Lyngby Local Engineering / Technical Ref.: MD-056996 The Electric section, part of General Engineering in Maersk Drilling, is looking for an experienced electrical engineer for power systems including power generation, distribution, frequency converters and other parts of the power systems. We Offer The Electric section is responsible for ensuring engineering support to the Operation and Commercial departments, and internally supports the modification projects handled by Technical Organisation. The section also handles smaller projects on the rigs in operation. As Electrical Engineer you will be part of the Electric team working with own projects in close corporation with our team of electrical engineers and also participate as project team member on larger projects. Key Responsibilities • Development of the overall and detailed engineering design within your line of profession and experience, based on specific scope of work and design basis, including interface design and fit-for-purpose design. • Make technical specifications, acceptance tests, commissioning and documentation for power generation and distribution systems. You will also be responsible for development of the overall and detailed design. • Ensuring that the design is in compliance with contractual requirements, good engineering practice and complies with rules, regulations and standards applicable for the relevant work. In addition ensuring that progress meets the agreed schedule. • Participation in projects in relation to existing units as well as new buildings. This includes trips offshore onboard the units to carry out surveys, supervise project execution or similar. It may also include participating in yard stays. Who we are looking for You have a theoretical background on Bachelor/Master level as Electrical Engineer and minimum ten years of experience in working with power systems. You have a strong focus on results, and work independently and with a logical approach to problem solving. You are fluent in English and ideally have a basic knowledge of Danish.
