Thesis Launch

Week 6 Countdown: LAUNCH

It's time to LAUNCH your thesis!

Need more time to find your thesis director and second committee member? Feel free to navigate to previous weeks and keep working through the steps.

Found your thesis director and second committee member? Let's celebrate! You're ready to move to the steps below.

To Do List: 3-2-1-LAUNCH!

3) Take notes on the Prospectus Planning page. Share with your thesis director and second committee member and get feedback.

2) Write your prospectus summary, and fill out the prospectus form. Meet with your thesis director and second committee member for them to approve your summary and sign the prospectus form. Submit to Barrett advising.

1) Complete your Week 6 online reflection journal.

    • What have I learned through this process? How could I talk about the thesis process in an interview for a job or a graduate program?
    • Which of the top eight Career Competencies will I develop while working on my thesis?

FINAL STEP:

    • Complete the post-survey. This is critical to the study and should only take 7-10 minutes. You can help improve Thesis Launch for the future! THANK YOU!!!

Getting started on the thesis can be one of the most challenging parts. You should feel proud of the work you put in to launch your thesis! Not there yet? That’s ok, go back to previous steps. The time you put into the process now will help you find a great project and professors to work with. Finally, don’t forget that advising is available as a resource throughout the process.
