In collaboration with Healing Connections March 4 Balance
                                 Support Your Teen
                                     Parent Night

Who:
All parents and guardians of students grade 6-12

What: A dynamic opportunity to learn about challenges that teens face
and to gain strategies and resources to help teens thrive.

Evening Events:

  • 5:30- 6:00 Resource fair with counseling agencies and community groups.
  • 6:00-6:30 Welcome by Mayor Mary Ann Lutz & Superintendent Katherine Thorossian 
  • 6:35-8:00 Mental Health Seminars. Choose two 45 minute sessions from:
Topics:
  • Teen mental health: depression & suicide prevention
  • Helping teens cope with stress
  • Drug and gang prevention
  • Lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, transgender & questioning youth concerns
  • Cyber education & safety 
  • Parenting strategies for struggling youth; parent resources
