Kris Jenner keeps mum on Caitlyn's ESPYs speech after not being invited to awards... but fellow ex-wife Linda Thompson praises transgender star's 'courage'

While all of Caitlyn Jenner's children were invited to support her as she received the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the ESPY Awards on Wednesday night, her ex-wife Kris Jenner was not on the guest list.

And the 59-year-old had nothing to say right away about her ex's moving acceptance speech, keeping quiet on her social media pages.

TMZ reports that Jenner's three ex-wives Chrystie Crownover, Linda Thompson, and Kris were not invited as they 'are not family anymore.'

Linda however was watching at home, and praised Caitlyn for her courage with a sweet Instagram post.

Alongside a few photos of the transgender star, second wife Linda wrote: 'Congratulations @CaitlynJenner on your ESPY award. Your courage is indeed commendable.

'You looked beautifully elegant & spoke with grace & eloquence. Your children are a credit to life itself & deserve their own recognition for their loving devotion. #proudmoment.'

Caitlyn - formerly Bruce -  made her first big public debut at the sports bash with her children in full support.

Both Linda and Chrystie have expressed their support of Jenner's transition into a female, even giving loving statements for the 20/20 interview with Diane Sawyer in April.

For the same ABC sit-down chat, third ex-wife Kris did not share a message to the network amid claims there was tension between her and Caitlyn.

Before Caitlyn's gender transition she was married three times. Her first marriage was to Chrystie Scott (1972-1981), which produced two children Burton and Cassandra.

Meanwhile, in receiving the Arthur Ashe Courage Award, Caitlyn joins recent recipients like Michael Sam, the first openly gay NFL player, and sportscaster Robin Roberts, who survived breast cancer and the blood disease myelodysplastic syndrome.

In its statement announcing Jenner's award, an ESPN boss said he hoped honouring Jenner would 'give comfort' to other transgender people struggling with their identity.'

Executive producer Maura Mandt said upon announcing the honour: 'Bruce [Jenner] has received many accolades over the years for being one of the greatest Olympians of our time, but The ESPYS are honored to celebrate Bruce becoming Caitlyn.'

'However, being honored with this award, which is named after one of my heroes, is truly special. For the first time this July, I will be able to stand as my true self in front of my peers.'
