Turtle, is that you?

Jerry Ferrara posted a photo of himself to Instagram on Tuesday, and he certainly looks different!

Ferrara, who is best known for his role as the cuddliest – and cushiest – best friend of Vincent Chase on HBO’s Entourage, is pictured lifting weights and flexing some serious muscles.

But the actor, 34, did give us a fair warning, with this caption: “MAJOR MEATHEAD #FLEXIE PHOTO ABOUT TO POST Yup there it is.”

Comments on the photo, which got over 7,400 likes, included “Okay we loved Turtle before … But now … too much hotness.”

The actor, who debuted a notably slimmer look in 2011, told Men’s Health that he dropped the weight by committing to a healthy diet and working out regularly.

This time Ferrara’s chiseled look is in preparation for his role in the upcoming Arturo Gatti biopic, which is executive produced by Mark Wahlberg. Ferrara is getting strong to play the Brazilian boxer, his trainer Jordan Feramisco tells PEOPLE.

“Ever since he got his role for the Arturo Gatti movie, we wanted to get him looking bigger and stronger and bulkier,” said Feramisco.

Ferrara’s fit physique is the result of a combination of lifting weights and boxing, Feramisco said, adding that the star works out with him “about four times a week” at the Unbreakable Performance Center.
