ABOUT ABOUT

During this session we will discuss employment tribunal decisions that deal with unfair dismissal claims relating to social media misuse in the workplace.

Covering Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn, and issues such as cyber bullying and damage to company reputation, this informative session will cover what to include in your social media policy as well as general guidance of things to consider when dealing with a potential disciplinary or dismissal situation.

The second part of the session will cover top tips on how to draw up robust internal processes when using social media.

During this session you will:

  •        Gain the information you need to reduce the risk of social media disputes in the workplace
  •        Learn how to deal with social media disputes if they do arise
  •        Get top tips on how to draw up robust internal social media processes for your business

The information gained during this session can also be applied to a range of other instances where you might need to dismiss a member of staff for gross misconduct. With recent changes in the law meaning that employees no longer need to pay to take an employer to a tribunal, it has become even more essential that employers use a fair and structured process when making a disciplinary judgement. This session will provide you with the fundamental information that you need to know in order to protect your business.
