The $1.9M Lamborghini Centenario Was Just Unveiled and It's Already Sold Out
There’s no such thing as a European auto show without a debut of a super exclusive new Lamborghini, and the Italian automaker definitely didn’t disappoint at this year’s Geneva show.
The Lamborghini Centenario is the automaker’s tribute to the 100th birthday of company founder Ferruccio Lamborghini, and even though the new supercar was just unveiled, it’s already sold out. Only 20 coupes and 20 roadster versions of the car will be built, and all of them have apparently been spoken for. The Centenario starts at 1.75 million euros (US$1.9 million).
All that money will buy those lucky 40 people a few technological advancements and a look that is typical Lamborghini, where everything has been designed to maximize aerodynamics and downforce and keep heat in check.

The Centenario is powered by a screaming naturally aspirated V12 with 770 horsepower. Redline has been increased from 8,350 rpm to 8,600 rpm, which Lamborghini says makes this the most powerful engine the company has ever made. Yes, it’s more powerful than the Veneno and Sesto Elemento.
Built on a carbon fiber monocoque and covered in a gloss carbon fiber body, the car’s dry weight is just 3,351 pounds, so the big V12 gives the Lamborghini Centenario a power to weight ratio of 4.3 pounds per horsepower. Zero to 62 mph can be achieved in 2.8 seconds and the car’s top speed is 217 mph.
Although the car is all-wheel drive, a new rear-wheel steering system will make the Centenario more agile at lower speeds and give it more stability at higher speeds. There’s also an extending rear wing that provides more downforce.
Of course, the Centenario comes with Apple CarPlay and a 10.1-inch touchscreen. There’s also a telemetrics system that allows you to monitor and record performance data like speed, times and g forces, and enough space in the frunk (front trunk) for two racing helmets. A camera to record laps from the cockpit is optional.
The first Lamborghini Centenario will be delivered in the fall of this year.
