YOU'LL REMEMBER LAST YEAR, FORTIER WAS CHARGED WITH THEFT AFTER BEING ACCUSED OF ILLEGALLY CHARGING FOR PARKING AT A TOWN LOT AND THEN POCKETING THAT MONEY FOR HIMSELF. THE LAST NOVEMBER A JUDGE DECLARED A MISTRIAL AFTER JUROR COOSE NOT REACH A -- COULD NOT REACH A VERDICT IN HIS TRIAL. Former Ogunquit town manager reaches agreement in theft case
Former Ogunquit town manager Tom Fortier has reached an agreement with prosecutors to have the case against him dismissed.Fortier was charged with theft after being accused of illegally charging for parking and then keeping the money himself.A judge declared a mistrial last November after jurors could not reach a verdict in his trial.Under the agreement signed June 27, Fortier must complete 100 hours of community service.If Fortier completes the community service and stays out of trouble for eight months, the case against him will be dismissed.

Former Ogunquit town manager Tom Fortier has reached an agreement with prosecutors to have the case against him dismissed.
