What a darling party! I absolutely love the frilly cupcakes placed in tea cups! I also love the darling heart sugar cookies; especially the “best friends” ones. This party is too cute and has so many precious ideas that you could use for either a Valentine’s Day party or tea party playdate.
The Valentine’s party ideas and elements that I like best from this darling tea party are:
- The darling “XOXO” banner
- The cute heart sugar cookies
- The darling jelly sandwiches with hearts punched in them
- The cute pink heart macarons
- The darling floral heart pillows used as centerpieces and hung in the tree
- The cute cupcakes placed in tea cups
- and MORE!
This is what Bethany said about planning the party-
“Like most little girls, my daughters love throwing tea parties! So when Valentine’s Day rolled around, I thought it would cute to throw a “Best Friend Par-tea” for my girls and their besties.
We live in California and were lucky enough to be able to hold the party outdoors. The weather was perfect for a tea party! Because of the lovely scenery, the decor was minimal, fresh flowers, lace and great-grandma’s china.
The party food included everything you would find at a proper tea party; tea sandwiches, tarts, cupcakes, cookies, cake pops, macarons and of course tea! Each girl was given a hand made, heart shaped ornament as a special Valentine.
It was a very sweet day!”

Love this party! Everything is just so sweet and pretty!!
Where can i find bulk tea cups ? we are thinking about having a baby shower “tea” is the theme. We would be giving a tea cupa and saucer w a cup cake as favors.
Go to Good Will, they have them for .50-1.00 a piece. I have collected quite a few by stopping by each week and picking up a few:)
Wonderful ideas. Thank so much for the lovely pictures, too. The sandwiches with the heart cutouts are adorable. – Donna
