69-Day Countdown to 13GE – Mahathirism rides again with all its attendant horrors and monstrosities

Mahathirism rides again, with all its attendant horrors and monstrosities intact.

The latest manifestation of the full-throttled return of Mahathirism is one of the wildest accusations in Malaysian politics – that Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was the real mastermind in the “citizenship-for-votes” scams in Sabah in the nineties known as “Project M”.

When did former Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad discover that Anwar was the mastermind of the project named infamously after him as “Project M”?

Clearly not on January 16, 2013 when revelations at the Sabah Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) on illegal immigrants implicated two of Mahathir’s closest confidantes, former Deputy Home Minister, Megat Junid Megat Ayub and former political secretary Abdul Aziz Shamsuddin in the “Project M” scams from 1990 – 1995 to issue hundreds of thousands of fake blue identity cards and false letters of approval for birth certificates in exchange for votes to illegal immigrants.

Nor on the following day on January 17 when for the first time in two decades, Mahathir publicly admitted the existence of “Project M” but defended it as lawful on the ground that the Filipino illegal immigrants could speak Malay and “have the right to be citizens”, while casting a serious slur on the memory and good name of Tunku Abdul Rahman by alleging that Bapa Malaysia had done worse by giving citizenship to one million unqualified people before Merdeka, lamenting that no one had made it an issue.

Nor for the next two weeks until January 31 when Mahathir suddenly announced that Anwar was the real mastermind of “Project M” responsible for the “citizenship-for-votes” scam in Sabah, although admitting having no proof to back his claim.

How can Mahathir credibly claim that “Project M” might have happened “without any knowledge and orders from the top” when he had openly admitted to its existence and owned up to its authorship on January 17, not only justifying it on the ground that the illegal immigrants spoke Malay, but claiming that he had not done worse than Tunku when he falsely alleged that Bapa Malaysia had issued one million citizenship to unqualified non-Malays before Merdeka?

What credibility is there in Mahathir’s allegation yesterday blaming Anwar for masterminding “Project M” when the two key personalities “from the top” in the “Project M” scams were his own and not Anwar’s right-hand men – namely Megat Junid and Aziz Shamsuddin?

Who would have doubted that if Anwar was the real mastermind of “citizenship-for-votes” scam, Mahathir would have charged Anwar in court or openly accused him for high treason in his efforts for over a decade to kill off Anwar’s political prospects, and not to forget or overlook it for 15 years only to suddenly remember or discover yesterday that it was Anwar and not him who was behind the “Project M” scam?

In fact, if Anwar had been the real mastermind of the “citizenship-for-votes” scam in Sabah, it would have been known as “Project A” instead of “Project M”.
What Malaysians are seeing is Machiavellian Mahathir in full form.

Anwar has denied any role in Project M or Project IC in Sabah, saying that this matter was never brought to the Cabinet and neither did he attend or chair any meeting on it.

He reiterated that he is willing to testify before the RCI on illegal immigrants in Sabah if called to do so.

Anwar accused Mahathir of being responsible for the task force responsible for the citizenships granted to the immigrants.

He also claimed that the exercise was ongoing and suggested that the RCI call up Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak and former premier Abdullah Ahmad Badawi as well.

What Sabahans and Malaysians want is for Anwar, Najib and the two former Prime Ministers, Mahathir and Abdullah, to all testify before the RCI.

Anwar has declared his willingness to appear before the RCI. Are Najib, Mahathir and Abdullah prepared to publicly declare their willingness to appear for the RCI to slot public hearings for the four as topmost RCI priority so as to establish who among the four had committed treason against the country?

Sometimes I wonder if this Mahathir is indeed a human being or a devil in disguise.
Why the hell did India export this barbarian to Malaysia?

Once upon a time, Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall….

Then, Humpty Dumpty had a great fall….

Mahathir laughs and sneers with such a sort that Humpty Dumpty would not fall…..

But then Mahathir forgets that man proposes but God disposes….
All the kings horses and all the king’s men could not put Humpty Dumpty together again…

Tun M being the PM on duty then should be the first to testify and face the music. Then follow the subordinates including Anwar. The bottom line is BN/UMNO by way of the puppet Sabah components such as Berjaya, PBS, SAPP, USNO, UPKO led by locals Harris, Pairin, Yong, Osu, Chong, Musa did not and could not deliver the promise to clear up the illegal immigrant issue since 1976!! The only hope is to give the mandate to a new government (DAP and coalition) who has not committed any corruption and who would not be able to make the illegal Filipino situation worse (with or without Anwar) but instead would be totally transparent for all to judge. If they cannot show anything positive or try their hands in the kitty, then we kick them out! What is there for Sabahans to fear? DAP Coalition with untainted hands is the only way to get the country back on right path. (This same article was censored by Malaysia Today…something familiar)

    Come, come, Mr Mahathir.

Truman said: “The buck stops here.”
Imagine Truman saying, the buck stops at the janitor’s door or the secretary is to take the blame or that the late Megat Junid exceeded MY orders..or Shamsuddin Ali was stupid to carry out MY orders …or the devils’ host of possibilities.

Come, come, Mahathir…. a true man, let alone a statesman, would just own up. I did it and that is it. I am Caesar, and Caesar does not have to give reasons for his behaviour, not to UMNOputras, not to Bumiputras, oh, no, not to Rakyat Malaysia.

Come, come Mahathir-Caesar…. Caesar just tells them so. If Caesar hides himself, shall they not whisper, ‘Lo, Caesar is afraid’? And mahathir is not afraid. No, mahathir will not run even if PR wins. Mahathir is as constant as the northern star like Caesar.

    Oh, brother….

The truth is that he is driven to desperation!!
All his efforts were attempts to ward off the inevitable!
But they will be to no avail!
    The price must be paid!

Azmin of PKR already predicted weeks ago that someone was trying to drag Anwar into the “citizenship-for-votes” scams in Sabah.

I am utterly confused at what Mahathir is doing.

Dragging Anwar with him into the mud He created and all over him, distancing Ibrahim Ali from UMNO when HE himself is the patron of Perkasa and godfather of UMNO/BN?

When the enemy is at the gate, the general, don’t go out and throw sticks and stones!!!

  11. #11 by gofortruth on Friday, 1 February 2013 - 8:29 pm

Mahathir thought he could surely get away by equating his action with that of Tunku Abdul Rahman. He thought Malaysians today are still fools like yester years who can’t spot the difference.

Now he has the nerve to play Tai Chi card on his then deputy Anwar Ibrahim. He even claimed innocent that it was not him but others who did it because they didn’t listen to his order. How cold blooded???

All the real Malays must be cursing & swearing at Mahathir now because he has made so many “Maggie” Malays (like instant noodles) from the Filipinos, Pakistanis, Indonesians etc etc via his treasonous project M in sabah & God knows how many more in the peninsular!

Can Malaysians sue him in court?????

Haven’t we have enough of this idiot’s nonsense ? Shouldn’t we bury this idiot and cast him away to history ? Lets’ just vote this idiot’s voice piece away to start a new chapter in Malaysia.

“According to the Malaysia Today editor (RPK), the Tunku died a heartbroken man and neither spoke to, nor forgave the person whom he blamed as the architect of the mess – Dr Mahathir Mohamad.”

Have we Malaysians forgiven Mahathir? Tunku never forgave him; I don’t think malaysians would. History will record him as the most despised PM and probably the most morally corrupt PM too. He is an angel in his own eyes, he-who-can-do-no-wrong, a perfect-blamer and eternal scapegoat-hunter. When he has run out blaming all politicians and the Malays and the Rakyat, I believe he would then turn around and blame God. Only mahathir is perfect; oh, he is the great rationaliser.

When cornered like a rat, he ‘quaked’ Tunku as he had intended all this while but inadvertently called more attention to his MMak roots, hence now he gostunt and same reaction ‘quacked’ AI hopelessly to divert attention away.
A rat reacts typically the same always, when cornered again, and again,,,
,,MaMa Kutty is now caught in his own set-up maze !!!
See what other diversionary/ill-conceived acts from MMKutty again.
So far, attempted to incite racial disharmony thro’ Ibrahim A. , did a despicable traitorous act, can conveniently become senile/absent minded suddenly, tried to get Bodowi to build a crooked bridge, remained dumb in the face of Wikipedia posting of being filthy rich, ,,,etc,,,etc,,,
A disease he infected UMNO/bn, only way is BY ABU TO WIPE OUT THIS DISEASE COMPLETELY !
COMES G13,RISE OF PAKATAN RAKYAT NEXT !

Most of the greatest evils that man has inflicted upon man have come through people feeling quite certain about something which, in fact, was false. That said, one is as healthy as the lies one tells!

  20. #20 by john on Saturday, 2 February 2013 - 9:18 am

MamaKutty is adopting same hoodwink tactics to fool example the kampung folks again , and again. These lies, propaganda meant solely for certain segment of the voters and spread widely BY Utusan.
REMEMBER the trick he pulled on T Razaleigh wearing the ‘HAT’ being circulated widely at the crucial moment without T R any chance of clarifying. Though we have the internet not all have access and importantly where and when !!!

No wonder it was a must for foreign workers who intend to come to work in Malaysia, to undergo training at the half way house, where they will learn, house keeping, cooking and speaking Bahasa Malaysia(Malay language)so that they will be given Blue My Card.
On top of that, Malaysia is the only country where a foreigner can apply for Visa upon/on arrival.(VoA)
    No?

To solve the problem of lying and insinuation created by the extyrant ,the devil mamak,PR people should make nation wide police reports on this most hateful person in bolehland who committed so many wrongdoings and misdeeds that has caused the nation to regress and millions of people stricken by high cost of living and poverty.

Tunku Abdul Rahman, God bless his soul.

Mahathir Mohamad, may God do whatever he wishes with his soul.

I think God is having his last laugh… for a man is trying to do what angels fear to do and treading where angels fear to tread. Ha, ha..

One can live with a few thousands of illegals given citizenship…but we are dealing with millions???

This is a very serious national security matter with permanent, long term and far reaching consequences.

In any democratic, modern and civilised society/country, any person in position of power, trust and/or influence, carrying out these criminal acts against the country will be treated like a traitor and punish to the full extent of the law.
