MINI CollectiBytes: A quick collection of MINI news, headlines and fun stuff.

1) The 2013 MINI Countryman recently hit US Dealerships. MINI's biggest model incorporates a few interior changes that some will welcome and others will criticize:
No more window Toggle Switches

  • the long-standing, centrally located window toggle controls (considered a MINI staple) are now traditional door-mounted switches
  • the polarizing plastic grey center speedo and vent surrounds sport a new color treatment, Carbon Black, providing a unified, seamless look to the MINI Countryman dashboard
  • vertical door grips, present on all MINIs, have been removed from the restyled front armrests
  • rear bucket seats have been replaced with a bench seat
