The Hwacheon Sancheono Ice Festival was a fantastic day! The activities were varied and the event was fun and well organized. Lots of fish were being caught. The grilled fish was delicious. The tour was on time, well organized and Spring, our guide, was great!

one of the best highlights of my winter trip! this tour is super worth it and such a bargain! hassle free. and lots of freebies with the ticket. the fish was quite delicious too! it took me more than an hour to catch fish but someone from our bus group exchanged rod and lure with me and gave me tips. then i started catching fish right after. get the big bright yellow lure if u can. flick the rod so the lure swims like a fish. have fun! the ice sculpture was cool but so many people. but it was nice to just see for a few minutes.

A unique experience filled with lots of activities to do! I like that they take you to the museum of ice at the end. We arrived an hour later than scheduled to the festival so I just wish there would have been more time to do more, but other than that, our guide Michelle was really nice and helpful. I think the package included a lot of things for the price, so definitely worth going!

Being a fisherman myself , it was something I wish to experience. Baring the cold , I had a great time catching fishes. The festival was enjoyable as they had a lot of facilities to cater for the young and old. Truly worth booking a tour with them as I was well organised and we had ample time to try everything. I had a great time with this activity. Our host Michelle (Mi-Sun) was very helpful and would try her best to answer the many questions I had during this trip. She was very kind and wanted to make sure that I had a great experience throughout the entire day. The activities were fun and engaging, even if you've never done any of these things before, I highly recommend trying them with this great packaged tour!

We booked this tour for 5 adults and 2 children. The kids had a lot of fun ice fishing. My youngest didn’t enjoy the fishing, but she enjoyed going around collecting our catch. Standing on ice was a little cold so wear good shoes. We also played on the sled and ended the tour with a visit to ice sculpture museum. It was very fun and engaging for the group. Definitely recommended!

But they would not allow me to give my already paid for ticket to another customer- it angers me that they let my ticket go to waste for profit. This was unnecessary and poor practice of decency. I would have liked if he had brought us to the ice fishing area and gave us a little more guidance. I saw one of the. This was the best deal I could ever ask for for this festival. The transportation was on time and the guide was very friendly and communicative. The grilled fish was delicious and the 5,000 won coupon allowed my friend and I to have a lot of different snack foods as well. She speak slowly for us to catch up with her cause for last minute booking, we can not join the english speaking guide tour as it is fully booked already. Luckily we can understand a bit chinese. Today such a lucky day for us since we catched all fishes in about 30 minutes. Enjoyed our lunch before 12, we got free grilled trout and we ordered california trout rolls and trout cutlet. All so delicious. We were so full and feel so blessed ♡ (most indonesian people really love to eat) we went for bobsledding for 3 times as allowed by our tour then went to ice sculpture plaza. Trying trout sancheoneo fish cake aka odeng at the food court in the ice fishing area then when to take pictures. We started our journey back to seoul at 4.40pm. We are still on the way now. overall good!! :) just came back on 26Jan2018, highly recommmended!! pick up was punctual. The guide was nice and friendly. Just 2 things i think can improve on. 1. Description of the activities at the festival wasn't explain in details by the guide and abit not accurate on the website. apparently the snow sled which indicated additional cost 5,000won, but when we were there, it was FOC(3 times). of coz we were pleasantly surprised. but we didnt try the rest of the activities. so dont know whether they were FOC anot. we thought it'll be nice if the guide could describe a little from the map given to us. we also have to look for a way ourselves towards the fishing around(it was a big round), as they divided the fishing area between locals n foreigners. a few things we didnt know until we parted from the guide. 2. dropoff point. wasn't the same where we were drop off. we purposely booked our hotel just opposite the pickup area which is at Myeongdong Prince Hotel, so that we dont have to spend time finding the pickup location. and we were a little upset that the drop off point was different and we were not told ahead until when we were drop off, then we realise it was a different location at myeongdong, and we didnt have chance to ask the guide as they need to rush off to the 2nd dropoff point at dongdaemum. as its our first time in seoul, we walked a big round back to our hotel.

As fishing enthusiasts, it’s has been a dream for us to try ice fishing and experience this for ourselves. One tiny regret is that I would wanna grill the fish I catch myself, haha! That would have been memorable! Nonetheless, I would recommend everyone to go for the festival and experience it themselves because it is truly worth the effort.

We had such a great time at the festival. It's a must when visiting Korea. The organisation was great and great value for money.
