Great place that's been around for years, the food and service are always very prompt and tasty, they also have all you can eat fish and chips on Fridays. Portion to price is a bit less versus other places around town, but the live entertainment makes up for that.
We've been there numerous times, and will continue to go back!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 1326341056Jan 4, 2024Updated review4 check-ins
Hell yes, the food is great, beer is cold, this is the oldest bar in Michigan they say. If I want to impress someone with a burger and beer spot they never fail to impress it's good every time unlike so many places hit or miss. This place always hits. Yes, for sure I recommend this spot for a great burger and cold beer.

Hands down the best burger I have ever eaten.
I am a burger snob. if you read my silly post you'll notice that maybe. All jokes aside I ordered the bacon, cheese burger with Gorgonzola for cheese, add sautéed mushrooms and onion with onion rings home made. I only tell it how it is on Yelp and I'm telling you Damn can't wait to come back for the all you can eat cod fish fry every Friday watch for my check in. Highly highly highly recommend this great oldest bar in Michigan - Susan T.Livonia, MI06Apr 14, 2024
Well if you haven't been here you haven't visited the oldest bar in MI! Great service, yummy food and just a great place to hang out and unwind. They have daily specials and different things going on many nights. It's a go to place to just be real, get great food and be treated like family. They always work well with families too.

Went to open mic night on a Monday. Liked the atmosphere a lot. Service was excellent!! Waitstaff was kind and friendly and on top of things. Great ambiance. The prices for a Monday and no happy hour on a Monday was a bit off putting. On average beers were $8 (basic beer). White claws $6.50. Sliders $2 each. Chips and salsa $4. I thought the food was good and decent prices but beers were pretty pricey.

The best burger near Novi. They cook it to perfection. On weekends there is live music as well. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Love this dive bar. Rumor is that it's the oldest in the state. I looove their nachos! I tend not to drink beer on draft because their lines don't seem to be cleaned well. Staff is always good.
They have live music and that's fun. I enjoy the crowd there as well! Great local spot!Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 0 - Dorothy T.Plymouth, MI1067615Jun 20, 2023
Fantastic burgers. I always order medium rare and I don't think they've ever hit the temperature correctly (they tend to come out medium to medium well) but it almost doesn't matter because the meat is seasoned beautifully. Their onion rings are handmade and you can tell. They are everything an onion ring should be. I love their fries too.
Service is solidly good. I've never had to hunt down our server while at the same time they're never hovering.
The history and nostalgia of the place is second to none. I love visiting old restaurants, hotels and bars, and this was was all three at one time or another.
It's a bar, so don't expect anything fancy. Everyone is welcome. The music is loud, it's got a great group of regulars, and it's a favorite with bikers. you'll also find a group of gals coming from golf or a local couple/family.
This would be five stars but for the issue with the cook on the burger (which is a personal preference for sure). Definitely give them a try!Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - John E.Novi, MI011662Sep 21, 2023
Went to this place on 9:21 around 5:30 PM. I had high hopes for this place, but the service was awful. It took about 40 min to cook a burger and chicken strips.
The waitress dropped our food and the food tumbled all over place. She just got up and left. She didn't offer to remHelpful 0Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 1 - John G.NC, NC01Feb 24, 2024
Food and service was great, Problem was with the bill. When it came they turned a $16 burger into a $25 burger because I added jalapeño. Which according to them turned it into a build your own. There is nothing on the menu to indicates that's the policy. It's unfortunate how many people they've probably taken advantage of. They did fix it when confronted which is when my waitress told us that she was yelled at for trying to get a side of jalapeño instead of turning into a build your own burger. The price gouging is intentional .

I love the Huddy! It's been around longer than the state of Michigan and is a gem for food and drinks. It looks like a biker bar but don't be afraid to go in and grab a seat. They offer a lot of great events, entertainment, and it's a lively scene.
Food is great; burgers are huge, the "Sams Ham" is awesome, especially for breakfast when they add an egg to it, and you get a pretty good value for what you pay.
It's the type of place I could sit all day and have a good time.
I will say, they get a lot of flies on the patio in warmer months so that's annoying and yeah it's not the most modern, up to date spot but that adds a certain charm to the place.
Would recommend trying it several times as it's a good bar and grill!Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 1Dec 19, 2018Previous reviewThis is one of the best hidden gems in the state! It was a gem before Michigan was even a state! Not high on comfort or modern decor, this is a local staple high on good times, good food, and easy riding attitudes. Known as mostly a biker bar, some people may be turned off by the sight of 17 Harleys parked out front but don't be. Plenty of room for all. And a lot of the building he kept it's original look, from the floors to the rafters
The burgers are a must. That or the Sam's Ham, a thick cut ham sandwich that's covered in melted Swiss. Also great beer selection and specials. It's just a no nonsense, down to earth spot that caters to the local clientele, but you'll see bikers, golfers, cube rats on lunch, hipsters, etc all hanging out together here. Especially Summer; their deck is excellent to grab a beer and watch a game or get lunch. It's a staple in the area and high in my list of notable places to check out both for its history and its offerings.
