Morning Fresh Bakeries

I"m a donut eater with 65+ years actual eating experience. As a kid of 8, I'd walk to the bakery and buy a dozen donuts for $0.60. So yeah I'm old but I know donuts. Since moving to Michigan 38 years ago, I've eaten lots of donuts from lots of bakeries. In my opinion, Morning Fresh Bakeries is in the top 3 of all I've sampled in Michigan. My favorite is a raspberry filled donut with a raspberry frosting. My buddy Ken loves the lemon filled donuts which I tried last week and have to admit was very good. Another friend Dick likes the fluff filled long John with chocolate frosting. Had one yesterday and it too was tasty. In the 20 years of getting a donut or two when I'm in Adrian, I've never had one I didn't like. That along with friendly service makes them a winner in my book.

Sadly they have gone downhill. The last three times we had them, they were stale and uninspired and (most sadly) underfilled. We didn't make our daughter transfer, though. I will keep trying - I know the potential!

You can't beat getting a coffee and a donut free with a fuel purchase over 10 gallons. I stop here occasionally and it's a nice surprise. The bostom cream/chocolate eclair is my favorite and it's delicious here. They have s lot of varities and they are very fresh.
