BRUNSWICK, Maine — A member of a road crew working at a site on Barrows Street was rushed to Maine Medical Center in Portland on Tuesday morning after the wall of a trench partially collapsed on him at about 8:45 a.m., according to rescue workers.

The man, whose name and age were not released, complained of back pain, according to Deputy Chief Don Koslosky of the Brunswick Fire Department.

Koslosky said the injuries were not life-threatening.

The crew was working for Ray Labbe and Sons Construction of Brunswick.

The federal Occupational and Safety Health Administration was contacted, according to Brunswick police Officer Dan Sylvain.
