GHAC Leadership Team Selection - Application 2015 - Administrative - Non Outdoors



GHAC is a registered Not for Profit adventure club that works on community building and youth development through its various adventure activities. Its in the 7th year of operations with over 20000 members and 150 outdoor leaders and over 500 volunteers. GHAC is Indias Largest and most active adventure club and has been featured in the Limca books of records 2013.

At GHAC we are forming a new Leadership team for year 2015-2017 . The selected team will work together to achieve the vision towards building a strong adventure community,develop confident youth and future leaders with good character and leadership abilities through adventure based learning.

Applications are invited from GHAC members who want to volunteer and be part of the leadership team for 2015-2017. This is a wonderful opportunity to enhance your leadership skills by volunteering with GHAC.

SELECTION PROCESS
1) Apply by submitting the form by 15 April 2015
2) Appear for Interview by between 15 April - 24th April 2015.
3) Volunteering Agreement and Selection Announcement - 25th April
4) Induction and Training Post 25th April.
5) Commencement of Role from 15 May 2015.


WHAT ROLE TO APPLY FOR:
1)You can apply for the Lead position (only one will be selected per role)
or
2) You can apply for the Team Position where you will be part of the Team supporting the Lead.

For Team Lead the Candidate has the required professional qualification with minimum experience of 5 years.
For Team Member the Candidate has the required professional qualification or experience of 2 year as per the role .

LEADERSHIP TEAM ROLES.
-
1) Head - Training & Development-
- Heads Talent Management, Training and Development of all Leaders in the club
Requires Professional Qualification in Training or HR

2) Head - Finance
Heads the Finance Team and takes care of Accounts.
Requires Professional Qualification in Financial Management or Accounts

3) Head - Public Relations & Communication
- Heads the PR and Communications, Newsletter, Digital / Social Media Team
- Public Relations or Media experience desired.

4) Head - Membership
Heads the Membership Team and for member welfare and support.

5) Head - Club Welfare
- Heads the Club Welfare Team that takes care of club social events, organiser welfare and member bonding events.

6) Club Secretary
- Takes care of meetings, club communication, correspondence, filling reports and minutes of meetings.

7) General Counsel
- is the legal counsel for the club
Requires professional Legal Qualification of LLB / CS

8) Head - Club Administration
- Heads the administrative team and takes care of day to day administrative matters of the club.



RESPONSIBILITIES
Overall responsibility for Team Lead
Provide a positive image of GHAC in performance of duties/tasks/education on behalf of GHAC.  
Perform mentoring/coaching/leadership role in an area of responsibility in support of GHAC.  
Lead, Mentor and Delegate a Team
Update Task lists as needed and keep the Leadership Team Informed
Submit Monthly Reports to the Leadership Team
Attend Monthly Leadership Team meeting
Conduct Monthly Team Meeting with Team Members
Attend or conduct Regular training workshop to enhance skills

TIME COMMITMENT
Variable, but often quite substantial.  Generally a continuing commitment of 5 hours a week or more for Team Leads and 2 hours or more per week for Team Members.
Meet Once a month on every second Wed Morning of the month from 8 am to 10 am.
Mentor, Lead and delegate among the teams to complete assigned Tasks on time.
Conduct or Attend Training workshops (2-3 hours) in areas of interest once per month.
Attend Advance Leadership Trainings and complete the assignments to gain skills and knowledge

Believe in the capabilities of those with whom you interact as part of volunteer assignment
Effective in delegating assignments and responsibility to others
Working knowledge of the GHAC club and community is essential
Actively recruits and trains other volunteers for the role
   

QUALIFICATIONS
Great Passion for Adventure, Outdoors and Community Building
Appropriate Qualification or experience for the specific role as per the given SPECIALIZATION AREAS below
Interest in sharing skills or knowledge
Willingness and ability to work together in a team and follow GHAC guidelines, policies and Procedures
Fulfill  responsibilities without  the expectation of monetary compensation
Interested in providing organizational on-going support to a specific club/project/program area or series
Willingness to continue expertise building, attend updates/training to both prepare for the assignment and to effectively carry out different assignments
