“I am not leaving radio,” the board-certified internist and addiction specialist, 57, said in a statement. “The Loveline brand is still strong and perhaps we will bring it back some day. But for now, this version is ending and I will be focusing on all of my other projects.”

Although he will no longer be offering sex advice to curious callers, the doctor turned media personality will remain busy with his many other projects including a gig on HLN, the radio show Dr. Drew Midday Live with Mike Catherwood on 790-KABC Los Angeles and the Adam and Dr. Drew Podcast, which will soon begin to air Monday through Friday. Pinsky’s last Loveline show will air on April 28.

Pinsky then stepped into the world of television when he was asked to star in an MTV-produced Loveline series that ran on the network from 1996 to 2000. Since then, the Mirror Effect: How Celebrity Narcissism Is Seducing America author has expanded his broadcast career to such TV shows as Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew, Sober House and Sex Rehab with Dr. Drew. He also mediates the reunion specials for Teen Mom OG and Teen Mom 2.
