Plot. Walter White cautiously examines his house in search of Jesse Pinkman, who broke in and doused it in gasoline. Jesse is absent, but Walt finds white powder in Saul Goodman's crashed car, suspecting that Jesse is high on meth.

Jesse yells that Walt can't keep getting away with the things he has done, mentioning that he poisoned a child as a means to an end. Hank suggests that there is a better way; he and Jesse can work together to take down Walt.

Jesse realizes that it was Walt who poisoned Brock, and beats Saul down until he gets a complete confession to it. While it was clear to the audience that Jesse was aware that Walt killed Mike, Jesse finally confirms it out loud to him in the desert. Walt Jr. learns that Walt's cancer is back.

Despite Hank's best efforts, Skyler decides to protect Walt rather than cooperate with the DEA, believing that Hank's mission to take down Heisenberg is going too far. Meanwhile, Walt buries his drug profits in the New Mexico desert, which takes up the entire day.
