Increase Testing Capabilities with the Dimension EXL LM System

Published Date: October 12, 2018

Dimension EXL LM SystemThe Dimension EXL with LM system is an in vitro diagnostic device intended to measure a variety of analytes in human body fluids. This Siemens Healthineers analyzer allows laboratories to consolidate workstations with a single system that integrates chemistry and immunoassay testing. This system produces fast and accurate results in 11-18 minutes for key critical assays.

The Dimension EXL LM enhances efficiency through uninterrupted processing when loading and unloading samples, reagents, controls and calibrators. This analyzer improves laboratory operations with connectivity to Siemens Healthineers automation and IT solutions. Lab workflow can be simplified by mixing and matching chemistry and immunoassay tests in one common reagent area.

This fully automated, microprocessor controlled, integrated floor model uses pre-packaged Siemens Dimension Flex® reagent cartridges to measure a variety of analytes in human body fluids. The system can process samples in random access, batch or STAT modes.

This integrated chemistry and immunoassay analyzer comes with 91 assays onboard and throughput up to 627 tests per hour and has the ability to load 18 reagents at once without pausing the system. Its comprehensive menu includes chemistry, cardiac, thyroid, and no-pretreatment immunosuppressive drug assays. By simultaneously running all assays from one sample tube, it avoids splitting samples. Other benefits and features

  • No manual sample pretreatment
  • No manual reagent preparation
  • Long calibration stability
  • Short reaction times, no washing or separation steps
  • Excellent precision and high sensitivity
  • Automatic repeat testing from the original sample
  • Proactive STAT, sample, supply, QC and calibration alerts
  • Bar-code reagent identification

The Dimension EXL LM offers excellent immunoassay sensitivity using small sample volumes with homogeneous LOCI® advanced Chemiluminescence Technology. As the LOCI® module is faster and more accurate than other systems, it helps hospitals contribute to better patient care.
