If you’re dreaming of a white Christmas this year, the forecasters have a little advice: Keep dreaming.
New York will be anything but a winter wonderland when Santa flies by on Christmas Eve.

“I can definitely tell you there won’t be snow,” said National Weather Service meteorologist Carlie Buccola.
She said Thursday’s predicted 70-degree temperatures could break a record, and the low 60s on Christmas Day could come close.
Bad for snowman building, but great for riding new bikes.
“It’s crazy,” said David Ontinoff, 36, a project manager from West Orange, N.J., was doing some Christmas shopping for friends in SoHo.
“I don’t even need to go anywhere for a sunny vacation. It doesn’t change the holiday, but it changes the gifts. Instead of coats and sweaters I can buy shorts and shirts.”
