Katherine Heigl says she isn’t rude, she’s just ‘made mistakes’

Katherine Heigl is still on damage control following reports that she’s difficult to work with.

In a fan Q&A on Saturday, someone said “I’ve heard rumors that you’re very rude. What’s your thoughts.”

Heigl, 35, who stars on “State of Affairs,” replied, “Yeah I’ve heard those too… honestly I don’t think I am… nothing makes me more uncomfortable than confrontation or hurting someone’s feelings and I would never, ever actively do so on purpose.”

Heigl says she’s not immune to making mistakes. “I’ve made mistakes and unwittingly or carelessly spoken or acted but I always try to make any wrong right. That doesn’t mean I won’t stand up for myself by drawing boundaries and asking to be treated kindly and respectfully but I don’t do that with any rude or unkind intentions just with the same strength and honestly I think every one of us is entitled to.”

It’s no secret that Heigl has burned some bridges in Hollywood—perhaps none more notable than working relationship with Shonda Rhimes.

In a recent issue of The Hollywood Reporter, Rhimes, 44, quipped that unlike her “Grey’s Anatomy” cast, her “Scandal” actors are “tight-knit.”

“There are no Heigls in this situation,” she quipped. “I don’t put up with bulls—t or nasty people. I don’t have time for it.”
