CAA has signed Caitlyn Jenner, who until recently was best known as the Kardashian clan patriarch and former gold medal decathlete Bruce Jenner. The agency will work with her to create a platform for her activism and efforts to bring awareness to the transgender community. CAA will rep Jenner for speaking engagements and its CAA Foundation will counsel her to find avenues that will best afford Jenner the opportunity to address LGBT issues.
Jenner will be awarded the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the ESPYs next month. She first revealed her transgender status to Diane Sawyer and then officially unveiled her name on the cover of Vanity Fair. Jenner has said that a major reason to go public with her transformation is the high volume of suicide attempts among young transgenders who has no idea how to handle something so traumatic. Of course, a reality series is also part of the plan.
