I chose to make a Crown of Thorns Christmas Wreath because its general appearance has the physical characteristics of a natural wreath. There are 1,560 pieces in the wreath consisting of 8,264 notches. The pieces are cut 3/16" x 3/16"with various lengths. The notches are 3/8" wide x 3/16" deep with a 3/8" space between notches. The pinecones are also made in the Crown of Thorns style. The ribbon is the style of a Celtic ribbon. This piece was inspired by the traditional tramp art style of interlocking pieces shown in E.M. Wyatt's book, Puzzles in Wood. It measures 5" thick by 19-1/2" diameter
