About the author

 Ivan Fantin was born in Milan, Italy, in 1973, where he lives and works, returning from different and interesting experiences in Europe and America.

He is happily married and has two beautiful daughters.

He loves running in the nature to stay healthy.

Having the Master’s degree conquered with a full score in science subjects in the academic year 1999 at the State University of Milan, he began his professional career as a consultant for corporate quality systems and ISO 9000 certifications.

After about a year and a half he choose to deepen and broaden the analysis and reviews of the business flows moving into the Operations and IT fields, collecting six years of international experience in the manufacturing, banking, telecommunication, food and pharmaceutical industries, with the role of Project Manager, Account Manager and finally Program Manager.

In the early stages of the next phase of his career, more than six years of employment within the Medical Devices Group of Danaher Corporation (NYSE: DHR), he devotes himself to the study and the application of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement of business processes. It is in this long evolution towards the challenge of a deeper and deeper reviews of business processes he consolidates the knowledge about the techniques for managing the changes in typical corporate cultures.

In this phase, with an increasing interest in managing the consensus around the organisational changes, he develops his own approach in conducting problem solving coaching sessions and, in general, problem solving applied skills, one of the pillars of successful managers.

Ivan is a Master Black Belt, CPIM, CFPIM and PMP certified professional; after having led Quality and Continuous Improvement programs in some european sites of CIRCOR (NYSE: CIR) he is now Director of Growth Initiatives, Europe, in LivaNova (NASDAQ:LIVN). He regularly delivers public speeches, writes articles, performs problem solving training and coaching sessions, as well as problem solving workshops, both within the group and in collaboration with external organisations. He is also Contract Professor of Problem Solving, Operations and Supply Chain Management in the GMP and Executive MBA Masters  at ESCP Europe, one of the top ranked business schools worldwide.
