Please post information regarding Founders Brewing in Houston.

This was posted by DonD in the last thread:
Not sure, but my buddy at Ben E Keith sent me a pic of the 4 kegs of KBS (1/4 barrels) that he said are allotted to Houston. So given the initial list from Founders, should be 4 of these.

    Saucer (downtown and Sugarland)
    Hay Merchant
    Petrol
    Cottonwood
    Nobi

My guess would be the first 4, but I think only Saucer Sugarland has confirmed anything to this point. With them getting it, I'd be shocked if downtown didn't. I'd also peg Hay Merchant as a definite. And for selfish reasons, I hope Petrol is the 4th.

Are we allowed to discuss this or is it kept on the hush hush?

I don't see why it would be "hush hush." This is a more specific thread, where in all the information is to pertain to the release and sightings of Founders beers in Houston.

I believe retailers can buy it, they just can't sell it without label approval. Or maybe they just sit in limbo? I don't see a problem discussing it, as Saucer SL has it posted up on their webpage.

Sorry, I misunderstood the question. Thanks Funk.

Just being an arce. That's all. Looks like the perpetratior came out into the open.

Neither do I. I'm hoping Nobi gets it but I doubt it. KBS will probably go to the Saucer's, Hay Merchant and Petrol.

Heard that TABC likes to browse the forums from time to time, so that's how I took it.

I expect KBS to be only at Saucer's, and Hay Merchant. I could possibly see it at Petrol, but from a founders marketing standpoint product exposure wouldn't be at its highest at petrol. I see founders doing like a "take over" style release and using KBS as its anchor to get the most exposure. I don't see petrol doing this.

It's all good trauma. I really hope Nobi gets some also. They have been going full throttle ever since they opened.

On Topic: KBS at Nobi please.

Exactly. Only time I've seen multiples from a brewery is stone.

You know, I don't like Ben E Keith picking up Founders, because I buy my beer at DNQ. I'm not sure where to get my kegs of Founders? Also, I don't buy beer at Spec's, in case you forgot.

I'm glad they picked up Founders but part of me isn't. With no BEK warehouse in SA it'll be more than likely that we'll always have old Founders product just like Stone, Oskar Blues, etc. I know this is a Houston thread but it's gotten annoying with almost everything they deliver here about to expire by the time it gets put on the shelf. I'll stop my bitching, for now.

I'm glad they picked them up, as well, so we can finally have it available to us, I just wish Silver Eagle or Duff picked them up.

I agree, Silver Eagle would have been awesome.

Petrol does all kinds of stouts and porters too. They have Tap Takovers from time to time and have already tweeted abou 4/11 having Founders goodies.

Of course, just a playful jab at them because they love that Most Bitter Bar title.

Funny how there use to be posts on boycotting Saint Arnold just because they were distributed by Silver Eagle.

Ideally, I would rather Duff pick them up, but what are you going to do?
