4.0 out of 5 stars. Very NiceReviewed by Cooper from Texas on Thursday, December 28, 2017I just received this jacket as a gift. Fit is nice, true to size, not slim fit which is exactly what I wanted. It's a comfortable fit and I still have room for a n extra layer if needed. This does not have an internal pocket as stated in description which is why I didn't give it 5 stars. However, this appears to be well made and will be a nice winter coat for Central Texas. Not hand warmer pockets.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Excellent winter jacket for the priceVerified Buyer Reviewed by Knurek the Hiker from Midwest on Friday, October 28, 2016I've purchased and owned a lot of gear from several brands (Columbia, North Face, Kavu, Bonfire, etc.) but nothing from Avalanche. Needing an insulated jacket for the upcoming winter, I bought this for under $50 and have been very pleased thus far. The insulation runs throughout the entire jacket, not just the sleeves. The sleeve and back material is more substantial than most down jackets I've seen/tested/owned. The pockets are deep and all zippers are quality work. The removable hood is, possibly, the weakest point of the jacket in that it isn't form fitted for a helmet but, rather more of a "general use" hood. There are no pit zips or ventilation areas within the jacket, but I didn't buy it for high-activity settings. This jacket will get me through commuting to work in the 10-20 degree weather we have in deep winter without any problems.

5.0 out of 5 stars. ironlegVerified Buyer Reviewed by ironleg from MI on Monday, October 24, 2016The fit for a large is perfect, removable hood is a plus very lightweight and warm like the inside cuff to keep out cold draft.
