move forward. They must learn to communicate, love and trust once again. This story is so full of emotion and you can connect with them at some point in the book. You get angry, cry, laugh and get worried as to what is going to happen next. I can not wait for the next installment of this story. I want to see how Ian and Chelsea grow and flourish as a couple. Abbie has really out done herself with this book

Conflicted on 5th Avenue

Handsome Talented Doctor
Beautiful Next Door Neighbor
Love And Romance on 5th Avenue

STORY LINE:

Author Abbie St. Claire has created an emotional novel of need, insecurities, and love. Widower Dr. Ian Briggs is raising his son, Oliver, trying to deal with his wife's death, and has a thriving surgical career. He will do anything for his small son including moving from Los Angeles, California to Dallas, Texas to insure his son is longer bullied in school.

Chelsie Peterson, divorced, is raising her son, Ty, with little help from his absent father. She is insecure with her femininity as her ex-husband undermined her emotionally and verbally.

As fate would have it, handsome talented Dr. Briggs buys a house on 5th Avenuel which happens to be two doors from Chelsie. The attraction is hot, steamy, and fast. The problems are many and varied.

Come along as Ian and Chelsie journey through the pitfalls of romance, insecurities, balancing careers, and raising children.

CHARACTERS, PLOTTING, AND DEVELOPMENT:

Ms. St. Claire created a story-line that felt very real. Ian has issues dealing with commitment after his wife's death. He has kept his sexual life separate from his everyday life. Chelsie is devastated when her husband leaves her for a younger woman. She has no self-confidence and is insecure in herself as a woman.

"...You'll want more, and I'll end up disappointing you, and you'll leave just like they all do. The only person I can be true to ---is myself."

Ms. St. Claire skillfully leads Ian and Chelsie through the many pitfalls, misunderstanding, and their children's emotions and brought them through to become independent secure people.

Ms. St. Claire created love scenes that burn and smoke. Ian and Chelsie's sexual attraction was hot, steamy and fast as Ian, a skilled lover, leads Chelsie to understand she is a beautiful, desirable, sexual woman.

"You're beautiful, sexy, and more of woman than I've ever known. One day, you'll believe me when I say it."

The plot and pacing was spot on as Ms. St. Claire brought all the many elements together in this book and created a cohesive story. The story-line kept my attention as I watched Ian and Chelsie come to terms with the issues and situations in their life.

RECOMMENDATION:

If you do not like steamy sex scenes, this book may not be for you. I recommend this book for young adults and adults due to sexual content. The story has a bit of a cliff hanger, however book 2 is available and picks up the story-line. This book will appeal to anyone that likes a steamy romance with a good story-line.

I received this book from the author in return for an honest book review.

Books reviews of any novel are dependent on the book review author's opinion; all book reviews on line under my name are my opinion.

I've only read "Behind the Altar" by P.C. Zick from this box set and must highly recommend it. It is a romance with excellently drawn characters and marvellous chemistry between them.
I was surprised to see that the author had chosen a church as the setting for her first romance novel, but given the strength of her other writing I gave the book a try. Surprisingly enough the setting worked very well.
Leah, our main character, runs a soup kitchen and is engaged to the minister. Her focus is to keep the kitchen for the homeless running. Once a homeless herself this is no empty charity for her but an important project. Then her future brother-in-law shows up and the mutual attraction causes further disruption to her life, as does the reading of the will of the late father-in-law.
Past secrets, revenge and forbidden love are often used ingredients in this genre but it is rare that they come across this convincingly and are handled with so much thought. Emotions are given sufficient time to develop and conflicts simmer and brew before they erupt. This is a thoroughly well written story that should appeal to fans of romance as well as family drama and good contemporary fiction.
Very enjoyable

Conflicted on 5th Avenue Abbie St.Claire

I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest review.

I had no idea what to expect before starting this book, I went in blind without even reading the blurb! What a pleasant surprise it was! I loved it! I stayed up till the early hours just to finish reading because I couldn't stop reading!

Doctor Ian is a widower with a young son, when he moves to Dallas he meets Chelsie who is divorced with a young son of her own. Sparks fly as soon as they get together, but both know that their children come first and that their romance needs to be kept a secret from them for now.

I loved all the characters in this book they were so well developed and the writing style was brilliant I could picture everything happening as if watching it pan out in front of me. There's steamy scenes and comedy and a great romance in the making for this brilliant pair. I couldn't help but think there's hidden secrets yet to be revealed and although the end hints to a happily ever after for the couple, I feel the next book will see them go through some painful times before they hopefully get their great ending!

Five stars from me I can't wait to read the next book!

Conflicted on Fifth Avenue by Abbie St Claire: I received an ARC for an honest review. This is a great story. Ian is a single dad who has raised his son, Oliver, alone since he was a few months old when his wife died in an accident. Ian existed, barely, until he realized his son was getting bullied in school by the son of a short-lived flame who felt his mom wanted Ian instead of him! Ian's med school friend offers him a job in Dallas, so off Ian and Oliver go to Dallas. On their street, Fifth Avenue, Ian meets a neighbor, Chelsie, a single divorced mother of one boy, Ty. Her husband cheated on her with his assistant. He also belittled Chelsie and psychologically made her feel badly about herself. This story is about Ian trying his best, in his sexually experienced way to help Chelsie grow in feeling good about herself and her sexuality. And to get her to maybe fall in love. Will they or won't they? Are they both skittish? Both tied to their pasts? This author is amazing! She makes you fall in love with all the characters and get invested in their stories! Cliffhanger ending! But I have the next book!!

Conflicted on 5th Avenue!
A beautifully written story about a 2nd chance at love!
Chelsie Peterson is trying to trust again after being burned by the man she was so deeply in love with.
Dr Ian Briggs is trying to open his heart again after loosing the love of his life so tragically.
Their incredibly attracted to one another and are both single parents; their children's well being comes first and foremost.
Are they both willing to take the risk?
This story is captivating from start to finish and it definitely pulls on the heartstrings.
Looking forward to book 2 in the 5th Avenue Romance Trilogy

This was a great book! I really loved it. The first book I have read from Abbi St. Claire and it definitely made me want to read more! She is a wonderful author and I loved her writing. Ian and Chelsie are both single parents. Ian a widower and Chelsie divorced. Can they forge a relationship without jeopardizing their relationship with their sons? I have never read a story with this same storyline and was unsure, but I really enjoyed it and am excited for the next one.

So far I have only read Conflicted on 5th Ave by Abbie St Clair here is my review on it A refreshing steamy erotic tale about a single dad who in guise of doing something for his son packs up and starts over and in the midst finds love. The best part is it doesn't happen over night even though it is instant attraction for him. St Clair takes you on a nice journey of discovery for each of them and with a nice easy writing style that carries you along for the ride. Great story and characters and lots of steamy parts with minor bondage and stuff.

A Medieval Encounter by Aubrey Wynne....I truly enjoyed this lovely fairy tale type love story. A magical tale set in the whimsical time of Merlin the magician. Can Rolf, the handsome royal wizard of the English court of King Henry II and Queen Eleanor, win the heart of the beautiful Lady Melissa? This story had all the things a great old time fairy tale. We even have an evil villain in the form of a Duke. Rolf must capture the heart of the fair lady without the use of magic to free the legendary wizard Merlin from his prison before time runs out.

A Medieval Encounter by Aubrey Wynne – Love the twist on Merlin. This story was exciting and fun to read. Melissa and Rolf make for a fun and loving couple. King Henry and Queen Eleanor are quite entertaining with Eleanor’s match making. Charles Whitburn is a malicious creepy Duke. Lord and Lady Garrick are interesting, especially Lady Garrick, she has a way of being annoying and motherly all at the same time. Aubrey Wynne did an awesome job making these characters and their lives stand out and grab a hold of me. Can’t wait to for the next book.

More to come...

I've only read conflicted on the 5th by Abbie St Claire.

Abbie St Claire brings a new light to romance novels. I really loved her ability to combine a light hearted romance with a soft BDSM twist. Ian and Chelsie face many of the same traumas that young relationships take. I would recommend this book to my friends. It's new, it's fresh and it was a great read! Can't wait to see what happens in the next book.

X Marks the Spot - Kimmie Easley

Jolene Miller is trying to leave her past behind her, as well as the family business. She has become a lawyer in San Diego and is involved in a relationship with Brad, a fellow attorney at the company she works for. But when she receives a phone call from her sister, Jessa asking her to come home she finally does so.

Once home she discovers that her childhood love, Ronin Steele has been accused of murder and he claims he is innocent. Will Jolene be able to help him and find out if there is a traitor in among The Executioners, the motorcycle club to which her father is the president and Ronin a member.

I really enjoyed this book and all of the tension among everyone as there was definitely a lack of trust in the club with Ronin being charged with murder. I loved the relationship between Ronin and Jolene as they began to discover what had happened between them and why Jolene disappeared.

I absolutely loved the character of Ruth! She was definitely the one that kept everyone together and grounded. It's still interesting to see how the members "viewed" women, even in this day.

I can't wait to see where this series goes!

Racing Hearts by Marcia James

Tom "Torque" Tyler is 33 years old and was a race car driver until a car accident off the track leaves his racing career over and his future uncertain.

Meg Klein has been called in by Tom's parents to assist him by providing a dog that is able to detect seizures that Tom is having. Although Tom is initially reluctant to take the dog he does and almost right away it benefits him.

Tom and Meg have known each other for years and both are attracted to each other but both have reservations about getting involved. Will they give themselves a chance at love or are the risks too high?

This was a great book and I loved realness relating to the feeling of helplessness that Tom had and how difficult is was for him to get help.

Set Free by Kelly Collins

Wow! Another amazing read by Kelly Collins!

Michelle "Mickey" Mercer has just gotten out of the Denver Women's Correctional Facility, after spending the last year in jail. She is looking forward to getting back to her ranch and getting her life back together. Yet no one is there to pick her up when she gets out and she begins the long walk home.

Detective Kerrick McKinley picks Mickey up and instantly feels the need to protect her from everything that is going wrong in her life. Yet, he does not want a relationship with her due to his fear of relationships.

The two form a hot and cold friendship that neither really want to give up. Kerrick does all he can to help Mickey get her life back, and get rid of her ex-boyfriend Morgan who ended up putting her in jail in the first place. When Kerrick isn't there when Mickey needs him will he blame himself and ruin everything they have worked so hard to attain?

I loved the relationship, or lack of, between Kerrick and Mickey. It is so important to realize the amount of damage verbal abuse can do on a person, even if they have no idea they are really receiving it. This book had intensity, loyalty and some twists you never saw coming. I also loved that the book was a totally unique idea!

Playing for Keeps - Michele Shriver
Colton Tremblay has just been traded from the Montreal Canadiens where he won a Stanley Cup to the new expansion team, the San Antonio Generals. He's shocked but now has a second chance at rebuilding his image which has taken a nose-dive due to his long string of women.

Maya Dominquez has finally been given the chance at furthering her career as a journalist at All Sports when she is given the opportunity to cover the Generals. She knows she must be professional and not risk this opportunity of a lifetime.

Yet when Colton and Maya meet sparks fly and there is instant attraction. Yet both of a lot on the line career wise and if they are caught will they lose everything they have worked so hard for?

Great attraction and second chances!!

Behind the Altar - P.C. Zick

This book was amazing and really tackled some difficult issues!

Leah is engaged to Jacob Davis, a minister in the local church where she runs her Soup's On program for the homeless. Geraldine, Jacob's mom cancels the program and seems to control everything Leah and Jacob do.

In comes Dean Davis, Jacob's brother who Leah was told was dead. From their first kiss upon meeting sparks fly!

Leah is torn between the two brothers and is not sure what to do but there is a major issues coming into play and Leah may not have the ability to make her own decision.

When everyone's life is thrown into peril and danger, will love survive??

Silent Love - Casey Clipper

Sean Millen is a former Navy SEAL, and now is the department head of Cardiology at a hospital. He has finished with his playboy life and is ready to move onto something more serious but the reputation of him and his brother, Ryan, is making it difficult. Then one day he runs into, literally, a beautiful girl who could be the woman of his dreams.

Beth Connors is lonely since being in an accident 4 years ago. She has now built walls around herself, not letting anyone get close to her in fear they will leave her. She is not used to anyone being nice to her and keeps to herself.

Gradually Sean begins to get closer to Beth but she is afraid due to the way others treat her. When two events occur they may not be able to regain the trust and move ahead together.

I love these two and Ryan!! Beth is wonderful and there are definitely reasons to why she is so guarded and afraid! The dedication shown by both Sean and Ryan can be seen as a little creepy but I did really enjoy their loyalty to each other and those around them!

I can't wait to learn more about this family!!!

Taming Romeo - Rachelle Ayala

Evie Sanchez is taking a break from medical school after being dumped by her boyfriend Eric. She takes solace back with her family and working for her family's restaurant Barrio XO.

Movie star Romeo Garcia is back in town for a movie role and wants answers to why Evie left him on prom night.

Will Romeo and Evie figure out if they are meant to be together or will both of their pasts and present come back to interfere in their happiness?

I really enjoyed this story and love how their is so much family drama involved with "extended" families taking part in who is meant to be together!

Taming Romeo is a breathtaking story of being pursued and caught by a love so boundless and intense that all we can think of is forever. When a love so pure and right envelopes and permeates itself so thoroughly and gently throughout your heart, it cannot be easily stopped or pushed aside. Throwing aside such a precious gift is unthinkable and beyond cruel. Unfortunately, in life nothing is cut and dry when it comes to love and life. Sometimes we are convinced that love will only serve to hold us back from our dreams when in reality they only help to fuel and enhance your deepest dreams. If only, we could really understand that and not allow others to convince us to settle for leaving our heart on the side of the road. Living life without your heart completely removes the reason for life itself. Who would want to live like that?

Evie is a girl with a dream of becoming a doctor. The only problem is that while her dreams pull her away from home, the boy who has stolen her heart is at home. She is completely torn by this, and ultimately she is convinced that her dreams are more important then what her heart wants. After all she can find love anywhere, right? Her heart tries to tell her that she is wrong, but to prove that she knows best, she finds a love at college that becomes only a shadow of what she desperately longs for. Romeo doesn’t understand why the girl he intended to marry left him standing with his heart in his hands. He thought he knew where she stood, but obviously he’s missing some important piece of information. When she comes home for a short break, he doesn’t intend to waste any time in showing her what all she has missed out on. He wants to ingrain himself so deeply into her heart that she can’t walk away this time. With meddling families and jealous siblings, these two have their work cut out for them. Will Evie follow her heart this time, or will she forever lose the best thing in her life?

Evie attempted to make her dreams come true at the ultimate expense of her heart which only proved to her that she was making a huge mistake in the end. Everything came crashing down around her because you can’t live your life devoid of your heart. You ignore it at your own demise. Her character really tugged at my heart because she learned the hard way that you can’t walk away from the incredible love that she and Romeo carefully built and nurtured. My heart broke for Romeo since he was left completely in the dark without an excuse or any word from Evie for 5 years. I admire him for not hating her when she came back, but instead he was fiercely determined to prove to Evie that he still loved her and she had always been in his heart even she shut him out of her life. He was relentless in loving her and proving to her that she deserved to be loved so completely and perfectly even after she broke his heart. They belonged together, and he did everything he could to show her that she needed to choose him this time.

Rachelle Ayala has created this beautifully dysfunctional Sanchez family who you love and yet want to smack them from time to time. They are a fun yet realistic family who in the end loves each other in spite of their faults and mistakes. While they might not go about things the right way, in the end they find the love, forgiveness, and courage they need to make the right decisions. We all get frustrated with those in our family, but deep in our heart, we love each other unconditionally. This is what I love to see each time I come back to this incredible group of people who have touched my heart one person at a time. I very much look forward to seeing more from them in the future.

I received a copy of this and in return I am reviewing several of the stories.

A Medieval Encounter by Aubrey Wynne is set in England back in times were daughters were promised away in marriage. Merlin is being held captive in a tree. The only thing that can set him free is one of his descendants first born finding true love. Baron Giles Arabrec's son Rolf is his last chance to be reunited with Viven. Rolf and Melissa see each other in dreams. Rolf uses his magical powers to make his presence known to Melissa. He has appeared to her several different ways throughout her life. They do manage to develop feelings for each other but Melissa is already promised to another. Will true love win or will the king honor the fact that she has already been given to someone else? Aubrey's storytelling is just as magical as the Wizards in this story.

Set Free by Kelly Collins tells the story of Mickey and Kerrick. Mickey has just been released from prison when she meets Kerrick. He offers her a ride home. They have an intense chemistry from day one. Kerrick cannot seem to decide how to feel. His mood is all over the place. One obstacle they are facing is she has just been released from prison and he is a detective. After listening to her story Kerrick decides he wants to play the part of bodyguard. He knows he wants more with Mickey than he is willing to admit too. Mickey decides to try and get her ranch up and running again after learning her ex has sold her cattle and stolen her money. Her ex shows up and attacks Mickey. Kerrick feels like a failure while Mickey feels like he deserted her when she needed him the most. Will they find there way back to each other? Will love be enough? This story has it all. There is drama, chemistry, and just the right amount of danger.

Conflicted on Fifth Avenue by Abbie St. Claire takes you on an emotional ride. Ian and Chelsie are two single parents trying to do what is best for their children. Although Chelsie is hesitant at first they decide to start dating. Their relationship takes a lot of work to get going. After a terrible fall Chelsie needs to have surgery. While waiting on the doctor Ian over hears she could be pregnant. Instead of being supportive he acts like a jerk. Chelsie is able to forgive and move on and everything is going great until they sit down to explain their relationship to their sons. This story tugs on your heart strings. It discusses divorce, losing a baby, low self-esteem and grief. Even though such dark topics were discussed the story was written beautifully by showing each episode persons journey.

Playing for Kerps by Michele Shriver is a true testament about not believing everything you heard and not to judge someone based on what someone else tells you. Colton Tremblay is an outstanding hockey player. His one flaw is he loves women. Colton is traded to an expansion team in Texas where he meets Maya. He is immediately taken with her. Her one flaw is she is a reporter whose job is to report about the hockey team he is playing for. Colton pursues Maya in a way that makes her comfortable. After a fellow reporter decides to out Maya and Colton's relationship Maya has to chose between love or no longer reporting on hockey. Maya puts her faith in Colton. Love always wins.

Chelsie Peterson is a recently divorced single mom with a lot of baggage. Her ex cheated on her and told her he hated sex with her. She was ugly and boring and lots of horrible mind altering in a bad way kind of stuff. Then she meets Dr. Ian Briggs, orthopedic surgeon extraordinaire. He is a single dad to a son similar in age to Chelsie’s whose wife died when their son was only 2 months old. They both live on the same street only a few houses apart. Ian is trying to start over for his son who was bullied a lot back at his school in California.
At first the relationship seems like it would be perfect for both of them but Chelsie really tries to sabotage the relationship at every opportunity. Thanks to her ex-husband, she is so messed up she can’t seem to see a good thing when it is right in front of her. It is almost puzzling at first but Ian seems to really get it and he is very patient and really helps her to come out of her shell. Ian is extremely protective and controlling and I am not sure that is a good thing.
Chelsie’s character really makes a lot of progress as the story progresses. She seems to start to feel more comfortable with herself and develop a sense of confidence. It is great to see her progress. Ian seems fine with himself the way he is. What I did not like about the story is the large number of colloquial expressions and that the earlier part of the book doesn’t seem to be edited. It is strange though as the book progresses, the grammar, typos and colloquialisms decrease so I was glad I persevered reading it. This book ends of a bit of a cliff hanger in that nothing is really resolved. However, there is no scary ending like someone is kidnapped or anything like that so you can stop the series there but I do suggest you get the next book because it is even better.

Conflicted by Abbie St. Claire: I was captivated from the beginning. The dynamics between Ian and Chelsie are suspenseful, delightful and titillating. Ian is a hot Doctor who lost his wife and has been raising his son alone. He doesn't allow anyone to get close as he is afraid of opening his life and heart. But he sees that his son needs more and he realizes that he does too.

Chelise is a single Mom who was emotionally scarred by her Ex when he caught his cheating. She lost her self-identify, and has been struggling to find her self worth. She is a dedicated Mom and has hidden behind being "Mom" to avoid relationships and putting herself out there.

When the two meet they have instant attraction, but both need to grow emotionally to allow love to enter.

Single-Parenthood is hard enough, but when you want and need the connection of a relationship, but try to protect your child from hurt. A whole new dimension to trust has to be accepted. This is a great book, and I enjoyed reading how others deal with being single parents and needing to find that love for your life, and learn to trust again.

Conflicted by Abbie St. Claire

This is the first book I've read by Abbie St. Claire & I will definitely be reading more. I loved it! Ian Briggs is a widower with a young son. His wife died in a car accident when Oliver, his son, was a few months old. After getting an offer from an old medical school classmate, Ian relocated from Seattle to Dallas.

Chelsie Peterson is a divorcee with a young son, Ty. Chelsie's ex-husband tried to convince her that she was the reason he cheated & he managed to badly dent her self confidence. She lives two houses down from Ian. They meet & the chemistry is instant & hot. Can Chelsie realize that a man can be interested? Can she regain her self confidence? Will Ian allow himself to be happy & will Oliver let him? Can Chelsie deal with Ian's light interest in BDSM?

I really enjoyed Abbie's writing style. The characters were well developed & relatable. The plot line had twists that aren't expected & keep you interested. The sex scenes were hot & steamy but not in poor taste. I will be reading more from Abbie!

I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Conflicted on 5th Avenue - Abbie St. Claire
Love, love, love this book! A great start for this series. It has a great plot, steamy, scenes and very likeable characters. Really liked that it carried real life issues like life after the relationship that you were sure was going to be your one and only. We have two single parents trying to move on with their lives after the parting of their significant other: Chelsie didn't think she was relationship material after her ex-husband made her feel unworthy and unattractive; Ian was still feeling the loss of his ex-wife after the tragic accident that took her when his son was just a baby. Both needed fresh starts and fatefully ended up moving to 5th Avenue. The attraction was mutual and it didn't take long for them to cave in. But they had to work with a series of situations that are very familiar to real life like their son's welfare, health, and past ghosts and insecurities.

Conflicted on 5th Avenue by Abbie St. Claire

I received in exchange for an honest review.

Two broken people on the road to healing together.

After Dr. Ian Briggs lost his wife his main concern was raising his son, Oliver. Work and home were his top priority and for his son's sake there was no thought of a serious relationship.

Chelsie Peterson has written off any relationships after her ex husband broke her confidence. Work and her son, Ty, take control of her days and nights.

When Ian moves to a new town he looked at it as a move forward for him and his son. His first sight of Chelsie has him captivated.

The two of them form a secret relationship not wanting to hurt their sons. Ian helps Chelsie's confidence with while she works to heal his heart.

After an accident their relationship is tested and decide to open up to their sons putting their future together in the air.

This is a story of two lives who had gone through a traumatic situation.
Ian Briggs lost his wife in a car accident soon after their son was born. He is now a single father
having to juggle is work and being a parent. When his friend called him up to ask him again to join
his practice, he decided to uproot to Dallas. He wanted to make sure his son was happy.
Chelsea Peterson is divorced from her cheating husband who verbally abuse her of her inadequate sexual performance or lack thereof.
When Ian met Chelsea, he felt he could try to love again. Chelsea is unsure of the relationship since her ex had made her lose her self confidence.
I had a hard time putting this book down. It is a total must read. Loved it!!

A Medieval Encounter [Rolf's Quest] by Aubrey Wynne

The story is based on Merlin’s familial successors and breaking a curse that goes back hundreds of years. Merlin would have to live stuck in an ancient tree trunk until the curse is broken. The only way the curse can be broken is by a descendant [a male] genuine love with a lady who feels completely the same love back for them. Generations later you have a young boy by the name of Baron Rolf Arbrec has to live alone to be raised by Merlin and to try to learn to succeed where his father and men before him had failed to break the curse.[Rolf is a wizard, and descendant of Merlin]. To find out what happens you will need to read this book. I truly loved this story.

Conflicted on 5th Avenue is the first book in the 5th Avenue Series by Abbie St. Claire.
Surgeon and widower Ian and son Oliver move in next door to divorced boutique owner Chelsie and son Ty.They go from friendship to deeper feelings for each other. When the end in bed together they could have their HEA but the story continues.... Misunderstandings, hurt feelings, jealousy, love...
My favorite quotes: "Let your heart be your guide and follow it."
" Ian, people put up walls to make others try harder. It´s human." -" Í´ll try harder. I´ll try anything because you are worthy of everything."
"My love for you needed time to bury my darkness."
Conflicted on 5th Avenue is an amazing book and i fell in love with it. Thank you Abbie St. Claire.

This review is for Conflicted on 5th Ave. by Abbie St. Claire. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I really enjoyed this book but it does end in a cliffhanger. Just FYI! Ian, a smoking hot doctor, is raising his son, Oliver, alone after his wife died in an accident. Oliver is having a tough time at school and when the opportunity comes up for them to move and start fresh elsewhere Ian jumps at it. There they meet Chelsie and her son, Ty. They are neighbors and become friends and eventually more. The sex is hot, the romance is sweet, the kids and dogs are adorable, the friends are a hoot. The kids just discovered their parents are dating so now we have to wait and see what happens in the next book. Can't wait!

I received an ARC of Set Free by Kelly Collins as an exchange of an honest review.
This is my first book by Kelly Collins and when I started this book I just couldn't put it down anymore.
I really liked Mickey and how she gets a second chance at her life, and the best part is the sexy detective/cowboy who helped her through all this and rebuild her ranch.
I love the ranch and how you want it all works out in Mickey's life, especially with Kerrick, which is a guy who looks tough, but can't hide for long all his sweetness and how Mickey's important to him.
Even better, Kerrick's brothers also appears to help the ranch.
I can't wait to read their stories as well!
A must to read!

Set Free~ Kelly Collins
Fabulous read.

I have been lucky enough to receive an arc of Kelly's latest novel, and it was absolutely fabulous. Kelly Collins creates characters who maybe slightly flawed, but makes the readers care and fall in love with them.I loved the premise of the story, the characters - Mickey the feisty heroine trying to rebuild her life after being released from jail who still retains her belief in love, and Kerrick the unlucky in love hero. Kelly creates intrigue and a great plot, as well as delivering the perfect ending. Can't wait for the next book in the series.

I've only read Conflicted on 5th Avenue from Abbie St. Claire from this set so my review is as follows.
I really enjoyed the single father storyline! I loved the neighbors, to friends, to more... Chelsie and Ian were fun and had great chemistry. Great parents to both their boys and I loved the whole family dynamics but yet hotness of the story. This is the first time I've read this author but certainly not my last.
a copy was provided to me in exchange for an honest review.

I've read:
Set Free by Kelly Collins

I dearly loved this book! As usual Kelly has written the unexpected.

An ex convict (Mickey) and a detective (Kerrick), who would have thought. I loved the connection I felt with all the characters in the story.

I'm excited to learn more about Mickey & Kerrick as well as the other McKinley brothers.

I highly recommend this book to any and all!
