Pen Argyl Area High School's Dylan Evans commits to University of Akron for football

The Green Knights running back and defensive back likes the school so much, he's given a verbal commitment to join the Zips next season.

Evans, who is being recruited as an outside linebacker, rushed for 2,064 yards and scored 31 total touchdowns (29 rushing, one receiving, one INT return) this past season for Pen Argyl.

He said he mainly considered PSAC schools East Stroudsburg and Millersville before settling on Akron and, plans on forgoing a visit to Bloomsburg.

Evans, a two-way all-Colonial League first team selection, was a member of the 2011 Express-Times All-Area First Team. He won the 2010 Jim Gum Award and
