Students in the iconic tourist town of Apollo Bay on the Great Ocean Road attend school in second-hand portables that were placed on-site in the 1950s. These near - derelict buildings are freezing in winter and unbearably hot in summer. In heavy rain the classrooms leak. Door and window frames are rotting out and mould is covering the walls. Our school is falling apart. In 2011, the State Government provided money to  redesign the school with commitments to allocate funding for a complete rebuild in the 2012 budget. The plans are now complete but the government has failed to allocate funding. Our teachers and students face another year of unacceptable conditions. We request that Ted Baillieu commit to providing basic infrastructure for State Schools and honour his commitment to rebuild the Apollo Bay P-12 College.
