Salman Khan is on cloud nine these days and the reason is obvious! His big Diwali release, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, has worked wonders at the box-office. The actor revealed how his mom and sisters had watched the film in London with their friends. He said that all of them had loved the film and enjoyed it thoroughly. His mom had called him from London at 2 am to share her excitement at how much they had loved the film and tell him that everyone was laughing and crying amid the good energy in the theatre, as reported by Dailybhaskar.com.

Prem Ratan Dhan Payo: Fans’ excitement shows at the ticket windows

There is a huge excitement among fans for Salman Khan’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. The advance bookings for the film had already begun on November 7, 2015 and according to a report on Newshunt.com, 20-30% of bookings have already been done. The film, which is releasing in over 4500 screens across India, will enjoy a solo release on Diwali, and is expected to fetch a lot of moolah at the box-office.

Prem Ratan Dhan Payo's sets were lit up with lights worth Rs 15 crore?

Prem Ratan Dhan Payo sure looks like an expensive film, what with the lavish sets and elaborate costumes that all the cast seems to have been swathed in. However, what comes as a surprise is that the film's lighting alone has cost a whopping Rs 15 crore, as stated in a Mid-day report. A unit hand has been quoted in the report as saying that director Sooraj Barjatya is known to spend lavishly on set design and since his upcoming film revolves around a royal family, he has made it as opulent as it could get. The source further adds that lights were an important element of the set design and the cost of illumination over the 258-day schedule has come to somewhere between Rs 13-15 crore. A source close to the production team has also been quoted in the report as saying that, "Exquisite and expensive lights were purchased for the shoot because Sooraj sir was clear about lending a grand look to the film. And with Salman deciding to let go of his fee, the director was able to spend generously on the production."

Sonam Kapoor was intimidated by Salman Khan

Sonam got a chance to be serenaded by the original Prem, Salman Khan, in the upcoming Diwali dhamaka, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, she admits that she was initially quite intimidated by her co-star. "Salman is such a superstar and incredibly charismatic. But Soorajji and he went out of their way to make me comfortable," she says, adding that the only blip was her coming down with swine flu while filming in Gujarat. "It was scary, I missed four-five days of work which I made up for later."

Sooraj Barjatya has apparently insisted that Salman will not be amongst the first ones to watch Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. Instead, he wants stalwarts like his father and Salman's father to watch the film before everyone else. After watching Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Salman's father, Salim Khan had insisted that the promotional song, 'Aaj ki party' be removed from the end credits of the film and that had indeed added to the film's appeal. Sooraj must be expecting a similar, honest opinion about his film which is why he might have decided to let the veterans watch the film first.

Well, Salman's candid confession about the new Prem has us worried but we will only know the truth when the film releases.
