Going sci-fi: Lady Gaga curbs the shock tactics for once as her intergalactic face is projected on stage during Born This Way tour
She's spent the last couple of weeks pulling out all the stops to stir the audience on her Born This Way tour with her shock tactics.
But on Wednesday night during her Nice, France stop Lady Gaga reigned in her outrageous outfits, for her at least.
Although she of course provided something new for the crowds as she continued the trek across Europe.

Like you've never seen her before: Lady Gaga avoided her normal shock tactics during her concert in Nice on Wednesday night but instead opted to have her face projected on stage for a sci-fi look
The Poker Face hitmaker went for an intergalactic style look for the French show as her face was projected into a large diamond shape.
The yellowy green face made it look something out of Red Dwarf, The Wizard of Oz or even TV game show Crystal Maze with its predominant shape.
But the rest of the show saw Gaga perform in more reserved get-ups than she has recently been seen in.
Not as risque as usual: The Poker Face hitmaker wore a cropped top for a different outfit matched with a printed robe
Crowd pleaser: Unlike her recent outlandish shows, Gaga was seen carrying a French flag while covering up in leather during the extensive set
She stomped on stage in one outfit consisting of leather trousers and a studded jacket, while she carried a French flag to win over gig goers.
In another ensemble she showed off her physique in a cropped top and hot pants over a printed robe as she continued her animated set.
While another outfit saw her in a gold crop-top ensemble as she was flanked by dancers.
Routines: Gaga wore a gold ensemble as she was flanked by dancers but for once kept the guns and meat garments out of her set
Crowd participation: The pop superstar appeared to have made some fans' day by inviting them on stage with her during the night
It was a far cry from the other outfits she's been seen in this week alone.
Her shock tactics to date have included wearing a controversial dress made entirely of meat and hatching out of an egg live on stage.
And on Tueday night, Lady Gaga added wielding a machine gun at her audience to that list as she performed in Milan as part of her Born This Way tour.
Emerging from a stone castle, the 26-year-old singer looked positively angelic in a flowing white gown, matching fur coat and a trademark quirky headpiece as she held a giant machine gun in her hands.
Whatever next: Lady Gaga wielded a machine gun as she performed in Milan, Italy, on Tuesday night
Trigger happy: The 26-year-old singer looked positively angelic in a white fur coat... aside from her choice of weapon accessory
And that wasn't the only gun reference of the evening, with the Edge of Glory hitmaker later showing off her curves in a black bralet with weapons strapped to the front.
As usual, Gaga was out to shock with her spectacular showcase, and made sure to flash the flesh in a series of revealing outfits as she took to the stage in Italy.
In addition to her skimpy ensembles, the New Yorker added a host of weird and wonderful outfits to her collection, including a giant statue of liberty headpiece.

Meanwhile, in another set, Mother Monster channelled her inner rock chick, taking to the stage in leathers on a fierce motorbike.
And once again, the carnivorous theme was back in force, with Gaga taking her obsession to a new extreme by reclining back on a sofa made entirely of meat while surrounded by her troupe of dancers.
The star later ripped off her outer clothing to delight crowds with her controversial meat dress once again as giant lions hung in the background of the stage.

Futuristic: The Alejandro hitmaker opted for a series of eccentric white stage costumes as she hit Milan for the latest stage in her Born This Way tour
Going for gold: Gaga flaunted her cleavage in a gold cutaway number
But it would seem being in Italy has made Gaga somewhat homesick for her New York-based Italian father, Joe Germanotta.
Writing on her Twitter page, she said: 'little italian girls all grown up, living the life. @germanottajoe be home soon daddy for spaghetti.'
And it wasn't just her family the star was longing for as she continues travelling the world on her epic 113-date tour.

Meaty men: Mother Monster was surrounded by a group of male dancers as she performed one of her many routines
Gaga also confessed she was missing her boyfriend, actor Taylor Kinney, whose new show Chicago Fire previewed in the US on Tuesday night.
She tweeted: 'Miss T so much, so excited his show CHICAGO FIRE has their premiere 2nite. Congratulations Dick Wolf and the whole cast! Sending my love!'
It's back! The star wore her famous controversial meat dress as she performed in front of two giant loins
