My client is a Cape Town based leading provider of marine electronics equipment and services to the marine industry specialising in marine navigation, communication and safety equipment.
An exciting opportunity exists to form part of a growing sales team in the Western Cape.
My client is looking for a sales representative/sales professional who is astute, dynamic and self-motivated with an excellent track record of service, and being able to grow an existing account
Your duties will include:
Manage the allocated territory and deliver on assigned revenue and profit targets
Represent the very best brands in the marine electronics industry and will be responsible for the performance and development of your sales activities in the assigned market.
Providing an excellent level of dedication and customer service to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction.
Manage and call upon customer accounts as well aggressively develop new business in the sector
Compile and submit weekly and monthly sales reports, including maintain an accurate up-to-date sales pipeline
Communicate closely with management team regarding prevailing market activities and conditions
Implement and monitor marketing initiatives

Requirements

My client is looking for candidates who meet the following minimum requirements:
Grade 12 + 10 years of sales or marine industry experience essential
Preference will be given to individuals with maritime market experience
An appropriate marketing degree (or equivalent) will be an advantage

Resourceful in solving new and challenging problems. Adept at generating conceptual possibilities and then analysing them strategically.
Good at reading other people.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - able to communicate as easily with a skipper on a boat, as you can in an executive board meeting.
Outstanding written and spoken skills in English and Afrikaans
Computer literacy including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Must be able to multitask, be able to work in a pressurised, multi-functional team and communicate on multiple levels
Valid driver’s licence
