28 Days of Spring Fashion (Day 23)

Happy Friday! I feel like it’s been a loooong week. I’m not sure why but it feels that way.

It’s Day 23 of my 28 Days of Spring Fashion and I’m adding accessories to a white shirt and jeans to update the look.

28 Days of Spring Fashion (Day 23)
Most of us have a white shirt and jeans (If you’re looking for a great pair of jeans, I highly recommend these Wit & Wisdom jeans, one of my favorites). They’re a great wardrobe staple to have in your closet. The key is adding some cute accessories to update the look.

I love this white top from JCPenney. It doesn’t cling to my stomach area. It’s 100% rayon and does need to be hand washed. I have several things I hand wash in my washer (my washer has a hand wash cycle, that’s hand washing right??).

I recently received this adorable tassel scarf in my Stitch Fix box. It’s a great spring scarf and pops some color!

The tassels are trendy and add a cute element to the scarf.

You can also add a trendy pair of heels or sandals. Shoes can make an outfit pop and it’s fun to experiment with different styles.

This is a good time of year to look through your closet and make sure you have some white shirts (no dingy ones). Also I have a white tank top under my shirt.

In the summer time I like to purchase inexpensive tank tops because I usually get self tanning lotion on them and by the end of the summer, they don’t look that good. The tami tanks from Old Navy are inexpensive and work well.

This would be a great date night outfit with my hubby!

Do you have white shirts or camis that you like to wear during the spring/summer?

  1. ok — so how is it that you get such cute things in your Stitchfix boxes? 🙂
I was using them for about 6 months but I had to stop because they weren’t listening to me … boo hoo …
I even told them to send me what they send you — LOL — no luck.

  2. I thought it was just me who isn’t getting the emails anymore…well, sporadically. And they come later at night. Love reading your notes…I’m a pastor’s wife but closer to 70…
    Have a wonderful Lord’s day 🙂

  3. Hi
    Love your outfit!
    Also want you to know
Post not coming thru and numerous
    Ads for hormel on website.
These come on during your posts.

  4. I just discovered your blog (can’t imagine why it took so long) and I am loving it. You style what real women wear with items most of us already have in our closets or can inexpensively obtain. Thank you.

  5. Cyndi, now that you mention your self tanner I need to know the name of it! I need to tan my legs up for some upcoming summer weddings and I don’t want to have to wear any hose! Thanks 😉

  6. I like everything about this outfit! Love the scarf and I have my eyes on those shoes!! It turned off cool today in Ga, so I finally wore the yellow sweater from Target. I really liked how comfortable it was and how it barely skimmed my body!

  7. Love this look! Saw it on Facebook so followed that link here.
    For some reason I didn’t get today’s e:Mail. yesterday’s came about 10pm. not sure what’s happening there.

  8. This is yet another amazing outfit. It looks comfortable yet classy. I really wish that the scarf was available through another source. The colors are great. I just look so forward to your daily posts. God is truly blessing each one of us through you. Thank you for listening to His call.

  9. This is a great look! I love that scarf….wish we knew where else it could be purchased. Can you tell us who makes it? I have these Wit and Wisdom jeans. They are so comfortable and they aren’t so low cut! Love them!

  10. I love this outfit – looks so easy and fresh – and put together!!! I do wear a cami under most of my things, and also in the winter (we live in Minnesota) I wear a “cuddl dud” for a layer of extra warmth! I do love your scarf as well – great colors, and I have always like tassels or fring on my scarfs – it adds a little texture and an extra “interest” to a scarf – you look amazing today, as always!!!

  11. Cindi, I’m not sure if anyone else has not been receiving some of your posts via email but I didn’t receive yesterday’s and one day earlier this week. Also there are many more distracting ads popping up. Just wanted to let you know. I did get your post today and you look darling as always! I’m purging my closet today and I’m happy to say I have several nice white shirts. I organize my closet by color and it’s taken me three hours just to get through whites, ivorys and taupes! It takes a lot of time trying things on and letting go of items but I’m making progress! And a portion of my closet is looking fabulous and ready for Spring! Happy Friday!

  12. I love to wear a men’s tank style t-shirt under my blouses or dresses. They are inexpensive and cut high up at the neck line. Darling outfit!

    1. Phillicia, I never thought about the men’s department to find tanks. I’m always looking for higher neckline tanks because my torso is short and many women’s tanks fall too low on me. Where have you found the best selection?

  13. Okay I’m leaving a comment because when I answer your comments, I don’t think you’re getting an email.
I’ve contacted my web person and hopefully it will get fixed. I’m trying to answer them through my inbox.
So don’t think I’m not reading them and I’m trying to answer them. Promise!!
    Cyndi

    1. Thanks, Cyndi! I’m not getting the e-mails most of the time now. Also, the ads are getting more numerous throughout your posts. I still type in the address and read between the ads because I don’t want to miss a day!
